The news that Neil Gaiman is bringing his Spawn creation over to the Marvel Universe must have delighted cosplayer Kearstin Fay Nicholson, who won The Superhero Costuming Forum‘s 2012 Most Epic Female Costume Contest for her excellent take on the Angelic mercenary..

What is the blade made of? I can see the thickness of it but the distance makes it hard to see the material.

personally, I'm (and by "I", I mean my fiancée) a fan of insulation foam sheets myself with copious amounts of joint compound.

You have good style Kearstin! Angela= 1 of my favorite characters. A lot of that's due to Neil and I'm so glad to hear he has the rights to her back... I hope he can write some stuff for them soon (after he finishes the Sandman prequel, of course ^_^)

Pox - The blade itself is just a piece of plywood, but I was thinking of redoing it with a PVC sheet or something. The staff of it is a combo of wood and PVC pipes and foam! :)

Really impressed, Kearstin. It will be nice seeing more of your Cosplay. THIS shows a lot of thought went into the presentation, and not just a costume thrown on.

@worldbreaker - It wasn't a garage actually, it was the set of Walking Dead from the first season ;)
