"Wahhhh, why is Twilight on this site! WTF!!!"

It's making fun of it.

"Doesn't matter, WAHHHHHHHH"...commence.
HellsHammer - 11/22/2012, 1:53 PM
Had to see this with my girlfriend over the weekend. Hate the series as much as the next guy but I have seen A Lot worse. Never plan on seeing them again though unless alcohol is required.
themcdougalbugle - 11/22/2012, 1:58 PM

CaptainObvious - 11/22/2012, 2:06 PM
Knowing that the Twilight Saga is over is like going to the doctor's office and being told that the cancer that has long ravaged your body has gone into remission.
imnotahero - 11/22/2012, 2:16 PM
lmao at 8:00. That spit take.

NickKaseAKAthePieEATERxGETIT, if you took a helicopter ride you'd ask them to turn the fan off wouldn't ya?
StormLoganSummers - 11/22/2012, 3:14 PM
WTF? Why is this on here?
Ironnick - 11/22/2012, 3:25 PM
I know I'm gonna get shit for this like I did at school, but it was a good movie. When I say good, i mean i wasn't great, but alright for what it was. I thought the first half of the movie was pretty slow, but ok. But the second half of the movie was insane. I mean like extremly violent, for a pg-13 movie.
RorMachine - 11/22/2012, 3:46 PM
Yawn

@Ironnick@HellsHammer I went to the film with some close girls I hang with as they've went to stuff like Rocky Balboa and Rambo or Captain America with me.
I actually liked the film, not really a fan but I liked Pirates Of The Caribbean and Im not quite a fan.

Still you may get targeted by some of these "Little Boys" on this who have a low amount of Manhood that sits on thin Ice, therefore they fear 'Twilight' as IT IS INDEED a threat to their manhood.
Thankfully for some of us, we have enough certainty in our masculinity that we know we can see it and leave the Theater still a man.

But really, for you guys who have very little manhood, very little masculinity, stay away from 'Twilight' and make sure to rant against it here so NO ONE WILL SUSPECT your severe lacking. And if you go, your thin layer of manhood may melt away and you may leave the theater as a woman.

So go on and start the Anti-Pattinson, Anti-Lautner, Anti-Twilight stuff and no one will suspect how close to the edge of womanhood you really stand.
RorMachine - 11/22/2012, 4:14 PM
Hmmm. Interesting. Personally I don't like them because they are [frick]ing terrible movies.
RorMachine - 11/22/2012, 4:29 PM
This review is making fun of the movie..what part of that is giving you so much trouble?
ForceOfLegend - 11/22/2012, 4:36 PM
Ror is funny! Nearly pissed my pants laughing at his comeback post. Keep it up Ror!
blackster - 11/22/2012, 4:56 PM
LOL

this was funny as hell. thanks Ror, for this. I'd only heard of them, but seeing them in action they're pretty damn funny.

I guess I know how I'll be spending the weekend.
Thegeekygurl - 11/22/2012, 4:57 PM
Breaking Dawn 2 was really fun and entertaining. It succeeding at being the film it wanted to be. If guys go in hoping its going to be some hardcore Vampire thing with some sword fights and dudes in black leather theyre going to be letdown.
I see guys doing to people who like Potter or Twilight, the same crap thats done to those who like Trek, Star Wars and at one time superhero films. Critics love to pan genre stuff and claim "Its bad but the fans will like it" and thats the same reaction some guys have with films that are popular with kids or girls.
So some guys may get pissed when they hear people slam their movies just because they dont like a certain genre but the fanboys are guilty of the same thing.
Dev7 - 11/22/2012, 5:27 PM
Stupid [frick]ing article.
HeadPool420 - 11/22/2012, 5:41 PM
It's good to know this site is becoming a sellout. I cant go anywhere without Twilight thrown in my face.
DarthDan - 11/22/2012, 5:43 PM
Ror, I thought it was relevant and hysterical.

As for all of those who have an opinion of what doesn't belong; start writing articles or leave.
RorMachine - 11/22/2012, 5:53 PM
Thanks to all who actually bothered watching the vid and understand why I posted it!

Splenda, ha, well they like some stuff:)
Mugwamp - 11/22/2012, 6:12 PM
Why do so many people put so much effort into trying to convey that they hate this series more than anyone else? Who cares? It's not really my style of movie but some people like it and that's fine. Just like a tv show you don't like, don't watch it. And if you've never seen it and you have negative things to say about it, that doesn't make sense either. Me thinks thou dost protest too much. I have a feeling a lot of these surface haters are closet watchers of this series.
RorMachine - 11/22/2012, 6:23 PM
There is a misconception about the Twilight movies out there - defenders of the saga seem to think that they are hated so much because of their subject matter, because their target audience is a bunch of screaming teenage girls, and somehow because the movies are not aimed at a broader audience, those outside the demographic view them with contempt. Now while this may be true in some cases, I can tell you that there is one reason and one reason only that the Twilight saga is so despised.

They are terrible movies.

I should probably add an "in my opinion" after that right? Well no, I'm not going to. Obviously everyone likes different types of films, everyone has a different gauge on what they consider to be "good" or "bad", it's all subjective. But aren't there standards at the same time? We judge movies based on their story, the performances, the direction etc, and when every single one of these falls below that certain standard, sometime you just have to come out and say it - lots of people liking a movie doesn't make it good, it just means lots of people like a bad [frick]ing movie. And the latest installment - despite what you might have heard from critics - might just be the worst yet.

Yes, I saw it - under duress - but I saw it. It's awful. Everything about it, awful. NOTHING happens for two hours, aside from a bunch of bland characters standing around spouting laughable dialog, then when something finally doe happen at the end...it's a dream..sorry, "premonition".

To answer you question Mugwamp, it's because we want good movies. Demographic shmemographic..there are PLENTY of movies not aimed at me specifically that I enjoy, but while garbage like this keeps making boat loads of money, they are going to keep making lazy, banal, soulless films..and as a film fan, well that's not a good thing is it?
DrME - 11/22/2012, 7:01 PM
Nice one @Ror. Too bad Plinket didn't tear this crap apart.
blackster - 11/22/2012, 7:34 PM
Yeah, I'd like to second Ror's comments about why it matters that these films suck. And why we should be vocal about the hate.

Hollywood is a business. They put stuff out there every year, and see what sticks. Whatever sticks, they make more of it. Whatever doesn't stick, we see much less of it. The success of Avengers is leading to DC and Fox trying to start their own shared superhero universes. Films like Transformers lead to films like Battleship. Batman & Robin's failure (CRITICAL failure, it did make money), and then Batman Begins' success has lead to a string of reboots that take their source material more seriously as well as some misguided ones which just 'gritty' it up.

Anyways, my point is Hollywood is a bunch of monkey see monkey do. If we let the Twilight films slide by without completely trashing them, we will see a huge surge in those sort of films

When the first Twilight succeeded, there began an influx of Twilight-esque films (Beastly and all that crap), but Twilight was critically battered and nobody let the copycats gain any sort of steam. Now of course, Twilight maintained the audience it had already gained. But the incessant critiquing and stigmatizing of it prevented Hollywood churning out too many of them. I could say the exact same thing with Transformers' success and then Battleship's failure. But the point is made.

We NEED to hate on it, because it directly influences the product we'll get.

I wanna know if Archie #^(%#) Veronica yet?
Minato - 11/22/2012, 8:56 PM
Owlman
Hellz yea but the reviews will still be as mixed as they are now
GLprime2814 - 11/22/2012, 9:09 PM
Only commenting to voice my outrage that twatloght is being featured on here at all.
Ichaos - 11/22/2012, 10:16 PM
Only reason a guy should see this is to get layed. The only good thing about this is its the last one
ElGenerico - 11/22/2012, 11:14 PM
I think it was the best one in the series! Yeah I know they look gay and a lot a parts are cheesy but it's a bad ass story.
RorMachine - 11/23/2012, 1:56 AM
That's another thing - people assume girls/women just automatically like Twilight. My GF hates them, as does my sister and most of my female friends. Gender has nothing to do with it, people who like shitty movies like Twilight..full stop:)

Levitklutz, you're too late on the Jersey Shore one..I [posted an article on that already. But go ahead, post what you like. Just get hold of a dictionary first.
Ancar - 11/23/2012, 3:41 AM
Why the [frick] Twilight is here on CBM??? This is not a comic book adaptation - go to hell mother[frick]ers!
Mugwamp - 11/23/2012, 6:31 AM
@Ror - Fair enough. Thanks for posting that opinion. That's all I'm looking for in this forum is some cogent thought about why someone doesn't like something instead of comparing it to a grisly death, or the worst thing they've ever smelled.

This is a great place to get a lot of news but the comments by readers have really taken a dive into the unreadable. There is little actual discussion and so much, as you wrote, banal chatter. I certainly appreciate a well thought out critique. Nothing wrong at all with having a burning hatred for a film or its subject matter and on a forum like this opinions run the gamut. That's a good thing, but I sure would like to see the comments climb out of the underworld and embrace literacy.
Mugwamp - 11/23/2012, 6:34 AM
I have posted opinions about a lot of things on this forum and have been flame sprayed for them at times. That's okay with me, my point is whether you disagree with me or not, I always try to write about it in a way that explains why I do or do not like something. Hopefully that generates a good discussion even if you think I'm an idiot. :)
Stumblin - 11/23/2012, 8:56 AM
All I know is what happened at the very end of the last movie due to what my girlfriend told me. So basically in five movies not a [frick]ing thing happened. Thank god I didn't waste my time with this muff cabbage.
Stumblin - 11/23/2012, 8:57 AM
And I'm with Ror, even my girlfriend hated these movies. Though she enjoyed the books. She had to get drunk for this last installment.
TheMarvelWay - 11/23/2012, 1:13 PM
@geekycomicgurl I agree with what you said entirely, though I also believe some guys feel its an affirmation of their manhood to rant about virtually everything they perceive as "girlish".
We see this when guys rant to the point of obsession against every rock star or actor the girls like and with films like Twilight. The more girls like it the more guys focus on it.
I've never heard a single Bieber song or anything else hes done and 99.9% of the time Ive heard his name or have seen it, its because some guy is bitching about him or posting GIFs about him.
One thing you mentioned thats very important is that the film succeeded at being what it wanted to be. I watched it knowing full well the film wasn't about Vampires in black leather with swords or guns, which is one of the worst ideas ever, and its just a little people drama based on some books. So really, the film did not fail in its goal.
I can't say the same for The Dark Knight Rises or The Amazing Spider-Man. The question isnt are they better the other films like Avengers but: Were they the films the filmmakers tried to make? And for different reasons the answer is absolutely not. TDKR had plotholes and stepped in and out of realism whenever Nolan felt like it. And the movie had no laughs, or entertainment quality. Its only lure was in the curiosity about the ending.
Amazing Spider-Man failed miserably trying achieve its goal. Acting, casting, CGI, rehashed story and ideas right down to Spideys "Woooo!"
Every film has a different goal and the fact is, like it or not, the Twilight film series met its goal. That goal may not be what some guys want but as you can see, the film will survive.
And I can say that because I could not care less than I already do, if someone agrees or not.
maito - 11/23/2012, 5:05 PM
OK. I accept that Twilight has a place in this site coz it has been serialized as a graphic novel. But WHY is it in the Horror Section?

Why???!

May I suggest the creation of a Shojo Section where all this young adult female thematic can go?
