According to Deadline, The UK’s ITV Studios will team with New Zealand-based Pukeko Pictures and Weta Workshop to co-produce Thunderbirds Are Go!, a reboot of the classic 1965 tv series. Apparently twenty-six half hour episodes have been ordered for air on ITV and CITV in the UK in 2015. The show - who's creator Gerry Anderson passed away last December - ran for just two seasons but became something of an international sensation, even spawning a live action movie starring Ben Kingsley in 2004. “Thunderbirds is a highly respected brand that continues to hold recognition around the world," said ITV’s Denise O Donoghue today. "This cult series is often credited as changing the history of animation and action-adventure, and we look forward to taking the show to another level while retaining the much-loved heritage that has endured over the past fifty years.”

If they approach it as they did the Captain Scarlet remake it could be ace. But I'm a bit concerned that Anderson's AP Films aren't mentioned. I hope it will be made in the spirit of Gerry and crew.

modernize it with cg animation because most kids in this generation 10 yrs and up won't watch it if they were puppets it would just creep them out

@jimoakley666 no no no, all im saying is that as both past shows for children, in the characters and style of the worlds, there are both chances for a more adult modern adaption. Thuderbirds shits bricks on power rangers, but i can imagine a kick ass 18 blood and guts PR being pretty cool
