RUMOR: A Major Character Will Meet His/Her End In TDKR

The rumor mill suggests that a major character from all three Christopher Nolan Batman movies will be killed off in this final installment. Obviously major (potential) SPOILERS ahead so do not even click on the article if you don't wanna know em..

I have received word from a source working on the Pittsburgh set of The Dark Knight Rises that a major and well loved character from Nolan's movies will meet a violent end in the director's third and final movie. Having checked into it a little more and seeing several other reports of this on various forums I figured it was worth posting as a rumor at least. So this may not be true, but obviously don't read any further if you don't want to know who might kick the bucket.

Apparently Lucius Fox played by Morgan Freeman in all three Batman movies by Christopher Nolan meets his end in TDKR. Word is that he is murdered but by whom seems to be little more than guesswork, some saying Bane more feeling that it will be Marion Cotillard's character Miranda Tate(believed to be Talia Al Ghul). My source didn't mention any of that, just that he is killed and he reckons it is a prelude to the Batman/Bane scrap on the steps we have seen so much footage of.

What do you guys think? Could we be saying goodbye to Lucius? I'm not sure it really makes to much sense given what we already(think we) know of the story so far. Jim Gordon already seemingly suffers at the hands of one of Batman's foes, most likely prompting Batman to "come back". Killing Lucius might be a bit much. But, it's all conjecture at this point anyway. We will find out soon enough. For now confirm or debunk below.

It's possible. We do see Bane with the prototype tumblers.

and then Joseph Gordon Levitt's character takes over or something.

It's obvious if any main character will die it's him-
Gordon will remain alive because he's the tie to the police, also his daughter's got a chance of becoming Batgirl if any other film's made in the future
Alfred is impossible to kill- many have tried, each time he's came out alive.
Bruce'd never die, as he's the main character

It's the conclusion to Nolan's trilogy, so it wouldn't surprise me. It will most likely be back to reboot land after this one so they can kill off anyone they feel will add more to the story in this film.

Anyways, I kinda called this. Figured Lucius was the most likely to get killed off. Pretty sad though, great character.

I dont want him to kick the bucket. But he really didnt have much purpose in TDK except to run Wayne Enterprise and play with the big computer. But I guess this will mean Bruce will be running the big company at the end. He will be missed the last 45 mins of the movie :(

This is probably ture. Nolan has killed "good guys" in both of the other Batfilms. Of course Bruces parents were supposed to die but then he killed Racheal Dawgface in TDK. Of course he has to kill a good guy in this one.

I wouldnt kill any of Bruce´s/Batman´s "mentors"

It would be enough if someone of them almost dies through Bane´s or Marion Cotillard´s mysterious character´s hands!

But im not against it if they kill one of them.

about damn time! Luscious should of died in TDK...I thought wayne built his own stuff anyways like in the comics...but in the nolans movies he has someone else building his stuff....so its about time.

regardless though, this movie is in danger of being a big dissapointment in my book:

1. Dark Knight Rises!? crappy movie title.

2. Bane looking like anakin skywalker/vader without his helmet looks pathetic.

3. a VILLIAN named catwoman in a Nolan movie doesnt mix.

4. catwomans costume....ugh.

I need to see ALOT more positives in order for me to see this movie in theaters...right now THE AVENGERS has shown ALOT less and is getting more hype.

Prolly gonna kill off "Easy Reader". ["Electric Company" reference for all you young 'uns]

AND will prolly kill off Alfred. "Owl Bet You Din' KNOW 'Dat."

AND, most importantly, Nolan will kill off The Batman/Bruce Wayne. Prolly will have the main character off hissef'. Why? It's NOLAN. Doesn't want anyone coming along after him and latching on to "HIS" universe. And good riddance. After Nolan goes off to direct what he considers "real" films, someone with a LOVE for comic book characters can come along and give us The Batman right out of the pages of DC Comics.

LOL, will they put a Star Trek "red shirt" on Luscious before he gets waxed?

Why is this movie letting so much stuff out...dont they have any type of security? "People in glass houses s-s-sink...ss-shh-ships." At this rate WB might as well just release the whole script and have comicbookmovie.com put it together with pictures taken from the extras and spys on set...I think I need to stop coming to this sight atleast until after TDKR is released so I dont know the entire plot of the movie. Regardless I still have high hopes for TDKR but so far The Avengers is stealing it's thunder! Sorry Batman...you lost your box office throne this year and so far looks like Marvel is gonna stick it to you again next summer!
