POLL: What Is Your Favorite X-Men Movie?

POLL: What Is Your Favorite X-Men Movie? POLL: What Is Your Favorite X-Men Movie?

As X-Men: First Class gears up for it's Blu-ray/DVD release I thought i'd find out which Fox X flick was the CBM community's favorite.

Feature Opinion

Fox have produced 5 X movies so far. Bryan Singer's original two were generally considered (critically anyway) to be far superior to both Brett Ratner's third installment and Gavin Hood's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. But then Mathew Vaughn's prequel/reboot changed all that, exceeding all expectations and becoming something of a mimi phenomonan in that even the vast majority of fans that were calling for Vaughn's head admitted to really enjoying it.

But of course, both Wolverine and X3 have their fans too. Both actually grossed more money that either of Singer's entries and even have staunch defenders here on CBM. So lets find out once and for all. Which X movie do you guys think is truly the best yet?

That is why you should never judge a film before it comes out, alot of people hated first class before it even came out,now it has more votes than any of them, and they made it in less that a year! lol first class was awesome

Agree with @LaputaHeir should be a "none of the above" option... lol... sorry just didn't really like any of these films... they all had their moments, but it's like .1% good in a sea of 99.9% bad... but oh well, just hoping that Marvel gets it and reboots it soon before Fox makes any more foxmen! :P

X-Men: First Class. The others don't deserve to be called X-Men films. I mean, I enjoyed Act 2 of 'Wolverine', but the other were so [frick]ing boring, hated the characters, even when I was younger I thought they were shit.

X2 is one of the best marvel films to date probably the fourth best

First class just took a Giant piss all over the source material and the continuity was so messed up its sad how much they didnt care .....

In X2 we had the Nightcrawler Sequence Wolverine going berserk in the X mansion + his fight with Deathstrike

but whatever Magneto was the only character to care about he was really cool ....until he turned Irish in the last half hour for some reason rofl

X-men 1. I liked the plot more than X2, though X2 had plenty of great action sequences, X1 was more "classic" X-men. 4-man band vs. Magneto, lots of character moments that made it great. First Class was excellent, but IMO Fassbender MADE the movie, without him I think it would've not entertained me nearly as much. Some of the characters' arcs didn't really make a lot of sense and some of the acting wasn't up to par either.

Yeah First class changed a lot from the source, but a lot was already changed, and they did the best (literally) they could with what they had..
And really, the only continuity problems it had was from X-Men Origins Wolverine, and honestly who else doesn't mind that movie just being ignored anyway?
I mean it was a complete fail, the less that is referenced to it, the better.
The Deadpool movie should ignore it's existence also..
Before someone mentions the problem about Beast being in human form in X2, but that isn't a continuity problem, as Beast is known to use an image inducer, even in the comics..

X men 1 was boring as hell. X2 was better but none of these films have truly captured the epic nature of the Xmen. I believe First Class came the closest to achieving this but they made a big mistake in having that film be beholden to the previous trilogy. If they had started from scratch with a reboot and the proper First Class with Cyclops, Iceman, etc, instead of the throwaway third tier mutants they used instead, the film would have been epic. Marvel Studios is succeeding because their films are true interpretations of the source material. It's like their characters are leaping right off the comic page and onto the screen. Fox and Singer continue to put their spin on the Xmen franchise to mixed results. I guess to sum it up, the entire Xmen franchise feels like watered down versions of their comic counterparts.

I don't know... First Class is slightly better I think because of the overall value of the 2 protagonists.

But I think some scenes of X2 are truly epic (of course I'm talking about the mansion's invasion and Magneto's breakout).

X2 FTW because of Nightcrawler!

2nd one was to much wolverine already, 3rd was just shitty phoenix saga if thats what you even want to call that crap, 1st movie was the closest to what a real xmen movie, was it great? no. but closer to xmen then any of the other movies in the x stories

1. X2
2. X3
3. First Class
4. Wolverine
5. X1

I hate prequels and First Class didn't really do much to change that with all of the continuity issues. I know everyone has their opinion, but i can't understand for the life of me why everyone is "d!ck-riding" First Class so much. I admit, it wasn't AS bad as we thought it was gonna be and there were a few note-worthy performances, but thats about all it accomplished. No way u can tell me that it was better than the Stewart/Mcellen combination...

1st x-men 2 just because it was as close to a proper line up as possible.

2nd x-men first class just for magneto

3rd x-men was alright but reminds me of a direct to dvd film.

4th x-men 3 the dark phoenix saga was a good idea but just poorly made.

5th x-men origins wolverine only good bit was when logan became weapon x in the lab & he escaped the rest of the movie is total shit.

BY FAR BEST FIGHT SCENE IN ANY X-MEN MOVIE...

THE BEAST FIGHTING IN X 3 WAS...MEH, COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. X-MEN FIRST CLASS WAS GOOD BUT THE CONTINUITY IS REALLY OFF, IT WAS GOOD BUT IT CONFLICTS WITH SOME OF THE EVENTS THAT HAPPENED IN OTHER X-MEN MOVIES.

nuck82 - 8/29/2011, 8:55 AM
i dont count 1st class or Wolverine orig to be xmen movies, do they have xmen in them, yeah sure, but they are not xmen movies at all, 1st class showed us how mags and x met, not about xmem.

Wolverine orig was about his live story and all the crap hes been going thru, not about xmen and not even about him while in xmen. only resone the put xmen in his title so non comic fans would know how thats the guy everyone likes form the other xmen movies

I wanna say neither cause c'mon, have they all been a TRUE X-Men film? NO! but whatever.

1. X2: X-Men United
2. X-Men: First Class
3. X-Men The Last Stand
4. X-Men
5. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (if it MUST be included in this list)

I don't see how so many people can just throw continuity out the window.

Like it or not, First Class was a piece of the overall movies...and it didn't fit...at all.

continuity is the single most important part of story telling. y'know? making sure you're telling a cohesive story that doesn't contradict itself? if they wanted to make so much up, they should of just done a reboot, not this half-assed crap thats both. how does that make sense?

X2 all the way.
