We know Hugh Jackman will play the villainous Blackbeard, but now Deadline report that Warner Bros. and director Joe Wright may have found their "Hook". It seems Garrett Hedlund has been offered the role, although the site make no indication as to whether he's accepted or not. They also mention that Boardwalk Empire‘s Jack Huston and The Perks Of Being A Wallflower's Ezra Miller were also being considered. The script was written by Jason Fuchs and will be produced by Greg Berlanti. We recently found out that Pan took Man Of Steel 2's original release date of July 17, 2015.

JorL5150 - 1/23/2014, 7:55 AM
this is MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH
better than a flash or superman or green lantern or worlds finest or suicide squad or doom patrol or batman movie.
typicalfanboy - 1/23/2014, 7:56 AM
@alexanderlykins- it's not a comicbook movie site anymore. Hasn't been for quite some time now. This person is using the fact that it took batman vs supermans release date as a way to make it relevant to the site.
DrDoom - 1/23/2014, 8:00 AM
Do we really need a 9001st Peter Pan movie?
RorMachine - 1/23/2014, 8:00 AM
That..and there are Peter Pan comics yes.

Anyway, WB don't JUST make DC comic book movies guys..it's not like Marvel Studios. Are you going to complain whenever Warner Bros release a fantasy/sci-fi movie that doesn't have a superhero in it?
wcwpoet - 1/23/2014, 8:00 AM
Jack Huston needs to be in more stuff!
RorMachine - 1/23/2014, 8:07 AM
Ok, carry on then

"Are you guys going to complain whenever..."? Are you new here or what?
typicalfanboy - 1/23/2014, 8:15 AM
This is a site called comicbookmovie.com, yet you, rormachine, continue to post random non comic related movie or celebrity news. I'm waiting for your bieber DUI article now.
jj72 - 1/23/2014, 8:25 AM
Um, ya WB. Everyone has been clamoring for another Peter Pan movie. This is being shoved down our throat in order to fill the gap by moving Superman vs Batman back 10 months.
SuperCat - 1/23/2014, 8:35 AM
Sh@t. We've had enough Peter Pan movies.

THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 1/23/2014, 8:43 AM
Is this movie seriously called "Pan?" LMAO wow ever since Dark Knight, WB thinks its cool to not call the characters by their name.
jlabatman - 1/23/2014, 8:44 AM

Gotta admire Yoss, that [frick]er doesn't care what he looks like, especially in crowded public areas!
jimoakley666 - 1/23/2014, 8:54 AM
Yeah, no.
RorMachine - 1/23/2014, 10:00 AM
crashrendar, maybe you're new around here so I won't just fob you off with a smartass reply, I'll fill you in on how we operate...and always have.

We've never ONLY posted news on movies that were adapted from comic books. If something has a comic tie in, or spawned comics after the fact, or even sometimes if it's a sci-fi/fantasy/action movie with some kind of CBM ties (actor/director etc) that we think will be of interest, we'll post. In this case there have been NUMEROUS comic book adaptations featuring the characters from Peter Pan - from children's comics spun off from the animated movie to the likes of Vertigo's Fables.

Happy?
DeadpoolMikeyXD - 1/23/2014, 10:14 AM
Another excellent decision from the boys over at WB... Please tell me this isn't the reason you are pushing back Supes vs Bats??? Have you lost your minds?!!?!? Meanwhile, by the time Supes vs Bats comes out, Marvel will be into Phase 3, have more TV shows out and hopefully better animated releases...

"Peter Pan, now that's what the people want to see!!! We can just push Superman vs Batman back a year. No one will care..." -WB executives

I'm a Marvel guy and this is no longer funny. I want to see a Superman/Batman movie and DC start doing better for the future of comic book movies.
ralfinader - 1/23/2014, 10:14 AM
This is exciting news, if I was a ten year old girl.
SuperCat - 1/23/2014, 10:14 AM
Don't f@ck with Ror! :)
DrDoom - 1/23/2014, 10:20 AM
Pan is going to get Panned.
Andree24 - 1/23/2014, 10:28 AM
Marvel has Captain America: The First Avenger
DC has Peter Pan: The First Justice League"er"

Nomis1800 - 1/23/2014, 11:16 AM
I'd like Hedlund to play Hal Jordan
TheRationalNerd - 1/23/2014, 11:28 AM
Bring on TRON3!!!!
SuperCat - 1/23/2014, 12:06 PM
LOL! @ gusto
TheSoulEater - 1/23/2014, 1:02 PM
Hedlund for FLASH the movie
BIGBMH - 1/23/2014, 2:06 PM
So the lead role of this movie is Captain Hook and they're calling it "Pan" and the lead role of Spielberg's 1991 movie was Peter Pan and they called it "Hook."

Can anyone explain this logic?
