We know there's a Venom movie on the cards, and a Sinister Six flick too -- so with those spin-offs and more planned, it's not to much of a stretch to think we'll eventually see Carnage on the big screen. The latest Daily Bugle viral piece proves he exists in Amazing Spider-Man continuity at the very least

KILLER KASADY CAUGHT By Eddie Brock.

The greater New York tri-state area got a whole lot safer yesterday. Captured late last night, Cletus Kasady, escaped serial killer and notorious redhead, was eerily calm and subdued when he eagerly surrendered to the FBI. The manhunt for the FBI’s Most Wanted felon ended innocuously in a small strip mall outside of New Rochelle, New York.

A barista at a local coffee shop recognized Kasady and eventually called the police. The barista apologized to reporters later admitting she didn’t immediately alert authorities hoping Spider-Man would beat them to the scene. “What can I say? I am a HUGE fan.”

Kasady had been sentenced to twelve life sentences for the twelve murders he committed — but escaped while being transported between federal prisons. Sources say Kasady has been remanded to Ravencroft Institute for further interrogation until he is relocated to a maximum security federal prison. While the barista didn’t get her wish, we know Spider-Man thanks her… as we all do. For now it appears that Kasady won’t be causing any more carnage.

How would you like to see Kasady/Carnage introduced into these movies? In a future installment of The Amazing Spider-Man? Or as a foil for Venom in his solo outing perhaps? Sound off in the usual place.

MrMartinMarvel - 4/9/2014, 5:42 PM
If only this had any bearing on the actual movie.
CaptainObvious - 4/9/2014, 5:45 PM
Another reason not to live in a comic book world: Prison security sucks.
Comedian03 - 4/9/2014, 5:47 PM
Calm & eager?
Don't those words contradict each other a little bit lol
sKeemAn - 4/9/2014, 5:55 PM
The venom movie should be of his offspring.

superherofan21 - 4/9/2014, 5:55 PM
Yeah, I'm pretty sure all of these viral marketing articles have to do with the video game.
Mrcool210 - 4/9/2014, 5:58 PM

ThePowerCosmic - 4/9/2014, 6:10 PM
Venom vs. Carnage...Do it Sony!!!
Pending - 4/9/2014, 6:11 PM
Even as a little kid I always thought Carnage was lame. He needed to stay in 90's.
ComicsBornAndBred - 4/9/2014, 6:17 PM
A spider man film with carnage could be very dark and almost horror like.
Irvin88 - 4/9/2014, 6:21 PM
Carnage has never been seen in a film before so this is really exciting. Would love to see Spider-Man, venom and carnage all in the same film/scene
thalidomide - 4/9/2014, 6:22 PM
I hope he's played by Topher Grace.
Desrow - 4/9/2014, 6:23 PM
@ComicsBornAndBred

That would very refreshing, first action-horror cmb... well since since Blade, it would be awesome... but I doubt it gonna happen.
InfiniteMonkey - 4/9/2014, 6:28 PM
Haven't they beat the living shit out of this story already?

Lame. We need new villains. Make up new ones.
maninfinesuit - 4/9/2014, 6:29 PM
Carnage is lame. The Joker with a symbiote.
ThrotTheUnclean - 4/9/2014, 6:39 PM
They will tease anything possible to get people interested in this shit film franchise.
JoJo1982 - 4/9/2014, 6:41 PM
@infinitemonkey

Why do we need make up villains

When spidey has hundreds of villains from the comics

Matter a fact spidey has the most villains out of all the marvel characters

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3: MAXIMUM CARNAGE (2016)

SYMBIOTE: THE VENOM SAGA (2018)

GL - 4/9/2014, 6:48 PM
You guys really think Carnage is lame? LOL. You obviously haven't read the right material. That '90's cartoon didn't do him justice.
MrCBM56 - 4/9/2014, 6:48 PM
OMG YES!!!!!! Carnage is my favorite Spidey villain, bring it!
MrCBM56 - 4/9/2014, 6:49 PM
Sorry guys, but Carnage->Venom
ATrueHero1987 - 4/9/2014, 6:55 PM
I been meaning to get Maximum Carnage in tpb for the longest. I liked that storyline(and the game) when I was young.
HulkSMASH0000 - 4/9/2014, 6:57 PM
I was hoping we'd see Gwen die and then come back as carnage. Could you imagine in the middle of a fight scene between Spidey and carnage and then carnage's reveals her face to be Gwen Stacy....epic! Lol plus Emma could kill the part
GenerationX - 4/9/2014, 6:59 PM
what is the link to all these viral things???
knocturnal - 4/9/2014, 6:59 PM
Give me a R rated spidey movie with venom and carnage! Wishful thinking
superbatspiderman - 4/9/2014, 7:09 PM
I have always thought that Carnage was a terrifying villain. He might be Spider-Man's scariest villain. He is a serial killer that gets super powers. It is almost like if the Joker suddenly got super powers.
OneBadDay - 4/9/2014, 7:11 PM
This story isn't on the official Tumblr? This may be fake guys...
OneBadDay - 4/9/2014, 7:13 PM
Wait nevermind, Ror posted it. Did it get taken down?
dio - 4/9/2014, 7:21 PM
"notorious redhead", really?
dio - 4/9/2014, 7:22 PM
That barista is so gonna get it.
thewolfx - 4/9/2014, 7:23 PM
This movie got a 6.9 from ign

[frick] marc webb

Anyways carnage is spidermans most lethal villian

To bring him onscreen you a r rating to do him proper
bropous - 4/9/2014, 7:24 PM
This would be pretty cool, but Jim Carrey should NEVER be allowed near a comic book movie EVER again.
bropous - 4/9/2014, 7:26 PM
Guys, I think it is pretty safe to say that NO studio will be taking a chance on an R-rated comic book movie anytime soon.

Too big a risk.
thewolfx - 4/9/2014, 7:27 PM
@Maninfinehat

Yeah go do some research on carnage before you sound like a complete asshat -_-
nova480s - 4/9/2014, 7:29 PM
Lol trusting an IGN movie review
thewolfx - 4/9/2014, 7:34 PM
@Bropous

While i do agree no studio whos looking to make a boxoffice smash wont make a r rated superheromovie

I disagree with the jim carrey comment he was pretty awesome in kickass 2

But i don't want him for carnage
OneBadDay - 4/9/2014, 7:45 PM
Jim Carrey is campy crazy, not scary crazy. I wouldn't want him for Carnage.
Optimus83 - 4/9/2014, 7:57 PM
Cool. ...Venom & Carnage
MightyZeus - 4/9/2014, 8:38 PM
Not a fan of this viral marketing.

I do hope when Venom and Eddie Brock is introduced that it would be better than the Eddie Brock and Venom in Spider-man 3, seriously what a waste of a character and one of Spider-man's greatest foes.

I'm also looking forward to see Carnage in the TASM franchise.
Mercwitham0uth - 4/9/2014, 8:47 PM
@GL

The 90's cartoon gave us a neutered Carnage. He's one of my favorite Spidey villains and it always bugged me that he wasn't a mass murderer in the cartoon.
