The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way…

BattlinMurdock - 8/2/2012, 9:21 AM
It's not trying to be anything more than a lot of manly fun, so that's what I'll try to have when I watch it.
RorMachine - 8/2/2012, 9:21 AM
I have to admit, it does look like fun..ish! I'll rent it:)
Kingdork - 8/2/2012, 9:23 AM
Rated R? I thought it had to be PG-13 for Norris to be part of the team.
0ptimusCrime - 8/2/2012, 9:25 AM
Looks Fun!
Danbojohnj - 8/2/2012, 9:26 AM

RorMachine - 8/2/2012, 9:26 AM
They obviously worked around his rigid principles with more cash.

Hated the first yet I slept through most of it, but wasn't really excited for this train wreck of a film til this spot. Look's ok but I feel its just going to have mediocre fight scenes with a few one-liners that probably won't make it past the theatre. For all the wonderful cast in this movie, I hope to God i'm wrong.

Arnold and Norris, damn I can't wait for this
ModernAvenger89 - 8/2/2012, 9:27 AM
Stupid movie for stupid people. First one was boring and silly. The Expendables franchise is a constant insult to great 80's films!
Mime - 8/2/2012, 9:29 AM
It's so going to be a action pack fun ride. Is JCVD the main villain?
RorMachine - 8/2/2012, 9:33 AM
As long as we get an Arnie groan/scream, I'll be happy..

ralfinader - 8/2/2012, 9:36 AM
@ModernAvenger89 - No need to be a dick, dick. If you think it's an insult to the 'great 80's films' then you must have some rose-colored glasses on.
BattlinMurdock - 8/2/2012, 9:37 AM
It's rated R for violence, which Norris is okay with.

He opposed the hard-R language, which they seem to have cut. So no major loss.

If you're in your late 20's like me, you're seeing this. Great action and cheesy one liners. Classic 80's action movie formula.
boostergold76 - 8/2/2012, 9:55 AM
I still don't get all the hate for the first one. I thought it was a badass action flick. some of the acting and lines sucked, i will admit, but that last half hour of the movie, total badassery!
xXkryptoniteXx - 8/2/2012, 10:07 AM
3 of the biggest action star of the decades in one movie
Arnold Schwarznegger
Bruce Willis
Slyvester Stallone
Darkhaven - 8/2/2012, 10:10 AM
Almost forgot about this one...must go see it!
xXkryptoniteXx - 8/2/2012, 10:11 AM
@boostergold

True, but I think everyone was thinking that there would be more with better story or at least something above the action story. I liked The mechanic an the story was okay and not the best but better then expendables. With the same director as the mechanic this next one would be better. I agree the last bit of the movie was all bad ass.
White - 8/2/2012, 10:18 AM
BLOOD! I'll watch this!
boostergold76 - 8/2/2012, 10:58 AM
@xXkryptniteXx....i agree...The Mechanic was a damn good flic. Did you see the directors cut though of the expendables? definately better than the theatrical version most have seen.
panathatube - 8/2/2012, 11:05 AM
Epic!
CoolantTech - 8/2/2012, 11:18 AM

IIIAdamantiumIII - 8/2/2012, 5:21 PM
soooooo taking my dad to see this, he loves 80's action flicks
dormammu - 8/2/2012, 6:20 PM
i love these becouse you know what your getting, now every action movie trys to have a story and most just suck. explosions, guns, and fights. i was pissed that van damme(favorite acton star) wasnt in the first while arnold and willis only had cameos. all three with actual roles along with chuck, the only thing that would make this movie better would be if bruce lee came back from the dead or maybe a surprise twist at the end with jackie chan as the man pulling the strings using drunken boxing
Smallvillefan21 - 8/2/2012, 7:39 PM
Ok so who here is excited that our good friend Arnie is back??? :)
jonski22 - 8/3/2012, 1:41 AM
i'll gonna watch this in theater...JVD kicking again..awesome..reminds me of his old movies....Norris, Van Damme, Arnie, Bruce, Sly, Jet Li, Jason, Dolph..droollling!!!!!
