COMICS: Silver Surfer To Guest Star In DAREDEVIL #30

Marvel have just revealed our first look at the cover to Mark Waid's Daredevil #30, and it features The Man Without Fear about to throw down (I don't fancy your chances Matt!) with The Sentinel Of The Spaceways, the Silver Surfer.

Silver Surfer is expected to play a part in Marvel's upcoming Infinity crossover event, but what he's doing paying Daredevil a visit is anyone's guess. We'll update as soon as more info becomes available.

@ nomis

seeing that cover reminds me of the act of vengeance crossover when daredevil took on ultron, classic storylines.

at a time when i could actually tolerate john romita jr artwork,oh & his uncanny x-men run.

Kinda like the sun vs. a hairdryer in a "which gives off the most heat?" contest... but, okay.

What an odd match-up. Man, Chris Samnee is a great artist. I'm surprised some of you don't like it. Can't wait!

This and Hawkeye are Marvel's two best ongoings right now; they just keep getting better and better.

@ blackandyellow - heh-heh. Yeah. It does.

Still a gorgeous cover.

@ Marvel72 - That SS Vol.3, DeMatteis and Garney. If I recall, this was either just before Garney worked on Captain America w/Waid...or maybe just after. Either way, it was a great run. I think -- not sure -- Fabian Nicieza might've been on the book before DeMatteis, but it's some of the latter's best writing. And Garney's artwork was gorgeous. It was undersold and those issues were hard to find, as I'd discovered the run just as it was coming to an end.
