Singer Tweeted the following images from the new Jack The Giant Slayer trailer which he is busy getting ready to be screened with Rise Of The Guardians and The Hobbit. In addition to a new shot of Jack himself (Nicholas Hoult) we get our first real idea of what these pesky Giants will actually look like..

“Jack the Giant Slayer” tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittinglyopens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend–and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

Jack The Giant Slayer will hit theaters March 1st, 2013.

It could just be the low quality of the image or the fact that it is a picture of a video, but that giant doesn't look very believable to me. He looks very CG. Not impressive at all. I don't know why so many filmmakers feel the need to do everything computer generated instead of practical effects.

I take it the Giants are not used with practical effects...
superotherside - 11/13/2012, 8:07 PM

@Ror- that's what I was gonna say. Is that the Sandman?
Bartman87 - 11/13/2012, 8:45 PM
Did someone just write that the giant doesn't look "believable"?
ThaReaperAssassin - 11/13/2012, 8:58 PM
SPARTACUS RIDES AGAIN!!! HEAR YE HEAR YE !!!!!
EmoSpidey - 11/13/2012, 9:03 PM
@Bartman87 Come on now. You know exactly what I mean when I say that. Obviously, giants aren't real. No matter how "fantastic" a creature is in a movie, you want it to look like it actually fits into the world. And yes, everyone that read your comment thought you were very cool. No need to be a smarta$$ dude.
CaptainAmerica - 11/13/2012, 9:08 PM
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL yea, that's not what real world giants look like.

Another dark fairy tale movie, I cant wait. Singer is a good director that focus good story, acting and some good special effects. I enjoyed his Apt Pupil, Usual Suspect, Xmen, X2 and Superman returns. Valkyrie was good but we all know what was ending so it took me out of the suspense on what was about to happen. Also Tom Cruise was bad in that movie but overall Singer is still a good director in Hollywood.

With this movie being delayed due to the marketing focus in the summer because of The Dark Knight Rises, will just make the CGI even be better. Lets see what Singer can bring in this movie. Will it be a good movie, mediocre or bad. Financially Successful in the box office is different thing from doing a good movie to a bad movie.

I agree make up and some practical effects could be better and maybe even more realistic @AmpliDude
Joe6Pack74 - 11/13/2012, 11:02 PM
Why does the giant look like it has downs syndrome?
AmazingFantasy - 11/13/2012, 11:30 PM
