COMICS: First Full Preview Of Daniel Way And Steve Dillon's THUNDERBOLTS #1

We've seen some pencils already, but here is our first glimpse at 3 lettered, full color pages from one of the most highly anticipated Marvel NOW! books coming our way. There's also a Scottie Young variant cover, and some unlettered pages from the second issue too..

Red Hulk, Venom, Elektra, Deadpool, the Punisher. Forget the courts, the jails, the system — this team of Thunderbolts fights fire with fire, targeting the most dangerous and lethal players in the Marvel Universe with extreme prejudice. Led by General "Thunderbolt" Ross, AKA the Red Hulk, this hand-picked team of like-minded operatives is going to make the world a better place…by all means necessary.














Marvel's "Next Big Thing" conference call is currently underway, with series writer Daniel Way and editor Jordan D. White sharing some intriguing new details about the team - one such details being the revelation that we can expect a new female team member. Hmm. Not sure. I love Dillon's Punisher. It's pure brilliance. But the dude's work is a little static for a book like this.

I can not wait to read the Thunderbolts comics! It looks dark & gritty. (Which is cool) Great artwork too!

Can't wait. I kinda wish they had used the team from the Venom: Cricle of Four storyline with Danny Ketch as Ghost Rider. This looks cool.
@ - Thespiderman209 - cause Red and Black are the team colors I think. Like when Deadpool wore black and grey on X-force. Actually if he kept his color scheme red, black and white wouldbe the team colors.

@thespiderman209: I'm guessing it's red to match the rest of the team. Not sure why Venom is still in his Black and Whites though.

I hate Dillons art. Gonna put this off from my pull list. He totally ruined the incredible Hulk series for me...

I like Steve Dillon's art as a whole, but he does tend to overdo the the down-turned gob grimace! And a lot of his characters look too similar. Still, he did a phenomenal job on Preacher so I'm always willing to give his stuff a go.

I'll pick this one up. Who knows, maybe this will give me reason to start reading the Venom series everyone seems to enjoy.

Red Hulk looks way too lanky. Not a fan of the art at all so easy pass.

Wow there are some shiny judegmental douchebags here. The art is fine. Did someone even complain about Punisher's skull being red now? Mother f.ucker, so what?! What does it mater as long as he is still puniher. And roger'sson, you have got to be the whinest douche on here. Confirmed bachelor I assume since no chick would put up with a dude so whiny.

Skottie Young's cover literaly sum up what the new series will be about. I'm with SteveRogersSon on this one, I really hope this series fails after 5 issues, this is not what Thunderbolts it's suposse to be, this is just another shitty black ops team that have no reason to exist.

Excited for this, but I can't stand Dillon's art. A whole lot of same face in every single thing he draws. Even the chicks look like dudes.

Looking forward to this! I just never understand where his mustache goes when he turns into Rulk... It just subtracts back into his body ? Why ? He should have a mustache...

Preacher will forever be my favorite comic series so Dillon can do no wrong for me. I do agree though that atlof of his charectors look alike, His Punisher always reminds me of a short haired Jesse Custer.

only thing that is worrying me about this book is that Deadpool will be JUST comedic relief and not pull his weight on the team, same thing with reading uncanny X-force he was so underused and I hated it

Deadpool deserves to be restored to the Deadly Merc he was and I hope theres lots of images and panels like the one up top of him Killing people and helping out the team

Daniel Way knows and writes Deadpool better than anyone on the circuit.

But Dillon is [frick]ing terrible. Marvel NOW blows.

Ugh, I really don't like Dillon's pencils. I hope Punisher has some Rucka influence in him. I've never loved Punisher more than I do now because of Rucka.

I don't get why Dillon's still landing jobs, with that terrible, terrible art of his. His drawings are static, completely lacking any kind of detail... and so on, and so on. Yet he always gts to work with some of the greatest writers in the comic book industry. I frankly don't understand.
