FAN MADE: Scandinavian Short-Film LOGAN

Have a look at this impressive short from Swedish filmmakers André Hedetoft and Andreas Climent, who describe it as "a dark Scandinavian spin on the origin of Wolverine." It stars Wallander's Tobias Nilsson and is well worth a watch..

We are two filmmakers from Malmö, Sweden. Our shared interest in making movies grew out of the geek culture we absorbed growing up. We got to know each other five years ago on a film shoot and became friends. Without knowing it, we had grown up at the same place, gone to the same schools and shared a childhood that through different paths had taken us to the same place. We decided to make something together.
This is the result.

We’re huge fans of the character Wolverine and as an exercise we just wanted to make our own scandinavian spin on his origin story together with our friends. This is a non-profit fan film made by fans for fans. It is in no way affiliated with Marvel Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox or The Walt Disney Company. All characters inspiring the film, and their likeness, belong to their respective owners.
Please don’t sue us. We’re already broke.

OK I guess. Not bad for a fan film, the interrogator was good.
KarlRobinofEarth2 - 1/8/2013, 3:12 PM
Ok... It was... Ok.

Not bad at all, I felt some genuine tension there.

I never thought I would see a Wolverine movie that I liked less than origins. 0 out of 5 stars. Stick to meatballs those are good.

All build up and no pay off...lame. I'm ready for the short and stocky version of Wolvie to be done right. Tired of lanky, sinewy actors portraying a tough little runt of muscle.
ComfortablyNumb - 1/8/2013, 5:51 PM
Weak.

Obviously the guy doesn't look the part, but who cares? Well made.

If Marvel/Disney ever owned the rights to all the marvel characters the best opening of the second xmen film would be this.
Close up to a man with black hair of the back of his head kneeling down examining large foot prints in the snow of what looks like the winter canadian wilderness this mans uniform which is worn and torn yellowish beige in color with splashes of blood red with a cowl down below the neck.

Clearly wolverines uniform traditional top but military pants and boots. You hear the sounds of him sniffing the air and you hear a sarcastic a grunt. Cut to a loud animalistic roar and birds flying frantically away from the trees. The figure rises to his feet pulls up his cowl and begins to run with intense speed and an over the shoulder shot of him running towards what looks like the horizon only to see its a cliff.

We see this figure jump off the cliff. Cut to a green hulking creatures eyes that are looking up in rage only to cut back to this falling figures upper body to see him unsheathe three claws from each hand and point his claws down in a pouncing motion only to hear the wind from his fall and the sound of the snikt. He lands on the monster and all you hear is roars from each figure then cut to black.
Thats how I would make my first scene of wolverine in the second Xmen film before Xavier goes to Canada to recruit one of his new xmen. Total dream but its more creative then this crap.

So what was the origin part about this? Except that he obviously doesn't have his adamantium skeleton yet, there is literally nothing about his origin story here.
AnungUnRama - 1/9/2013, 2:48 AM
Beside that: Well done for a fan film, but still somhow pointless. Why is he even there, what do they want from him (beside his name) and as fettastic@ already asked why does Logan let them torture him when he could escape any time?

Thanks for all the comments guys. Glad some of you liked the film, but understand why some of you don't. We're working on new films and will listen to all the feedback and make sure the next ones are better! =)

Yossarian's comment is awesome. If I knew we'd be rewarded with gifs of pretty girls, we would have made a short about Wolverine a lot sooner! ;-)

good on you guys for having a crack at it!
KNIGHT3000 - 1/9/2013, 7:32 AM
Ok..... That showed nothing at all, I guess it was a good idea... but poorly executed. Kinda like jerking off to Baywatch, not worth it with real porn out there...
pepe - 1/9/2013, 9:28 AM
Why put up sh*t like this? I waisted time on watching it... It was depresingly bad!!!!
... Still it was better than Singers X-flicks all together...
