Fans remain fascinated with and very curious about the now infamous Superman movie that might have been from Tim Burton, starring Nicolas Cage as the Man Of Steel himself. We've seen various pieces of concept art and know a little about the script from Kevin Smith, but we have yet to hear Cage weigh in on Superman Lives. Now while chatting to MTV the actor does just that. "The fact that Tim and I were pretty far down the road designing ["Superman Lives"], and I know that with Tim and where I was going to go, we would have done something really special," says Cage. "At least it's out there in the ether that that could have happened, but we don't have to make the movie. It's still interesting to people." Thanks to a very successful Kickstarter campaign to to fund a documentary called The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?, we will most likely get to find out quite a bit more about what went wrong on the production. Either way, whether her got to play Superman or not, Cage remains a huge fan of the character. "I do think that I had the win-win situation, because that character is such a bullseye that you have to hit. He's one of the most precious icons of our country."
