Desrow - 6/24/2014, 6:13 AM
Last one it's just amazing.
SonofBatman - 6/24/2014, 6:16 AM
Great artwork!
Nomis - 6/24/2014, 6:19 AM
Now that's some nice Artwork!
Alfredo27 - 6/24/2014, 6:20 AM
Ahhh Marvel you could kill all the X-men you want but Fox has won the CBM war the last 2 years.
sicknimon - 6/24/2014, 6:20 AM
Awesome artwork, AND most importantly? At least a few month break from the character before they bring him back with his healing factor!!! Party time!
sicknimon - 6/24/2014, 6:21 AM
@Alfredo27 it has?
sicknimon - 6/24/2014, 6:23 AM
People have this crazy rumor spreading that Marvel cancels and kills characters that have movies coming out with opposing studios. The funny thing is Marvel has a long standing history of canceling titles when the movie is in development. They did it with GOTG.
MercwithMouth - 6/24/2014, 6:23 AM
Great artwork.
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 6/24/2014, 6:25 AM
Love all of them. Like the 2nd one the best.
KrazyForKomix - 6/24/2014, 6:25 AM
Nice covers.
He's dead - how sad.
But let's get to the reincarnation part all ready!
Alfredo27 - 6/24/2014, 6:29 AM
Yeah Sicknimon do you think Ironman 3/ Thor 2 (two of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life) were better than The Wolverine.

DOFP high reviews than Cap 2 despite this sites under 23 year olders prefering a movie with all action and no depth other than who will Cap take on a date?
TheDpool - 6/24/2014, 6:32 AM
As nice as those covers are I'm finding it hard to take this too seriously obviously these days death isn't as big a factor in Marvel comics but Wolverine of all characters being killed off yes I see the reason as it'll bring in readers but he also holds a lot of readers so Marvel could suffer from this
StarkAnthony - 6/24/2014, 6:36 AM
He'll be back by the beginning of next year
StarYeezus - 6/24/2014, 6:38 AM
Death is liking what she sees in that last one.
Fun1gUy - 6/24/2014, 6:40 AM
i dig the last cover
Gusto - 6/24/2014, 6:46 AM
I'm a pretty decent artist myself...

StarYeezus - 6/24/2014, 6:47 AM
@Alfredo27

You use RT for your argument that DoFP is better than Cap 2, yet IM3 (one of the "worst movies" you've ever seen) is higher than The Wolverine.

Also, if Marvel was trying to lessen Wolverine's popularity, why are developing a new cartoon for him.

Try harder next time.
MercwithMouth - 6/24/2014, 6:48 AM
@Alfredo

Iron Man 3 is the best of the trilogy, and Thor 2 was a lot of fun. Neither are better than the Wolverine or DOFP. Still haven't seen Cap2 though...
Doopie - 6/24/2014, 7:03 AM
I'm not gonna say IM3 or Thor2 are the best movies ever but they are nowhere near the worst. If it's true what you say then you either haven't seen that many films or you've only watched excellent ones
InfiniteMonkey - 6/24/2014, 7:04 AM
Kill Him and Kill him but good.

I hope he stays dead for 10 years.
Let the X-Men have the spotlight.
TelaVizion - 6/24/2014, 7:06 AM
Wow to issue #4 cover. I bet Death will bring him back even stronger. It was interesting how she referred to him still being a baby even though he felt himself to be old and ancient.
TheBrotherhood - 6/24/2014, 7:11 AM
@Alfredo27

'FOREVER ALONE'
Alfredo27 - 6/24/2014, 7:17 AM
Ok users who joined in 2012-13

Thor 2 is unwatchable crap if you like it I have a negative view of everything you like in life. A boring villain with no good motives or motivation that is generic and boring as possible. The worst humor imaginable. 30 minutes of needless scenes focusing on Jane and her retarded friends. Its garbage.

Ironman 3, Im not even going to go into, just go back and look at the reaction on this site and tell me its not 75-80% negative if not higher.

While im not claiming The Wolverine is the greatest thing ever (it has flaws especially the ending) it is infintely more rewatchable than Thor 2 or Ironman 3.

My main basis for this opinion is that my wife, nephews, nieces, friends who are not CB fans like the Wolverine and have rewatched it. My wife liked Thor 1 but was begging me to walk out of Thor 2 in the theater it was that bad.
Alfredo27 - 6/24/2014, 7:23 AM
I meant worst CBM not worst overall movie. I think F4 Rise of Silver Surfer is the worst, followed by Thor 2 and Ironman 3 somewhere close. Wolverine Origins is down there also but atleast the fight scene after Sabertooth "kills" silverfox is better than anything in Thor 2 or Ironman 3. I will say Ironman 3 is probably tied with X3 as the 3rd or 4th worst. You can throw Green Latern in right after Thor 2.

To be fair I havent seen ASM1 or 2. So maybe those are worse.

Im not including anything prior to 1998s so dont try and bring up some old Batman or original cap america.
JoeMomma29 - 6/24/2014, 7:24 AM
@ Alfredo

LOL! You will be labeled a blasphemer which such talk on this site. Do you not know that Marvel Studios can do no wrong.......but to be serious I agree with you on IM3. As far as Thor 2, well it we meh, to me it was not great nor bad just right in the middle. To me the only cbms that really stand out as excellent are the following....

1. Batman (Tim Burton)

2. Batman Begins

3. The Dark Knight

4. Spiderman 2

5. Ironman

6. Blade 2

7. MOS

8. Wolverine

9. X Men DOFP

10. Avengers
JoeMomma29 - 6/24/2014, 7:26 AM
OH yeah I would throw in the HULK movie, to me that movie was great and it is highly under rated.
2gold - 6/24/2014, 7:30 AM
Marvel has changed the future of their own future so much I don't think they remember which future is the future of futures and the present ties into which future set to which past. So I don't buy for a moment Wolverine won't be back and part of the future. Dude is just getting a much needed vacation is all.

Alfredo27 - 6/24/2014, 7:31 AM
I agree with that list just maybe not in that order.
MercwithMouth - 6/24/2014, 7:41 AM
@Alfredo

You have too much negativity. And you definitely haven't seen Catwoman or Elektra...since they're missing on your 'terrible CBM' list. I will outright laugh at lumping Thor2 and Iron Man3 in with Green Lantern and ROTSS...that's ludicrous.

But to each their own...and The Wolverine is [frick]ing fantastic. Still not sure if DOFP is better...it's a tough one.
sameoldthing - 6/24/2014, 7:48 AM
@Joe
Not a bad list,I would shift that order some & I would have to have Cap 2 & the first Blade film.

If I think about it,Blade in the films is the best combatant in any CBM.
He would wipe the floor with Batman & Wolverine. Logan recovers quick but so can Blade.
Cap could hang for a bit but Blades vampire strength & speed is better than Caps & Blade is just plain a better martial artist.

Blade would beat Spidey's ass too,he's a brutal fighter & movie Parker isn't game for that battle.
Yes,Hulk-Thor-Iron Man-Superman have superior powers going toe to toe but I'm talking straight up fighting prowess.
Blade is the best.
Doopie - 6/24/2014, 7:49 AM
Shit Alfredo, didn't realise you joined in 2009...you must be right in that case.

IM3 and Thor2 aren't the best no but they trump all the films you mention along with both Ghost Rider films, Catwoman, Jonah Hex, LXG...the list goes on
hipnosis - 6/24/2014, 7:51 AM
They will wait, what, 3-4 months, just till all the third and fourth printings of the book sell out, and they'll release foil covers and special hologram limited editions for like $20 cover price, and inflate their value saying they are work $100 street price.....and then, once they've made a hundred million, they will bring him back with special foil covers and hologram limited editions and have 20 different cover versions for the collector who likes it in the butt.....and make another 100 million. Marvel has been doing this scam for so many years. I remember working in a comic store and people buying up all those different covers variants and then them being upset a few months later when they realized how worthless the books were because they overprinted and saturated the market and over-valued them. I get tired of the scams from Marvel. I'd rather they just concentrate on making good books and not on reboots and scams. DC too in the boat. We want more quality, less quantity.
JoeMomma29 - 6/24/2014, 7:51 AM
@ SameOldThing

Yeah thanks I forgot to put Cap 2 because that movie was great and top notch.
Demiurge - 6/24/2014, 7:52 AM
Damn, it's really happening. They're really killing off Wolverine.
I know it won't last long... Nonetheless, I feel like crying :'(
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/24/2014, 7:59 AM
All three covers look good but the first and third are the best.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/24/2014, 8:02 AM
It's time for wolverine to take a break. Marvel couldn't decide to make him a savage or a teacher. Stripped him of all his mystery. Time to rest bub.
XF14 - 6/24/2014, 8:07 AM
Gorgeous art. Instead of killing him, they shouldve just stopped making him appear in like 8 books or whatever it is. Too much 'change for the sake of change.' Marvel doesnt give anything time to obtain status quo anymore.
Alfredo27 - 6/24/2014, 8:08 AM
Ok Ghostrider is a notch lower than Thor 2 for me sorry I left that out, Never saw part 2 so it could well be worse. Jonah Hex to me is better than Thor 2 but worse than Ironman 3, I could rewatch Jonah Hex atleast once I dont think I could ever watch Thor 2 again . Catwoman never saw so I cant comment.

Alfredo27 - 6/24/2014, 8:11 AM
As long as they dont have him have a Blonde son who takes over for him Im all good. FRUCK The Ultimate Xmen
