POLL/DISCUSSION: What Did You Think Of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST?

POLL/DISCUSSION: What Did You Think Of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST? POLL/DISCUSSION: What Did You Think Of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST?

Bryan Singer's new X-flick has been running in most theaters since Thursday night, and although there's still a couple of days left in the Memorial Day weekend, we figured the majority of you die-hard CBMers would've been to see it by now. So, let us know what you thought of the movie after the jump.

Feature Opinion

As you can see from our regular box office updates, X-Men: Days Of Future Past is surpassing even the very high expectations set by analysts and is well on the way to being one of the most financially successful movies of the year so far. Of course that's not always an indication of quality, but it also holds a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes (there's been a slight drop over the past couple of days) which is pretty rare for a comic book movie. Of course, there are those who just won't get behind Fox's X-Men franchise because of its unfaithfulness to the comics on which it's based -- and it's a fair argument: these movies do take a lot of liberties. But did that effect your enjoyment of Days Of Future Past? Or was the film's quality enough to compensate? Do you care if the movies stick to comics? Do you even agree that this was a good film in the first place? Vote, and share your thoughts in the usual place.

I said very good in a numerical graph I would give it an 8-8.5. I really did like the film some issues I had mainly gripes and the ending unfortunately puts in stone who has plot armor. It just sucks because now you know what ever danger any of the characters we saw in the future are in nothing can really happen to them.

Am I the only one who was profoundly disappointed? The script was terrible.
First of all, way too many characters. We didn't need to see Blink, Sunspot, Toad or any of those mutants - all it did was keep a couple of cgi guys employed. Wolverine's character was so watered down, I felt sorry for Hugh Jackman, and Fassbender is clearly uncomfortable acting opposite a green screen. Speaking of which, Magneto's helmet looked like it was made of styrofoam. Talk about cheap.
Quicksilver: very cool sequence, but this kid is nothing like the Pietro Maximoff we know and love. The scene with the little sister in his lap - yes, that's supposed to be Wanda - but they backtracked on that because their continuity people didn't realize they were supposed to be twins. I was a stupid mistake. I know Marvel is going to give us a true representation.
The big highlight for me was James McAvoy's performance. This guy is a superb actor and does wonders with the lousy script. He is my Professor X and I find it really disturbing that he grows up to be boring old Patrick Stewart...

Although one thing that I would've liked to see was a little bit of the back story with the sentinels wiping out humanity and mutants. But they explained it well enough so that's not really a flaw, I just wanted to see it. Lol

I've seen people give very good reasons for having Frozen as their number one, Pasto so give that a damn rest already. And these are people whose lists actually consisted of some of 2013's best and most well made films. The reasoning some people have gave is based more an individual emotion and sentiment rather than looking at it objectively.
