I smell a cult classic. The slo-mo drug is an awesome excuse for glorified gratuitous violence. OH YEAH!

Honnestly, this trailer sucks for me. It seems freaking empty with no charisma at all. Don't get me wrong, the comics look looks good though but no, kind of boring to me.

Looks like an 'OK' movie.But it's not Dredd.Dredd always had a dark humour to it.It wasn't just violence.And the city doesn't look like The Big Meg either.Juries out on this one...

This looks mental! I think the beautiful use of slo-mo as a visual and narrative device is the thing I'm most looking forward to seeing on the big screen.

I'll admit, I've never seen the original and so I didn't have any intention on seeing this. After the trailer (and knowing Karl Urban/Bones/Eomer plays Dredd) I'm gonna give this a solid looking into

Never read a single book on Dredd allthough i am intrigued by Judge Death. I for one enjoyed the Sly version for what it was. For me i just love sci-fi so keep the genre coming in any way i can get it. This incarnation however just looks awsome in look and tone. Karl Urban also just makes anything that much better for having him in it.

@remindkevin- Lots of people are looking forward to it. It's been the lead feature in 2000 AD since 1977. Dredd's got a lot of fans.

Love Dredd, loved District 9. Urban looks the part & fair play to him not having the usual bullsh!t hollywood ego by insisting the helmet comes off so we have to see his face - this proves to me he knows what playing Dredd's all about.

I'm not sure what people were expecting as £45m is not a large budget for a special effects / sci-fi film.

Bring on the judgement!

This is out in September and movie goers will have all the summer movies fresh in their minds. If Dredd is shooting perps in narrow corridors for 1 hour 30 mins of screen time is this going to wow enough people? I can't see it. It needs a couple of amazing action scenes and not just for violence's sake. Any R rated film is violent so this has got to have something that makes it stand out. Could be it be the slo-mo? Perhaps. A decent plot will help too! :P
