Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Story Idea
My idea for how the plot of the GOTG movie should go
By rockerdude22 - 6/29/2012
So, it was recently reported that Marvel's mystery 2014 movie is Guardians of the Galaxy. I think this has great potential. Anyway, I did some brainstorming for how the movie should play out. Here it is below:
So, the main baddie would be Thanos and the MacGuffin(s) of the film would be the Infinity Gems. The story goes is that Thanos is searching for the Gems. Adam Warlock senses this, and decides to form a team of the galaxy's mightiest heroes to prevent Thanos from getting the Gems. This leads to him playing a role similar to Nick Fury and recruiting the likes of Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, etc. to form the team.
The main plot of the film would be the team searching the galaxy for the Gems before Thanos can get a hold of them. Of course, Thanos would be right behind them in hot pursuit to claim the Gems for himself. Along the way, Thanos gains a few allies and/or lackeys under his command. The final battle of the film would involve Drax having a one on one battle with Thanos, with the rest of the Guardians fighting off his allies/lackeys. It's one big climatic battle for possession of the Gems. The battle ends with the Guardians victorious, and Drax seemingly killing Thanos. The team decides to stay together and protect the galaxy from further threats, and Adam Warlock decides to discard of the Gems in a safe place.
The after-credit scene would show the location of the final battle. We see Thanos' body and...HE'S ALIVE! He survived his encounter with Drax. Well that, or Death brought him back. He then says something along the lines of "don't think you've won just yet. The Gems will be mine!". Scene to black.
What do you guys think? Do you like my idea? Not like it? Any constructive criticism? Share your thoughts below! Thanks for reading!
