FAN MADE: A Gay Stormtrooper Love Story In Short Film LOVE WARS

We have seen lots of Star Wars fan films in the past, but this is definitely the first one focusing on two homosexual Stormtroopers longing to find a way to be together! Check it out..

This impressive short film from Vincente Bonet Martinez focuses on a pair of love-struck Stormtroopers meeting in secret as a battle rages outside with the Rebel Alliance. It's interesting not just for it's premise, but also some nice dialog as both Troopers exchange views on why the Rebels are such "angry men". It's also pretty funny in places. The vid is tiny so be sure to click in the corner for full screen.



One thing though..aren't all of the Stormtroopers clones? Hmmmm..

i was under the impression the clone facility was detroyed and these stormtroopers are people who join and enlist later on.

I tried to watch, wouldn't load for me. Still, the concept is a little too ridiculous and gimmicky.

This, on the other hand, is amusing.

This was a lot better than I thought it would be, considering most Star Wars parodies are just that: parodies, not to mention taking a staple franchise of a predominantly juvenile-minded, straight male audience and focusing on the romantic relationship between two male stormtroopers....

Let's just say I was expecting a lot of stereotype and passive-aggressive homophobia.

But this was somewhere near profound, and I appreciated the debate they had, bordering on philosophical discussion about the politics and social climate of their world, all of which dealt with what was really going on between them.

I think this is about as close as anyone is gonna get to getting an audience of the CBM-going demographic to take a subject like homosexuality seriously.

The Star Wars element didn't hurt...

...and that line...BWAHAHAHAHA.

I wrote an editorial stating Star Wars #4 is the greatest movie ever made.

It's stuff like this that proves it. You don't see 'Citizen Kane' or 'The Godfather' , etc. being endlessly incorporated into just about anything society -at-large can dream up.

I maintain that no other film has had such a profound effect on society than this property...it just never dies, and hope it never will!

Oldworm, well ehh yes!..although the word does suggest a fear of gay people, I hear some complain that although they don't like them, they are not afraid of them. I guess we can do away with calling them homophobic. We'l settle on ignorant assholes.

Homosexuality is not a life choice; it's origins are biological.

But if you are gay, and aren't comfortable with the genes life has dealt you, there's always Boob therapy. With regular boob exposure and contact administered according to the physician's prescription, the success rate is 100%.

I found it to be an interesting philosophical discussion on the dreamer versus realist visions.

The fact that they are gay or in the Star Wars galaxy was purely superficial.

Both of my best friends are gay. I also happen to think having sex with another guy is about the most vile thing I could possibly imagine. Thinking homosexuality is disgusting does not mean I hate a whole person because he/she happens to be a homosexual.

^^^ yet another way of looking at it. Fine, that's completely different. I still don't really GET that way of thinking (surely finding someone's actions disgusting equates to a certain amount of personal disgust for them?), but whatever.

This is an iffy post at best. Really, that are people who do not have an issue with the gays, but comic book people in general really don't want to here about two guys in love.
Sure there will be some that will disagree with this post, but most are just to cowardly to say they really don't want to hear about gay stuff on a comic book website.

No not all stormtroopers are clones? there are huge percentages who are conscripts or voluntarily joined. the clonetroopers were all clones.

Also, it's preeeetty obvious that you DO have a problem with gay people, seeing as how you think they shouldn't be allowed in certain things.

Are you saying that there should be no gays in comics? Because their are plenty of gay characters in comic books of all types, and it sounds pretty preposterous that you think some things shouldn't be allowed to have gay characters in them, how they should be just "left alone".

And considering how you're yelling angrily, incoherently, and irrationally, I'd say that you do qualify as a "hater".

Only the prequel clone troopers were all clones...byt the time of the original films the trooper core were made up of loads of different strands with only 1 legion remaining pure (full of clones)...

Still pretty funny this...good find..lol

Just because your born with it, doesn't make it a right to embrace. Also... don't bring up religion and homosexuality... especially Christianity. There are way too many scriptures in the Bible that condemn sexual deviance and teach control of the spirit over the body.

Sorry, you can't call yourself a good christian while being promiscuous in any way... pick one or the other.

Whatever, probably shouldn't get into this discussion. You say one thing against homosexuality and you get the chair. You say one thing against religion, and you get a promotion.
