Is Dane DeHaan Playing Green Goblin In THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2?

This could be something, could be nothing. The actor doesn't say too much about his role as Harry Osborn in the sequel, but someone else might just have dropped a major spoiler about his character for him! Read on to see what you make of it..

Hitfix caught up with Chronicle actor Dane DeHann (who will play Harry Osborn in Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man sequel) at the premiere of his new movie, Kill Your Darlings. The video above doesn't reveal much: DeHann would seem to confirm that we can expect some type of love triangle in the movie but even that's a little sketchy, and it's to be expected anyway. The interesting stuff isn't recorded, but Hitfix report that afterwards Kill Your Darlings director John Krokidas introduced DeHann by saying "he's the Green Goblin". Apparently DeHann just smiled, but it didn't appear as if Krokidas was joking. Is it possible that Webb will make Harry the original Green Goblin, bypassing his father Norman? Obviously in the comics the character does eventually go bad and "Goblin up", but I think most people expected Harry to play more of a heroic role in this movie - as James Franco did in Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man - with Jaime Foxx's Electro on villain duties. Like I said, might be something, might be nothing, but it's worth the speculation!

Maybe they'll do something similar to when Norman framed Harry in the Spectacular Spider-man. That would actually be pretty cool in my opinion.

I could maybe see this working out. Maybe Norman experiments with his own son to see what would happen and he becomes the goblin. Then seeing the power his son has, he becomes the Goblin. That could show how sick and twisted Norman is.

But it probably wont. And Im guessing it was nothing. Norman as Goblin? Sure. Harry as Goblin? Too soon for my tastes.

So Harry will become the Green Goblin then he kill Gwen Stacy but Peter won't know who's the GG then Norman will become the Goblin to take the blame on him.

I don't know what to feel about that.

Great: we might have a new goblin problem... Lets hope they misdirect us like TSSM did, and I do suspect a sinister six set up, let's hope they don't waste 5 movies trying to set it up.

I'm thinking that if the rumor IS true, it'll be Norman making it look like Harry is the Goblin so that he can lead Peter off of his trail, a la Spectacular Spider-Man.

No.. I'm pretty sure Harry will be involved somehow with Gobby considering he's his son. I'm pretty sure Kyle Massee is already playing Norman/Green Goblin. Although Dane and Kyle do look a lot alike. I can definitely see father and son between them!

Obviously, its a joke or a reference to the future. It would make no sense to skip Norman if he's already an integral part of the franchise.

I think Dane DeHaan is the perfect choice for Harry Osborn in the new movies.

I highly doubt he'll become the Green Goblin in TASM2. I think the director of his other movie was just joking around.

He probably will become the second Green Goblin later in the series though. It doesn't make any sense for Harry to become him, before Norman does. His father is dying, and I'm assuming when Norman gives himself treatments to save his life, he ends up becoming the Green Goblin.

Norman definitely needs to be GG first. But howabout we forget GG for a moment and save him later.

I would love to see Hobgoblin, Electro, Morbius or Carnage causing trouble for Osborn´s company.
