I thought Rourke was literally the only good thing about the first one. His character had SOME depth to him, and was interesting. The rest were a bunch of macho, cheesy cardboard cutouts.

Plus I know he already said he wouldnt do it, but I'd love to see Clint Eastwood show up as Bruce Willis CIA characters boss and tell him to shut his [frick]ing face while holding a 44 to it.

Best of luck to these guys. I did enjoy The Expendables and The Expendables 2 (although, the first one was better than the second one, not to say that the second one was horrible. It was still enjoyable). And to add ing Mr. Chan and Snipes for the third one? HELL YEAH!!!! Now, PLEASE add in Harrison Ford, bring back Jet Li, would love to see the Rock in this, [frick]ing Carl Weathers in this one, and bring back Arnie so both him and Weathers could recreate this awesome scene...

the director's cut of ex 1 is splendid, but i didnt understand shit about intro monologue. the idontknowwhat of the night and somethin, what was that all about?
and i loved more ex2, is exactly what the first one should had been, hilarious. not even trying to pretend to be serious like the first one. not that i didnt like rourke's role though, it was incredible

Micky Rourke was one of the best things about expendables? I must have missed that. Looking forward to Wesleys return. But the last expendables was mediocre to me.

Director's cut of Ex 1 was way better than the theatrical version. These are by no means perfect movIes but they're definitely enjoyable.

I too have not seen either of these movies because i do not miss Commando, Lethal Weapon, Tango and Cash, Above the Law, Red Heat, or any of the other glossy over the top cheeseball action flix. I just made the huge mistake of renting The Last Stand with Arnold and what a crapfest that was......more Dredd please.
