Hawkeye To Guest Star On ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN

The Disney XD Spidey toon may have its share of critics, but it's still going and the ratings are strong. The Sunday's episode sees S.H.I.E.L.D draft in Marvel's resident archer to watch Spider-Man's back. Check out a clip of February 10th's "Hawkeye" after the jump..

"Spider-Man is in a lot of trouble and S.H.I.E.L.D. brings in Hawkeye to sort of act as his bodyguard and then it just goes awry," says Marvel Entertainment's head of television Jeph Loeb in an interview with TV Guide. "We looked at those '80s movies with two guys who should never be partners, like Lethal Weapon, and that's what you get with Spider-Man and Hawkeye as they go up against a major super villain [The Beetle]. They may kill each other before they stop the guy."

Hawkeye will be voiced by Troy Baker, who will also voice the character in another upcoming Marvel cartoon series, Avengers Assemble. Ultimate Spider-Man airs Sundays at 11am/10c on Disney XD.

Could this be a hint that Spidey is gonna be introduced to.the MCU? I mean, even Agent Coulson is in this series, and introducing Hawkeye seems to be hinting at that, in my eyes at least.

Maybe im just over reaching.
KeefNCookies - 1/30/2013, 12:23 PM
Ah, the series that continues to be complete garbage...

@MrYurMomm
Yes, you are over reaching.

Insert generic "who cares? show sucks! bring spectacular spidey back" comment here.
RorMachine - 1/30/2013, 12:40 PM
I can't even watch the vid myself! By the way, if anyone can find me a clearer thumbnail of Hawkeye from this ep I'd be very grateful!

I actually didnt care much for Spectacular. The animation style hurt my eyes too much (super freaking ugly), plus I never really thought Ultimate Spider-Man (comic) was even that great of a comic but it was nice how Spectacular was pretty much a faithful adaptation of USM storywise and the show that shares the title is nowhere near close.

Judging a show based on "it's not the previous show" is stupid. Judging on the source material is fair. Judging it on the show itself for what it is makes sense. Based on the last two, this show sucks but I will give it up for the smooth animation style. Still not enough to enjoy it at all though.

THE WORST ANIMATED TV SHOOWWW!!! ON TV, I CANT BELIEVE THEY CANCLED YOUNG JUSTICE, CANCLED AVENGERS EARTHS MIGHTIEST HEROES, & TRON BUT THIS IS STILL GOING STRONG!!!! TERRIBLE!!
BigK1337 - 1/30/2013, 2:46 PM
@novaprime
Wait, Young Justice is a Disney XD show? Than again the better question is: Young Justice is officially off the air? I know the news of that show and GL being cancelled is official, but as of now new episode are still being aired and not stopped abrutedly in the middle when things are getting good. Also, isn't it coincidental that another non-Transformers show featuring Josh Keaton is cancelled after 2 seasons featuring 26 episodes (not sure if Green Lantern will end at 26 or not).

. . . . Anyway typical response of show being shit aside, I am very much interested in this episode. Mostly because of the fact Avengers team up episodes in the is show are usually good and it is featuring Hawkeye. Sooo, yeah. Here comes the angry response for my opinionated comment.

Awesome! Can't wait to see it :)

Why do people hate this show again? I've seen all the episodes and I usually get a chuckle once or twice and episode. Plus the storyline is great, whether it be just a one episode story or a few weeks worth. Did anyone watch the last episode with The Rhino? so much awesome story content, how can you hate it?
mkilban2 - 1/30/2013, 3:15 PM
remember, it's a show for children that is showing teamwork, and manners, and all that good stuff to teach kids, as well as introducing them to the Marvel world.. why be mad, if you don't like it, don't watch it and don't come here and comment on it negatively.
StarSpangledBruce - 1/30/2013, 3:17 PM
@RorMachine

StarSpangledBruce - 1/30/2013, 3:17 PM
Even I don't like the "it's for kids" excuse. Just sayin'.

@KeefnCookies

Part of judgement is comparison. We're comparing two shows, and saying that one is superior to the other. Spectacular is way better than Ultimate.

In an alternate universe.., Evans could've been Hawkeye and Renner would have been a great rugged "apple box" Captain America. Think "apple box/shoe riser" RDJ. Fun to speculate.., but Evans is Cap.
PerlaB4 - 1/31/2013, 3:25 AM
NOOOOO! NOT HAWKEYE! LEAVE HIM THE [frick] ALONE!
Hexagram - 1/31/2013, 5:35 AM
Oh dude.., you mad? :-P That was just clearly a theory and not a stab. Who is lurking behind those accounts? Yes, from RDJ, to the alien Cruise.., you'd be surprised! Renner kicks ass, but he kicks "shorty-ass." :-P "Shorty-ass?" Lifts and Apple boxes.., that could be the name of RDJ's autobiography.
