X-Men: The Last Stand Director Brett Ratner Has Won An Award!

And its not the "Hack of the century award" either.
I came across this video on Filmdrunk. After the coverage Brent has been bringing us about the almighty tool mouthing off comic fans, I thought I should give us all a good chuckle!

This is the unbelievably hyperbolic montage that they showed before presenting Ratner with his Kodak Show East award back in 2004.

Funny stuff, eh? You gotta love the fact that they keep blasting the amounts of cash his movies have made all over the screen but not a critic's comment to be found! In fairness, "Red Dragon" wasn't bad, but the sun even shines on a dog's ass sometimes.

Brett was definitely born out of his mother's ass to be the piece of shit he is. I ask can anything else really be said???
ASSASSIN666 - 9/13/2009, 3:14 PM
ah, damn i almost thought he won The biggest douche in the universe award. Damn Brett!
Spilox - 9/13/2009, 3:16 PM

InSpace - 9/13/2009, 3:28 PM
Bless :)
teabag - 9/13/2009, 3:28 PM
Meh. I met him a few years back. He's a funny guy, reminded me of a grown up frat boy. Didn't care for X3 like many others. I guess that's what happens when the director doesn't like the source material.
MultiPurposePoni - 9/13/2009, 3:31 PM
Hes not that bad of a director. X3 was a major disappointment for sure, but I like Money Talks.
stark - 9/13/2009, 3:38 PM
So your the guy that went to see that movie!;)

Hey, each to their own, personally i find all of those "comedies" he makes to be as funny as a burning orphanage. And anyone that keeps giving that human car alarm Chris Tucker work needs to [frick] right off.
Rorschach01 - 9/13/2009, 3:48 PM
Chriss Tucker in Rush Hour is just the Beverley Hills Cop on Heliume :(
teabag - 9/13/2009, 3:51 PM
DID YOU NOTICE THE WHOLE CONGRATS VIDEO SAID NOTHING ABOUT X 3?, NOT A THING...
GUNSMITH - 9/13/2009, 3:59 PM
@GUNSMITH I think that's because X3 was released in 2006 and this video is from 2004.
MultiPurposePoni - 9/13/2009, 4:10 PM
AHHH I SEE, MY BAD..I WONDER IF THEY'LL INCLUDE X 3 IN A NEW TRIBUTE.I KNOW EVERYONE HERE IS ON THEIR TOES FOR THAT TO HAPPEN..OOOOOOH
GUNSMITH - 9/13/2009, 4:15 PM
haha, somehow i don't see many more tributes in this dudes future. Unless Satan decides to honor him for his BJ skills.
Rorschach01 - 9/13/2009, 4:17 PM
clap, clap, silence....
Number21 - 9/13/2009, 4:25 PM
Rorschach01 I seriously laughed till my eyes watered at your comments...

Human car alarm ! LMFAO!!
DarthMulder - 9/13/2009, 4:30 PM
Multipurpose@, that's the problem, HE IS just a frat boy but he never GREW UP! He's a childish director.

It's evident that he doesn't respect the X-men source material and doesn't know anything about directing a superhero movie. Superhero stories are full of character development and keeping the stories right with the the character's histories and characteristics.
DDD - 9/13/2009, 4:31 PM
Lol!
LEEE777 - 9/13/2009, 4:32 PM
Chris Tucker totally ruined the last part of The Fifth Element for me! Human car alarm, indeed!
DDD - 9/13/2009, 4:35 PM
lol @ Rorschach

Chris Tucker = Human Car Alarm
That is so true although if he was a car, no-one would want to steal him because he would steadily get more annoying and louder with every second
dancingmonkey08 - 9/13/2009, 4:40 PM
I'm surprised Rat-turd didn't have Tucker play one of the bad mutants in X3.

They go together! They're both so annoying, like scratching on a chalkboard and yapping poodles all at once! lol
DDD - 9/13/2009, 4:51 PM
TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO(wait for it)OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!
KEROSENE - 9/13/2009, 4:54 PM
He is expressed very different what about x3,makes me feel like he's being some sorta hypocrite.
Weiner123 - 9/13/2009, 4:59 PM

access - 9/13/2009, 5:37 PM
@DDD I totally agree with you, he should stay out of the superhero genre altogether. Just because you breeze though a couple of issues of x-men doesn't mean you are a subject matter expert. It seems that the success of his previous films, which were noted in this clip, got to his head.

On a side note, a few days ago I read the posts regarding his comments to comic book fans, specifically aimed at those who disliked his take on X-men. In my opinion the entire plot of the movie was bad, and I have a hard time remembering any parts that I liked. That doesn't mean I'm going to post things like: "I want to F**king kill Ratner!!!!!" and "Ratner is the biggest piece of sh*t on the planet!!". That's a bit extreme, don't you think? I think any man would snap back with a few insults after hearing that kind of trash talk. He's just a director, and it was just a movie. He messed up the movie, so what? I screw up at my job constantly, and no one talks to me that crudely. Just because we dislike something doesn't mean we have to loose out civility.
MultiPurposePoni - 9/13/2009, 5:45 PM
This video is pretty freaking old. He deserves the 'Douchebag Award'.
SirPrize - 9/13/2009, 6:11 PM
dude i actually love the rush hour movies!!! jackie chan with the annoying and yet somehow also hilarious chris tucker is great!!!!
Duhdaduh - 9/13/2009, 6:50 PM
..i know brett gets such a laugh at the nerd hate.
InFamouslyCool - 9/13/2009, 7:01 PM
NO LIE HE ONLY MADE ONE WRONG MOVIE HE ACTUAL MAKES GOOD MOVIES
flames809 - 9/13/2009, 7:48 PM
AND THIS AINT FUNNY AT ALL
flames809 - 9/13/2009, 7:51 PM
Honestly never seen this but Iam do like the Rush Hour series, Iam big on Chan & Tucker is way better than Marlyn Wayans.
Spock - 9/13/2009, 7:55 PM
you know it spock!!
Duhdaduh - 9/13/2009, 8:01 PM
Don't get me wrong! I don't hate Ratner personally or his other movies, especially Rush Hour but he sure as hell mucked up X3! So I'm really pissed at him for that! They should have left him in comedy!
DDD - 9/13/2009, 8:18 PM
I actually like Chris Tucker.

Is his movies always great??? No. But I do believe that he is type casted for his roles.

Can he act??? Yes he can. Long before Rush Hour and Money Talks, Tucker was in Dead Presidents.

I'm all for the "we hate Ratner" thing, but sheesh!!! You guys will bash just about anything without doing a little homework on someone.

I remember before Jamie Foxx did RAY. Everybody was on him saying he could'nt act. What about Adam Sandler??? Before Reign over me came out and Punch Drunk Love, everybody said Adam can only do Comedy.

A lot of these actors can suprise anyone these days.

You've been UNMASKED!!!
Unmasked - 9/13/2009, 8:32 PM
Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder.
Skyh00k - 9/13/2009, 8:52 PM
An Award doesn't change that he is still a DOUGHE BAG
thegreek - 9/13/2009, 9:02 PM
Family Man and Red Dragon were good. And you have to admit the Rush Hour movies are entertaining at least.

He's still a douche.
LexLuthor - 9/13/2009, 9:27 PM
gay

Ryguy88 - 9/13/2009, 9:30 PM
Unmasked when Jaime Fox speaks he doesn't shatter glass and make me want to punch a baby. Some people think Carrot Top is funny, go figure. I think Tucker is about as useful as a cock flavored lollipop.

Ozy, you want me to play Cyclops? I can do that!

Flames, well i thought it was [frick]in hilarious.

Rorschach01 - 9/13/2009, 9:30 PM
Nauseating to watch that. I'd bet good money that Ratner put the tribute together himself.

WeaponX - 9/13/2009, 9:35 PM
@ROR.......LoL

You're right. I'll give you that.

But think about it.... If someone met Tucker, they would expect him to be like his Rush Hour Persona. That's what the average person sees, when they see him on tv. So of course he's gonna be loud and what not.

It's the samething with a guy like Tom Welling. What will we say about him when he's done acting??? "He's that guy on Smallville".

It's how it is man.

Unmasked - 9/13/2009, 9:52 PM
Since we're digging up old stuff on Brett Ratner at his expense, I came across this little tale that Ratner let slip.

Go here:

http://shareddarkness.com/2007/08/06/brett-ratner-blowjob.aspx

WeaponX - 9/13/2009, 10:18 PM
@Rorshach "personally i find all of those "comedies" he makes to be as funny as a burning orphanage." - couldn't have said it better myself mate. Sitting through, even Rush Hour to me is like getting a colonoscopy. Needless to say the sequels are worse, to me.

Chris Tucker IS the "human car alarm" - I have never found him funny - he's disgustingly obnoxious and cringe worthy, though highly talented is being annoying is a talent.

@DDD yeah he probably tried to get Tucker cast as The Juggernaught, but the "studio made him change it" lol... actually he could've played the female one who screams really loudly, what's her name?

I do own and enjoy Red Dragon, but seriously, with a story and cast like that who could go wrong, and I still think it could've been alot better. Family Man is ALRIGHT, but after watching it a couple times, I started liking it less and less, where as with Red Dragon I liked it more and more.

@Skyhook I don't say these things without that in mind, but sometimes you just gotta go with your visceral gut instinct and get subjective on that shit.

That's the problem with Ratstard anyway, he thinks we are all just a meat scaffold with two eyes glued to it.

Yay, he won an award - look at the brightside, if he gets an actual physical award, he has something else to shove up his ass.
48and2 - 9/13/2009, 11:26 PM
@ unmasked I thought Reign over me was a comedy!!!! Are you cupping satan's balls while fatner takes a mouthfull?

Ratner has never made a good movie.
wards - 9/14/2009, 12:41 AM
I would have thought that the award would have been for Ratner's uncanny ability to blindly identify the major players in Hollywood simply by tasting their balls.
loki668 - 9/14/2009, 2:03 AM
@ stark. Why do you call yourself Stark and have a picture of Rhodey putting on the arnor? No offense though.
Scorpioxfactor - 9/14/2009, 2:18 AM
OK I'm going to get my ass kicked on this one but I have to say it. I LIKE X-MEN 3. Where there things in it that I didn't like sure. But as the major story goes I think it was pretty good.
Cook - 9/14/2009, 3:26 AM
Cook: Im gonna kick your ass! ;)

Well, the guy will never win a real award because he's a) a douchebag and b) a talentless turd so this has probably been a career highlight for him!
joshw24 - 9/14/2009, 4:34 AM
Ratner overall X3 was alright, but characters relation was crap. That is what burnt me on that movie!!!

@ Joshw24 your in Britain Right?
Spock - 9/14/2009, 8:10 AM
Do youuuuu understand the worrrrrrds that are cummin outta my mouf?
superdog - 9/14/2009, 8:15 AM
joshw24--lol

WeaponX-- HAHA! OHhh! I went and read that. What I want to know is who's dicks did Ratner suck to have the career that he has?
Betty - 9/14/2009, 9:11 AM
Brett Ratner=giant douche bag
LaffaTaffa - 9/14/2009, 11:05 AM
FATNER!
icebergslick - 9/14/2009, 1:59 PM
red dragon is still pretty much the best movie he has made.

WTF? He introduced Jackie Chan to the US? I was watching Jackie's movies at least 5 yrs before rush hour came out.
ReddHotPoker - 9/14/2009, 2:16 PM
Well Ror! It looks like you got 5 thumbs down?! What do you think about that???...
Minotauro - 9/14/2009, 3:16 PM
I think they may have been giving the fact that Ratner has won an award the thumbs down genius! And even if they were thumbing down the article itself, do you really think i would give a flying [frick]? really?;)
Rorschach01 - 9/14/2009, 4:15 PM
Actually Betty

The award was his "most cocks sucked to get a successful career in film" award. Larrowly beating out Jenna Jameson. I'll tell you this, he could never pull down a COCK-ASS AWARD! Fkn Hack FATNER!!

Ror01

To touch on Red Dragon, it is my understanding that Ed Norton basically took over the movie and Ratner sat on his thumb thru pretty much the entire production. Which makes sense given the final results.

His best movie and he was barely a part of it.
BillyBlack - 9/14/2009, 5:17 PM
Wait, thumbs down means you don't like the article? I thought it meant the gladiator should kill the guy he defeated.
superdog - 9/14/2009, 7:23 PM
Lol Ror, calm down man!!! I was just testing ya! ;D
Minotauro - 9/14/2009, 7:38 PM
@Superdog LMAO... I thought it meant go for second stage Houston
