The below snap also features our first looks at another couple of characters: Khylin Rhambo as Dink Meeker and Moises Arias as Bonzo Madrid.

In the near future, a hostile alien race (called the Formics) have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander, Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young children to find the future Mazer. Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy, but strategically brilliant boy is pulled out of his school to join the elite.

Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult war games, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military’s next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he’s trained by Mazer Rackham, himself, to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

Ender's Game stars Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Sir Ben Kingsley, Hailee Steinfeld, Viola Davis and Abigail Breslin, and will open in theaters November 1st.

TheDude - 2/20/2013, 9:51 AM
@santoanderson - Don't remind me! I want this to be good so bad!
spanky87 - 2/20/2013, 10:04 AM
Not sure if I'll even download it

@Gusto The next time I have pet...It will be a rabbit/bunny.
Shamo - 2/20/2013, 10:26 AM
@tricore, because i like movies. also, would pirating not be as counter productive as boycotting?
RorMachine - 2/20/2013, 10:38 AM
Anyone go see a new Roman Polanski movie? He's a raping pedophile.
Whovian - 2/20/2013, 10:38 AM
I am so thrilled this film is coming. Big fan of this story, big fan of Orson Scott Card.
MDHENDRICKS - 2/20/2013, 11:02 AM
Yes TriCoreBase because somebody who has different values and beliefs than you is just as bad as a pedophile. You are a grade A moron.
SimonPhoenix - 2/20/2013, 11:05 AM
TriCore needs to get his facts straight. Truth.
GetsugaTensho22 - 2/20/2013, 11:07 AM
Wow TriCoreBase, you're now the authority to decide who lives and who dies? You're starting to think EXACTLY like the kind of people you profess to hate.
Seriously, just rephrase what you said into " The world would be better off if the likes of Ellen DeGeneres and Anderson Cooper were taken outside and shot. We Don't need people like them in society", and you'd have your own worst enemy.
Shamo - 2/20/2013, 11:46 AM
@Tricore, nope. no i would not. would i pay money to see a pedo's movie? no, but i would pirate it if it turned out to be good.

and lol @ taken outside and shot. honestly though, it would be no skin off my nuts. ain't like they paying any of my bills.
RorMachine - 2/20/2013, 11:55 AM
TriCoreBase, I don't disagree that the world would be a better place without people like that, but taking them out and shooting them isn't the answer. They would just be replaced ..prob by someone worse. I kinda fall down on the MLK side of that argument..seek to change someone's way of thinking, not beat yours into them.
TheDude - 2/20/2013, 12:16 PM
It's also possible to hate someone on a cellular level and still respect or even like the work they create.
Battabing - 2/20/2013, 12:36 PM
So, no boycott of Lionsgate, then?

F.ucking hypocrites.
papasnoopy - 2/20/2013, 12:47 PM
@tricore... you are deluded if you think rounding up "others" for extermination is going to eliminate bigotry. Have you forgotten? Hitler tried eliminating the source of Judeo-Christian ethics, thanks to demonic pushing by philosophers like Nietzsche and others. Three of my great uncles died fighting for Hitler, two on the Russian front and two on the Italian, and my mother is still fighting to suppress years of Aryan brainwashing. MLK got it right, the answer is Jesus. It is compassion, love, charity and a heart bowed before the Creator. You have your demons, I have mine, but let Jehovah God be judge, not us.
Shamo - 2/20/2013, 1:11 PM
i say we kill all the humans. when was the last time you saw a Dog or a Baboon start a war?

food for thought.
RorMachine - 2/20/2013, 1:53 PM
Can we drop the rhetoric? What you actually mean by "don't agree with"/"differing beliefs"/"different viewpoint", etc, is "hatred of gay people".

I agree with this part. People talk about this boiling down to "different opinions" like we're talking about which is better between Marvel and DC..we are not. There are children killing themselves because they are so afraid of their sexuality, and scum like Card getting on his soapbox and preaching out against them is only driving that fear. Of course we are all entitled to believe what we wish (not that we all have to like it) but when we actively seek to take rights away from others, or incite hatred, that's a different story.
GetsugaTensho22 - 2/20/2013, 2:51 PM
^^ Stapping him into the chair now eh?
My question is, where does it stop with you?
Today it's guys like Card. Tomorrow, it'll be people fighting Illegal Immigration. Who knows, the day after it might be people you think laugh too loud!
You're a [frick]ing fascist. That kind of thinking ALWAYS leads to a bad end, no matter how noble you think your intentions are.
Shamo - 2/20/2013, 3:18 PM
strap those people in fighting illegal immigration to. you ignorant ammericans act like you weren't illegal immagrants yourselves. killing off the natives doesn't make the land yours you savages.
0bstreperous - 2/20/2013, 3:52 PM
@ tricore I really hope your being facetious about homopreschool education

That is sexual abuse and the fact that your saying to go beyond their parents teachings...

Your obsession with indoctrinating the kids with your morals is pedophile

arashini - 2/20/2013, 8:43 PM
Everyone seems to be pretty angry about stuff today.

Business as usual.
0bstreperous - 2/20/2013, 8:48 PM
@ rormachine

''Rhetoric'' is not synonymous with hatred

I'm not into the whole Jesus hates fags thing but I do not believe that homosexuality is moral by default

I vehemently disagree with tricore about indoctrinating children that is abhorrent
0bstreperous - 2/21/2013, 2:13 AM
@ tri-core
There's a little truth to every joke I know your being sarcastic

But the fact that you do not believe this is a discussion of two beliefs is (wait for it) ignorant

There are no genes no intelligent design behind homosexuality you make a choice to engage in activities some consider a perversion of the purpose of sex and then won't even acknowledge that you made a choice

That is most disturbing if you believe theres nothing wrong with it why can't you admit its your choice?

Because that makes you look like a crazy perv who doesn't two men can't have a baby?
0bstreperous - 2/21/2013, 2:15 AM
*know

Just joking and making light of your morals like you seem to enjoy doing
geronimo16200 - 2/21/2013, 2:48 AM
@Shamo preach brother lol, u just made a full blood native laugh. it's always annoyed me when people complain about immigrants. tends to make me ask "uh how did ur ancestors get here? cuz mine have been here for thousands of years" people tend to forget that this country was founded on the genocide of my people because they decided this land was theirs regardless of the fact that people were already here. so people need to get off their high horse with this whole immigration crap

let's get back to arguing about comic books and CBMs now please
RorMachine - 2/21/2013, 2:57 AM
Hey 0bstreperous, why shorten your original post? That's right I saw it last night and didn't reply because I'm duty bound to keep things civil on here now and that just wouldn't have happened had I replied to your abhorrent ramblings.

But back to the issue, why delete your original post? "If you have to hide something it's because you know it's wrong"...right?
0bstreperous - 2/21/2013, 6:58 AM
@ ror it my ramblings were not abhorrent and not directed at you

you did however say it was not a moral discussion and that people can't have a difference of opinions on this f all issues

i disagree and no one was gonna read the long rambling
but still you should have replied if it was so important
0bstreperous - 2/21/2013, 7:01 AM
@ TRICORE you win your crazy

i thought you were joking but your insane goodnight
HIchigo - 2/21/2013, 8:25 AM
Okay this is to end the argument, but I suspect it will only fuel it.

I have studied neurobiology, behavioral neurosciences, and have read up on homosexual behaviors for my previous course of graduate neuroanatomy where I wrote a paper on the anatomical difference in brain structures that could affect homosexuality.

@TriCore: fMRI studies show that the norm is for men to be attracted to women and vice versa. This is shown in numerous papers from many scientific journals. It is well researched and well documented that men love women. It is in our biological imperative to love women to reproduce and populate the planet with our offspring (as it is with every species); hence why we have attraction centers (see sexually dimorphic nucleus). It will never be the norm or the majority for men to love men. That is just a falsehood which would doom our existence.

If you're gay go for it. I'm all for you getting married and being happy. I do think the the future holds for us a cure to homosexuality like it does with many others neurophysiological/neuroendocrine differences. I'm not saying its moral, amoral, or starting an argument, but I o believe that parents will be given the option of treating decreased androgen levels (or inhibiting levels) that affect the size of the sexually dimorphic nucleus.

*NOTE: this is just science, and I don't really care if you get mad at me. It is not science that homosexuality is in our genes! You were"born that way" which is fine, but most likely has a explanation which many people are currently working on.
HIchigo - 2/21/2013, 8:28 AM
In other news. YAY! Enders Game... Probably my favorite book. I pray they don't butcher it!!!
HIchigo - 2/21/2013, 8:47 AM
In fact I'm not a bigot , have many homosexual friends who I openly discuss this exact topic with. If 90-95% of the human race became homosexual our race would die out due to the rapid decrease in progeny. Technology can only go so far, it's like saying formula= breast milk. It's not. It's not evolution, I promise you. It's been around for the entirety of human existence.

Like I said previously I'm not commenting on the morality of a cure, but I assure you one will be here; probably sooner them we all think.

Please don't ever call me a bigot. I'm speaking from science not raw emotion as you are. It is inappropriate and amoral to throw such slander around.
HIchigo - 2/21/2013, 8:52 AM
There is no reason to bully TriCore. This guy just needs a little education on these subjects which can be given without belittling him
IMNOTU - 2/21/2013, 9:45 AM
Is this site still about comic book movies, or is it just a place that TriCoreBase can call everyone who doesn't agree with him a bigot?
RorMachine - 2/21/2013, 10:01 AM
I dunno. Some people really do make me despair at the state of the world in this day and age. Then again, I guess it's not always their fault when so many people seem to have been raised by this woman..
