Edgar Wright, director of such films as Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, has been connected to the Ant-Man movie for a while, but nothing new has happened with it...until today!

VERY interesting! Does this mean that Kevin Feige is pushing him into it, so that one of those mysterious Marvel Movies in 2014/15 will be Ant-Man? Hopefully so!

Spidey91 - 5/5/2012, 9:30 AM
I hope this is the other 2014 movie!
JDUKE25 - 5/5/2012, 9:40 AM
Could care less if Ant-Man is in Avengers 2.
Viltrumite - 5/5/2012, 9:41 AM
I think Feige said there would be three Marvel films in 2014 depending on Edgar Wright, so that means Captain America 2, the unnamed film (hopefully Doctor Strange or Black Panther), and then Ant-Man.
That'd be a stellar line-up.
Asterisk - 5/5/2012, 9:45 AM
If Ant-Man/Giant Man is in Avengers 2, he should totally turn giant and tower over Loki and be like, "Got a problem with Ants, do ya?"

THAT would be awesome!
jazzman - 5/5/2012, 9:48 AM
@Viltrumite

do u mean Marvel Studio films or Marvel films that are own by other film studios (FOX and Sony)
ThreeBigTacos - 5/5/2012, 9:50 AM
Can anyone really see an Antman film working/being successful? Just his name alone isn't very tantalizing.
BrotherStarkofMABMindz - 5/5/2012, 9:59 AM
I hope they do the Ant-Man/Giant Man combo costume or just call him Yellowjacket
80sFace - 5/5/2012, 10:11 AM
man + ant = man-ant.
JatevinM - 5/5/2012, 10:12 AM
I seriously don't understand why one of Marvels most unappealing characters is getting a movie. This character does not have a power that people are going to want to see. His name alone is going to turn people away. I just think all the effort and money put into this character could have been put into someone like Doctor Strange, Ms.Marvel, Black Panther, or even Luke Cage. Antman and Wasp are only interesting when it comes to the creation of Ultron other than that they could easily be replaced.

I'd watch an Ant Man movie as long as Pym was treated like he is in EMH where he's the Giant Man at the same time. He would be a very versatile asset to the team that way.
JatevinM - 5/5/2012, 10:23 AM
I'm sorry but his power sucks I mean controlling your size? Come on seriously
Viltrumite - 5/5/2012, 10:31 AM
@jazzman
He was referring to Marvel Studios' standard output of two films per year, but he said if a film is ready, they may sometimes release three. For 2014, he said they already have Captain America and another film booker with release dates, but a third film for that year depended on Edgar Wright's schedule.

Its nothing... just some random stuff from the internet

No big deal
nowtheresaBATman - 5/5/2012, 11:15 AM
@JatevinM I concur; Dr.Strange or Black Panther

Ha1frican - 5/5/2012, 11:26 AM
@IronMan53 no make Fillion Coulson's replacement we need somebody sad for Pym I vote patrick wilson
JatevinM - 5/5/2012, 11:27 AM
Personally I want Doctor Strange
Ha1frican - 5/5/2012, 11:28 AM
@JatevinM it realy isn't about his powers its about how tragic of a character he actually is. He is constantly reminded that he isn't good enough ad struggles with identity issues. If you watched EMH you would like him.
dellamorte1872 - 5/5/2012, 11:42 AM
PYM will be in it. BUT he and JANET will be like scientists or something LANG snags a new prototype suit that changes size and have JANET design the helmet he talks to the ANTS. LANG dies at the end, NO MORE ANT-MAN. PYM will recover the suit and redesign + recalibrate it...GIANT-MAN cometh! GM + W in AVENGERS 2
dellamorte1872 - 5/5/2012, 11:43 AM
ITS A FUN MOVIE AND UNIQUE B/C NO OTHER CBM CHARACTER; has ever died!
Asterisk - 5/5/2012, 11:55 AM
Also, all you Ant Man haters...

ERIC O'GRADY IS AWESOME!
jazzman - 5/5/2012, 11:56 AM
@alex4everdn

but Man + Lighting could also work for The Flash or even Black Lighting LOL
JatevinM - 5/5/2012, 12:51 PM
Ha1frican@ I do watch EMH and I still don't like him or Wasp. They are both annoying and should seriously be replaced.
marvel72 - 5/5/2012, 1:28 PM
i don't mind ant-man being in the avengers 2,but i'd rather they went with the best hank pym alter ego yellow jacket.
theomegasanction - 5/5/2012, 7:11 PM
i like antman, but i agree that a dr. strange movie would be more successful as a solo movie. i would love to see antman in the next avengers movie
jstylez - 5/5/2012, 11:52 PM
well did loki say something about stepping on ants in the avengers movie?
mgeoff88 - 5/6/2012, 12:32 AM
That's gotta be a hint to the movie moving forward.

Well, I'm totally on board with Ant-Man being a secret agent. If they are still going with that script treatment. Hopefully.

"The name is Pym, Hank Pym." ;)
jimoakley666 - 5/6/2012, 3:50 AM
Ant-Man could really work. It's not his power that's appealing, it's what he does with the ability and how he uses it in fights. That EMH video above is a perfect example of that.
THEDARKNIGHT100 - 5/6/2012, 11:25 AM
ANT- BOOT
Bandrews1 - 5/6/2012, 5:19 PM
I really hope Ant-Man sees the light of day, along with Black Panther, Iron Fists, Luke Cage, and Dr. Strange.
kingmonkeyman - 5/6/2012, 7:38 PM
I just hope the bi-line isn't "Honey I shrunk the Pyms"
TheMightyTroy - 5/7/2012, 11:50 PM
