Why would paramount make a film about these series when the JJ abrahams reboot have setup a nice new film franchise...
Only the enterprise deserves to be on the big screen...

Actually, what Abrams did was to establish different universe in which Vulcan no longer exists, but it is never specified that the old universe is not there anymore. All that would be different in the old one would be the lack of Spock. That's it. So from one tiny little time travel, they split the Star Trek universe into two universes. The Abrams Universe and the Shatner universe.
I say make more shows in the Shatner universe and more movies in the Abrams universe.

No! I voted Enterprise but only because I got confused! What I thought I was voting for was Next Generation.

How can you say that the Seven of Nine character is a rip-off of Data?
If anything, Voyager’s holographic Doctor is analogous to TNG’s Data: Both Data and the Doctor get involved in court cases to establish their legal rights as “Persons”, even though technically, neither one is a “Human Person”.
In “Author, Author” (Voyager Season 7, Episode 20), the Doctor wins some limited right for him to manage his rights to a Holo Novel he has written. (Interesting, since he IS a hologram!)
OTOH, Seven of Nine was a human, who seeks to regain her humanity after losing 20 years of her life to the Borg. I like the way in which each episode builds on the previous ones, where 7of9 begins as someone the crew (except for the Captain) does not trust. Eventually, 7of9 becomes a full crew member and proves her loyalty is to Voyager and NOT to the evil Borg.
As for a Voyager Movie, there are several possibilities:
(A)In broad terms, a Voyager movie, or series of movies need not, or should not, be wrapped up in an early Jim Kirk movie, since they describe events that are separated by about 100 years. Suppose a JJ Abrams (Jim Kirk) movie comes out in, say, 2013. A Voyager movie could come out in 2015 or even 2014, with all different character, plot, history, etc. I would, of course, NOT bring out both movies in the SAME year, since they would appeal to many of the same movie fans.
(B)Katherine Mulgrew’s movie concept of following the Voyager crew after they return to earth is good, but the fans want to see them is space again! Starfleet could refurbish Voyager with enhanced Warp Drive, sensors, weapons, etc. and give the crew a new mission. Maybe they have to confront the Borg or a totally new threat---from beyond the Galaxy!
(C)Of course, with Time Travel, Captain Janeway could encounter JJ Abrams’ younger versions of Kirk and Spock, in either or both movies in (A) above—that would be worth seeing. Imagine an encounter between Spock and 70f9. You could write a screenplay based on THAT!
