When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organisation has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS was directed by J.J. Abrams ("Super 8"), from a screenplay written by Damon Lindelof, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Returning for the sequel are Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Zoë Saldana, and Anton Yelchin. Joined by new cast members Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller. Now available at your local Blockbuster.

One of the best movies in 2013. Very underrated IMO. And yes, Cumberbatch was awesome.

The scene where Marcus receives the message from London, he clearly calls him "John Erickson" not "John Harrison"

Ah, well at least that now explains where Pike's more sombre dialogue towards Kirk that was used in the trailers came from.

Cumberbatch occasionally hammed it up with over acting...

But that's what makes Star Trek Star Trek so I guess it worked out fine.

You guys bored today? I also have some blu ray extras I can post on here...

This movie is great. A bit of overacting I agree but otherwise a great film. Star Wars is in good hands.

This film has entertained me greatly in my down time residing in the Bat-cave.

I loved this movie!! Are these not on the Bluray disc?
Reasonnnn - 3/4/2014, 3:53 PM
You guys are high on something. Movie was one of the biggest disappointments of cinema in 2013, not just geek culture/comicbook films. Abrams and Kurtzman/Orci hacks had 3 1/2 years to write this crap? I love Cumberbatch and his performance, but there was no reason for him to be Khan (and I'm not even a trekkie!).

Dont listen to ^ that guy, great movie!! This and Man of Steel were my two favorites of 2013!!

They need new writers with better perspective and some gut wrenching gritty turn for the next because, the last one was a 4 year cut and paste from an already legendary Wrath of Khan.

Cutting and pasting gentlemen will not do. Not at all. Bloody lazy bastards.

I wish I could make their kind of money redoing old stuff, ripping off preexisting films in the same franchise to make my script, while totally ruining something millions of people already loved. Well, maybe one day. Now JJ can make a Star Wars movie more like a Trek movie! "I have a bad feeling about this!"
Reasonnnn - 3/4/2014, 5:41 PM
@Arrowhead Were those two the only movies you watched last year? :)
Arrowhead77 - 3/4/2014, 6:18 PM
Nope, I just have impeccable taste in cinema!
MediaMan - 3/4/2014, 6:56 PM
They should have deleted the whole movie.

Deleted scenes from Into Darkness is like shit never shat. So I guess this shit has finally been shat out.

No,they were not on the bluray,or dvd. Paramount screwed the fans over, again,by having all the extras all over the place, different vendors, online and so on. But some fans don't buy into their crap and are waiting for a proper release with all the extras in one convenient 2 disc set, lol! In the back of their mind they know they could've had just that little bit more money if they hadn't screwed up. Must be annoying knowing that, lol!

J-R!

Okay, I think it's cool that Klingons were dancing, but why? Just some spontaneous fun? And who was the little girl?
JediPhilosopher - 3/5/2014, 6:32 AM
Oh, right, the girl who needed the transfusion. I forgot.
Jdo4031 - 3/5/2014, 6:40 AM
