My take on a Hellblazer reboot

I've been working on this cast little-by-little and had been really working hard on it, But I wasn't intending to make it something bigger than it should be. But I also wanted to make it the way it should be something that would work as a 90 minute film with who've I've put in it.
HELLBLAZER
STORY: His past is shroud in the darkest of magic; he walks the line of life and death. He’s conned angels, demons and devils. John Constantine is a born Hellraiser, demons and angels like hate the very sound of his name. Someone from his past has begun haunting him. Stopping at nothing to harm the people he loves and trust. Now John is on a race to discover who it is and avoid a demon sent from hell (Nergal) in order to drag him down to hell!
TAGLINES: “Go to Hell” “He’s a real Hellraiser” “You can’t con a Constantine” “The Real Hellblazer!” “Any c*#^ can do it.”
Theme Song: "Hellraiser" by Motorhead - Just listen to the song it is just perfect for Constantine and his $#!^^% life.
Screenwriter - Screenwriters are responsible for researching the story, developing the narrative, writing the screenplay, and delivering it, in the required format, to Development Executives. Screenwriters therefore have great influence over the creative direction and emotional impact of the screenplay and, arguably, of the finished film. They either pitch original ideas to Producers in the hope that they will be optioned or sold, or screenwriters are commissioned by a producer to create a screenplay from a concept, true story, existing screen work or literary work, such as a novel, poem, play, comic book or short story.
Steve Kloves (Harry Potter {Film Series}, The Amazing Spider-Man): He’s a fantastic Screenwriter who’s done some amazing work. Personally no one really has the style of darkness humour adult-like maturity and magic that he has. He was a easy choice for the screenwriter for Hellblazer.
Director – Directors are responsible for overseeing creative aspects of a film under the overall control of the film producer. They often develop the vision for a film and carry out the vision, deciding how the film should look, in other words they make their vision come to life. They are responsible for turning the script into a sequence of shots. They also direct what tone it should have and what an audience should gain from the cinematic experience. Film directors are responsible for deciding camera angles, lens effects and lighting with the help of the cinematographer and set design with the production designer. They will often take part in hiring the cast and key crew members. They coordinate the actors' moves, or blocking and also may be involved in the writing, financing and editing of a film.
David Yates (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1 & 2): He’s a fantastic director who’s very dedicated and passionate to franchises and he has a great work with adult themes and magic/dark magic fantasy elements.
John Constantine [Height: 6’, Age: 40’s, Country of Origin: United Kingdom]: John Constantine was born in Liverpool, England, on the 10th of May. His mother died giving birth to him and his stillborn brother. John's father, Thomas, blamed John for her death, and a deep dislike grew between them. Whilst in the womb, John strangled his twin brother with his own umbilical cord; in a parallel universe glimpsed in Hellblazer #40, the twin survives to become the well-loved and well-adjusted magician that John never was. When children, John's older sister Cheryl and him lived briefly with their uncle and aunt in Northampton, to escape their fathers alcoholisim and he was currently imprisoned. When their father was released they returned to Liverpool. One of John's first acts of magic as a child was hide all of his childhood innoncence and vulnerability in a box to rid himself of it. Later a teenage John ran away from home, but not before a botched curse on his father caused him to become withered and frail. John eventually made his permanent home in London rooming with Francis "Chas" Chandler, a young man who has now gone on and become John's closest and longest surviving friend. John starting becoming involved in the occult circles in London. He visited San Francisco where he had a relationship with the magician Zatanna.
Jude Law [Height: 5' 11½", Age: 40, Country of Origin: United Kingdom] (Repo Men, Sherlock Holmes): A great actor, his name is tossed out for Bullseye often but I never really agree, not that he can’t do the role, but I just think that Constantine is a much more fitting and comfortable role for him. He’s really got the charm and the style to play a perfect Constantine, a much better one then Keanu had, and a much more authentic one aswell.
Zatanna Zatara [Height: 5’7”, Age: 30’s, Country of Origin: United States of America]: Zatanna Zatara is the daughter of famed magician Giovanni “John” Zatara and Sindella, a member of the mystical Homo Magi race. Zatanna is a direct descendant of the artist and magician Leonardo da Vinci, and is related to Nostradamus; Alessandro Cagliostro; the noted alchemists Nicholas Flamel and Evan Fulcanelli; and Lord Arion of Atlantis. Zatanna was a successful stage illusionist before she discovered her true magical powers while investigating the disappearance of her father. With the help of Batman, the Atom, Elongated Man and others, she was successfully reunited with him. Their time together was short, and unfortunately, both of her parents were killed on separate occasions while saving her life.
Adrianne Palicki [Height: 5’11”, Age: 29, Country of Origin: United States of America] (Legion, G.I. Joe Retaliation): She is really a fantastic actress, I’ve had her in mind while and I felt she was perfect for the role, she has the alluring qualities and the talent to portray the character well. Many might place her for different roles but to be honest she has the look and feel of the classic Zatanna and talent to play a more modern take on the character.
Francis “Chas” Chandler [Height: 5’11”, Age: 30’s-40’s, Country of Origin: United Kingdom]: Born Francis Williams Chandler, he is nicknamed after the Jimi Hendrix manager. He befriended John Constantine as early as the 60's, when John was kicked out Chas let him room with him, as they had recently became friends. Chas has a wife, Renee, who is usually ragging on him for something that usually leads back to John (as she has a great dislike of John). They have one daughter, Geraldine, who in turn has a daughter, Trish (Chas's granddaughter). Chas has now become a taxi driver, which is very convient for John, who is always causing trouble, and needing a ride somewhere. John will often try to keep Chas out of the dirtier aspects of John's work. This doesn't always work as seen once, when Chas was possessed by the demon Nergal. Chas has lived to be one of John's oldest and closest (and longest living) friends.
Joel Edgarton [Height: 5’11, Age: 38, Country of Origin: Australia] (Warrior, The Thing {2011}): He’s a favorite actor of mine and I haven’t cast him since FF (which we don’t need to bring up) but he does fit pretty well for the role I could see him partnering with Jude as Chas pretty well, he’s got talent skill and fits the characters look.
Cheryl Master [Height: 5’8”, Age: 40’s, Country of Origin: United Kingdom]: Chery Masters is the older sister of John Constantine. She married Tony Masters and has a daughter Gemma Masters.
Emily Mortimer [Height: 5’8”, Age: 41, Country of Origin: United Kingdom] (Harry Brown, Shutter Island): Having given Wonderful performances in both Harry Brown and Shutter Island I’ve had her in mind for some roles, but nothing action oriented in fact when I started thinking about Hellblazer she jumped out and I felt this was a fitting role for her. I think she would work well playing the sister to Jude’s Version of John.
Tony Masters [Height: 6', Age: 40's, Country of Origin: United Kingdom]: John's Brother in law, Married to Cheryl, father to Gemma, late in the series he Murder's Cheryl mistaking her for being a Witch.
Clive Owen [Height: 6'2", Age: 47, Country of Origin: United Kingdom] (Inside Man, Children of Men): Clive is a great actor and this would be a nice role for him. He's done well and would enjoy the role pretty well.
Gemma Master [Height: 5’8”, Age: late teen’s Early 20’s, Country of Origin]: Gemma Masters is the daughter of Tony and Cheryl Masters and niece of John Constantine. She is an orphan. She was a practicing magician, much to the dislike of her uncle.
Emma Watson [Height: 5’7”, Age: 22, Country of Origin: France] (Harry Potter {Film Franchise}, My Week with Marlyn): She’s delightful but stuck, she’s done little outside the HP Franchise and this would be a nice role to start, something that can be repeated but doesn’t have to be. This is great choice because she fits for the actress who would be playing her mother being appropriately young but also having the talent to carry the role research it and do more with it then just read cue-cards.
Map/Ken Ondaate [Height: 6’, Age: 40’s-60’s, Country of Origin: United Kingdom]: Map (born Ken Ondaate) is a supremely powerful magician who could have been king of the magi but instead elected to live a quiet life clearing up rail lines on the London Underground. He first appeared in Hellblazer issue 135.
Ernie Hudson [Height: 6’, Age: 67, Country of Origin: United States of America] (Ghostbusters, Oz): An amazing actor who fits the role, he may be a bit older then the character’s comic form but it would be worth it.
Clarice Sackville [Height: 6’, Age: 200 {Subject looks to be in her 70’s}, Country of Origin: United Kingdom]: Clarice Sackville is an elderly magician of considerable power, a high-ranking member of The Tate Club and an ally and former lover of John Constantine.
Helen Mirren [Height: 5’4”, Age: 67] (Red, State of Play): This is a role she hasn’t really played before (and as great an actress and as much as she’s done, that’s saying something) so I think at the very least it would be an attractive role for her. She’s no doubt talented enough and could give a devilish spin on the role.
Detective Watford [Height: 5’11”, Age: 30’s-50’s, Country of Origin: United Kingdom]: Watford is a detective chief inspector in the London Metropolitan police force. Watford is not his real name - it's a nickname after he was committed a shocking (and presumably sexual) act in the London borough of the same name. He became so infamous for this, in fact, that many people on the force don't know his actual name (indeed, it has never been revealed in the comic). He first appeared in Hellblazer issue 134.
Andrew Lincoln [Height: 5’10”, Age: 39, Country of Origin: United Kingdom] (Gangster No.1, The Walking Dead): A marvelous actor who’s won comic cult fame appearing in AMC’s hit comic based show The Walking Dead. An amazing actor for sure who’s younger then the comic character But I wanted to include Lincoln cause he is a fantastic performer and a Londoner himself.
Papa Midnite [Height: 6’2”, Age: 40’s, Country of Origin: Jamaica]: Papa Midnite (real name unknown) is an immortal mob boss, businessman and voodoo practitioner operating out of New York City. He is an uneasy ally and sometime enemy of John Constantine. His first appearance was in Hellblazer issue one.
Michael Clarke Duncan [Height: 6’5”, Age: 55, Country of Origin: United States of America] (Green Mile, Planet of the Apes): He’s a fanatastic actor who’s done amazing work in his past and would really take a creative spin on this role. He’s a great actor who could play the role well.
King of the Vampires [Height: 6’2”, Age: Unknown {Looks to be 30’s or 40’s} Country of Origin: Unknown {From a different plain of Existance]: The King of the Vampires bears a surprising resemblance to the actor James Dean, complete with leather jacket and brown quiff hair, although he is completely unrelated (a fact that he himself is baffled by). He has spent tens of thousands of years on Earth, killing and feeding on humans. As a result he sees them as little more than cattle and thinks nothing of maiming and murdering them purely for his own amusement.
Ethan Hawke [Height: 5'10½", Age: 42, Country of Origin: United States of America] (Gattaca, Daybreakers): His performance in Daybreakers really inspired me to cast him as the King of the Vampires, I admit he’s not a great actor but he could pull of this role pretty well.
Nergal [Height: Variable, Age: Unknown, Country of Origin Unknown]: Nergal is a Babylonian god-turned-demon and one of John Constantine's most dangerous and persistent enemies, second only to The First of the Fallen.
Robert Knepper [Height: 5'9½", Age 53, Country of Origin: United States of America] (Transporter 3, Prison Break): His name was the first to really pop in my head for the role, He’s got so much talent and the perfect voice that he just fits for the role so well it’d be a crime not to cast him as Nergal.
The First of the Fallen [Height: Variable, Age: Unknown, Country of Origin: Heaven {Plain of Existence}]: The First of the Fallen was introduced to be the iconic Vertigo Comics manifestation Devil, but due to continuity conflicts with Neil Gaiman's use of Lucifer in the The Sandman, an alternate background had to be developed. Instead, he was revealed to be the first being created and the first to be banished to Hell - hence the First of the Fallen.
Doug Bradley [Height: 6, Age: 58, Country of Origin: United Kingdom] (Hellraiser {Film Series}, Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes): Pinhead as the villain of Hellblazer? F*** YES! Doug has never been considered for the role and I honestly can’t see why not, he is an amazing performer who’s got the chilling voice, talent and movements to play such a villain.
Demon Constantine [Height: 6’, Age: 40’s, Country of Origin: United Kingdom]: The Demon Constantine is a demonic double of John Constantine composed of all of the least desirable parts of Constantine's personality, infused with Nergal's demonic blood and Aleister Crowley's soul. He is unable to leave Hell for any great length of time unless he is properly summoned. He first appeared in Hellblazer issue 94. In the movie version I would have him be made by the soul of his twin and the demon blood john was once infected with via Nergal. He would be the man attacking those John loves and framing john for crimes.
Jude Law [Height: 5' 11½", Age: 40, Country of Origin: United Kingdom] (Repo Men, Sherlock Holmes): A great actor, his name is tossed out for Bullseye often but I never really agree, not that he can’t do the role, but I just think that Constantine and Demon Constantine so much better. It works out well so that he can play both a good guy and a bad guy giving him some range to show and some challenge for him as an actor.
