Is Megan Fox a good actress?

I personally don't think she's a good actress. In her returning role in "Transformers 2" I thought her "sexuality" took over the whole thing. Her lines were pretty cheesy at times, and she became a one sided character. If I had a girlfriend like her, I might stay with her for a while, because she's hot, but she wouldn't be someone I'd take seriously. She just hasn't showed any potential for good acting. She's all about looks. That's what's making her famous. Just like in her new role in, "Jennifer's Body".


Notice that the poster says, From the Creators of "Juno." This movie isn't even in the same genre. So random.

I think this will tell you more about her acting skills, or lack there of, since she's the star of it. In Transformers she was just a side character with not much to do. But even if she sucks in Jennifer's Body, I'm still going to see it because she is hot lol.

I love to see her on screen but am I the only one who got sick of seeing her run in so motion in T2?!

She MIGHT have what it takes to be a good actress but she needs to show it. Allowing herself to be blatantly exploited like she was in T2 doesn't help her cause. It's one thing to "play to your strengths" or be "happy with your body" but that film just used and degraded her and she let it happen.

@neumn13 thank you for posting this. I agree with you. Megan Fox is just good looks (notice i said good looks not great or amazing) she really doesn't act well. Oh and by the way my wife loves this article. lol. :)

I'll put it this way, a paper bag would give her "acting skills" a run for the money. She is a hot chick, no denying that, but like many of you have said, every film she is in, they exploit her sex appeal to know end and "Jennifer's Body" looksno different. Same can be said for Jonah Hex.

FINALLY, 'Megan Fox' exposure has begun to reach over-saturation! She's the current 'flavor-of-the-month', nothing more. I've said from the beginning she's fun to look at, but THAT'S IT! The odds of her winning say an Academy Award for her acting ability are about the same as an ice cube's chance in hell! She is to acting what Miley Cyrus is to music - both just need to fade away (quickly)!

I'd say she isn't a "great actress" by any means. but she is at least passable. Sure she's not going to win an oscar or anything but she is fun to look at and over all isn't as terrible as people make her out to be. I'd say she's most certainly better than say...Linsay Lohan or any of the other similar "flavors of the Month" to get over exposed.

Flames - 'YES' I can act. As for singing, if you think Miley Cyrus can sing, you need to get your ears checked (I think you're going tone-deaf). Either that or you're too young to really appreciate good music....

I havent' seen anything to make me think 2ndly about her but we will see with time. For now she has looks.

What is she going to do when she gets older? Maybe she is just a scream queen and that's it. Maybe she will start getting more serious roles. That is usually what happens. Big action/Sci-fi/Fantasy to role to get your name out there,then betray the community that spawned your popularity and never do those films again. It is smart to do that, but not too nice. We'll see. She totally end up being a good actress. She does a good job crying.

Hard to say from the small-ish parts she's had. I mean, you can't blame her for the lack of depth in the writing of Transformers 2, or the cheesy lines - she didn't write or direct it. For what its worth I think she probably gave the director exactly what he asked for from her. He just . . . well, he didn't ask for much.

We'll see. She might be good when she grows up a bit.

Ok, I have some proof that Megan Fox will never ever be more than just a pretty face on the silver screen. Her acting is horrible, and if you don't believe me, check out the Simon Pegg movie "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People." It came out last year, was hilarious, yet Megan Fox's performance, as expected was horrible. She was just eye candy.

And if you don't know who Simon Pegg is, he was in such movies as "Shaun of the Dead", "Hot Fuzz", and "Run, Fat Boy, Run."

yeah, i saw the Simon Pegg movie. She WAS just eye candy. I think its kind of sad when you only play "sexy" roles. especially for a long period of time...shows no acting talent.
