3 More For Let Me In

Elias Koteas, Cara Buono and Sasha Barrese will join Kodi Smit McPhee and Chloe Moretz in the remake of the Swedish Vamp movie,Let The Right One In...
Yeah I know this isn't comic book movie related, but since Hitgirl herself, Chloe Moretz is starring, and the original is one of the best horror movies ever, I figured a casting update couldn't hurt(besides, the way things seem to be working backwards in Hollyweird, it probably wont be long before we see a comic adaptation anyway!)

And, of course, we all remember the awesome Elias Koteas as Casey Jones don't we! He will be playing a character called "The Policeman" and he joins Cara Buono (Kelli Moltisanti in “The Sopranos”) as Owen’s mother and Sasha Barrese (The Hangover) as Virginia. It was previously announced that Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloe Moretz would play the leads Owen and Abby and Richard Jenkins (The Visitor) would play the guardian of Abby.

President and CEO of Hammer Films Simon Oakes provides a quote, saying that the “The brilliance of [the original] story deserves to be seen by audiences on a wide scale and we are excited that the pieces are in place to make that a reality.”

I completely agree..so why not just release the original and promote the Hell out of it!..oh silly me, its subtitled, And we all know, the average Joe public is illiterate. Ah well, not to worry, a lovely glossy American version of the story they THINK you will enjoy more is on the way!

Anyway, I think iv used up my sarcasm quota for the day. In fairness, although I am against this remake, they have assembled some great talent, so I will give it a chance..but I advise you all to check out the original first.

The original is pretty good. It's slow but man there are some trippy scenes in it. I think Ror/Mark liked it too.

Whenever I see this title "Let Me In", my mind is cast back to the preacher in Poltergeist II banging away at the screen door.

'Let-Me-In!... and we'll talk about it.'

That guy was awesome.

CorndogBurglar - 11/3/2009, 8:39 AM
is this the movie about the boy who befriends a vampire chick and she starts killings his bullies? I started watching but i got distracted. Its a fairly new movie isn't it? Why are they remaking it?
MsKyle08 - 11/3/2009, 8:54 AM

I just can't put my finger on which villain Elias would suit. There's bound to be one but i can't think of it at the moment...
Shaman - 11/3/2009, 1:37 PM
people remake movies because lazy aholes don't like to read subtitles anymore. for f- sakes this movie came out last year and it hasn't even been on dvd shelves long enough for anyone to notice it. it's a brilliant flick - the ending scene at the pool is one of the greatest shots of all time.

I'm not always against remakes - but this one seems very unnecessary considering how wicked the original is and how great of a setting the first one had being set overseas.....fckuing fcuk. Let the Right One in is so good. Atleast they cast Jenkins - that's the right move.
Keven - 11/3/2009, 1:48 PM
Well said keven!
MsKyle08 - 11/3/2009, 1:56 PM
This movie will be an unimaginative piece of crap. The original was fantastic with a great script. I'm sure they will try to add some original plot twists or force a new character into it. crap, crap, crap, crap.......
TNTjesus - 11/3/2009, 7:33 PM
Get some tits in it, that always sells ;P
