From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.

Starring Scarlett Johannson, Morgan Freeman and Analeigh Tipton, Luc Besson's Lucy is set to be released on August 8th, 2014 July 25th, 2014.

Just show Scarlett Johansson and I'm there. She could make a Uwe Boll movie fantastic.
Tdi7457 - 6/12/2014, 2:11 PM
Behold, the limits of ScarJo's acting ability: the stare.
Shroombeast - 6/12/2014, 2:11 PM
Scarlet makes everything better, but only drugs could make a Uwe Boll movie fantastic.
Lots, and lots of drugs.

I just found out that this film will be released 3 month later here. FAQ That.
BigK1337 - 6/12/2014, 2:32 PM
I'm probably the only one thinking this, but this movie seems very similar to the anime Elfen Lied. Mostly because of the main characters of the respective works, especially the fact they are both named Lucy.

Either way, this movie will be interesting.
SpideyQuad - 6/12/2014, 2:38 PM
That is only because you're probably the only one watching the anime still!
SpideyQuad - 6/12/2014, 2:38 PM
I kid, I kid!
NovaCorpsFan - 6/12/2014, 2:39 PM
This film is actually based on a disproven scientific concept that we only use 10% of our brains. It's been scientifically proven that we wouldn't even be able to survive on 10% of our brains and there is no amount of the brain that isn't used and therefore no potential to be unlocked, but this film's main character undergoes exactly that. She unlocks the remaining 90% of her brain functions and that's total bullshit.
MakluIV - 6/12/2014, 2:40 PM
I wasn't expecting Snowpiercer to be good but it surprised me. So I'll definitely be checking Lucy out. :)
RexDartEskimoSpy - 6/12/2014, 2:42 PM
When will that brain myth go away? Putting on movie posters isn't helping.
Bl00dwerK - 6/12/2014, 2:48 PM
Where's my Black Widow movie, dammit?!
DaVinci31 - 6/12/2014, 2:52 PM
Scarlett Johansson is the only reason I clicked on this.
BuckyCap - 6/12/2014, 3:00 PM
@RexDartEskimoSpy

Maybe the truth is that Hollywood only uses 10% of their brains?

Right now I'm wearing FLO's groin like a hockey mask

"Behold, the limits of ScarJo's acting ability: the stare."

I disagree, but I gotta give points for creativity

JorL5150 - 6/12/2014, 3:31 PM
Dammit - gusto left all his dildos lying around and I damn near tripped down the stairs
NeoBaggins - 6/12/2014, 3:37 PM
The poster is a plot-hole. The trailer suggest she's beyond a single pimple at this stage and should not have one.

REDBOX... Maybe. If there is NOTHING else.
Karmatron - 6/12/2014, 4:04 PM
Scar Jo is one of the top actresses in Hollywood.

She acts better than Megan Fox and Jennifer Lopez.

No one can beat those acting levels.

This film is going to be more intense that The Prestige and Taxi Driver (together)
Karmatron - 6/12/2014, 4:08 PM
Scar Jo's stare acting hability rivals the stares of Zoolander and the girl from Twilight (yes the protagonist chick)

The scene were Lucy raises her hand and then all of the agents get knocked out oh my ... it is Oscar worthy alone for that
SuperCat - 6/12/2014, 4:15 PM
She's got Betty Davis' eye.
Karmatron - 6/12/2014, 4:20 PM
@SuperCat

yeah mate, I agree
Karmatron - 6/12/2014, 4:33 PM
@whysoserious

yeah!
I love those HUGE acting chops... they are so HUGE

(drolls over lap top)
GenerationX - 6/12/2014, 5:03 PM

CheerioSquirts - 6/12/2014, 5:11 PM
@NovaCorpsFan Who gives a flying F if it's possible or not, in fact what the hell is up with all the damn debate about it, it's a freaking movie, go have fun watching it, good lord.....
DrKinsolving - 6/12/2014, 5:13 PM
I hope this is good.
JackSass - 6/12/2014, 7:06 PM
What Novacropsfan is true. Neuroscience has long since put that idea to rest.

However I even back in the past when you would hear people use the anecdote I always thought that it would be an interesting basis for a movie.

There have been others who kind of went there a little. Like Powder. And Phenomenon.

But in this Scarjo gets godlike powers... for novelties sake alone this might be worth a look.
Orehrepus - 6/12/2014, 7:37 PM
ScarJo is sizzling hot. Period.
batz11 - 6/12/2014, 7:44 PM
LMAO @SC, you know about 2% of the peeps on here would know Betty Davis, much less Betty Davis' Eyes, or Kim Carne's song "Betty Davis' Eyes" haha

Damn, that was a pretty good song back then...LOL
loki668 - 6/13/2014, 12:05 AM
@batz and SuperCat

As soon as the damn song was mentioned, I couldn't get it out of my head! Thanks for that!! I forgot how raspy Carne's voice was! What's next, "Kids In America" by Kim Wilde?
