The iconic comic writer and artist has finished the first draft of his "300" sequel graphic novel...
We reported a while back that Zack Snyder was interested in directing a sequel to the box office smashing "300" as soon as Frank Miller finsihed writing it. Well, he's done...at least with the first draft.
The Risky Biz Blog now reports that Miller has "recently completed a draft" of the graphic novel. It says that no screenwriter and no director has officially signed on, not even Zack Snyder. He has never said he was certain to return to direct a sequel, only that he wanted to. But I can't imagine his not having some part in it since "300" was his big break.
They don't add much more into the mix beyond that it's presenting a tough challenge for Warner Bros. "While Miller is still tweaking his version, the ball will soon rest in the court of studio, financing entity, and producers to determine how easily, if at all, they can translate the story to the big screen."
As reported previously, this sequel would take place between the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of Plataea (seen at the very end of 300). If that is how it will play out, its a fair bet none of the original cast will be back except possibly Davin Wenham and Lena Headey...because the rest are brown bread!
