Poll Question: What do you think of this interpretation of Bane?

I think it looks awesome, very Nolanish.

It looks amazing, and I think that's the biggest I've ever seen Tom Hardy!

Its def a Nolan take on Bane. I think they should somehow stick to Banes comicbook style mask. Hardy is looking big though...like he def bulked up.

And if the rumours about his origin and "powers" are true then it looks like Nolan has raped another awesome Batman villain (the first one being Two-Face).

Two-Face was always a cool, calculating villain who had to battle with his own demons. He would be able to manipulate others (including other main villains) into doing his deeds.

In TDK he's just a good guy who gets turned into a bad guy. He doesn't do anything which makes him the awesome Two-Face we see in the comics. He just kidnaps a family and takes revenge on some people. But it's done in a way which doesn't come off as his true character. He just seems like some other bad guy, used just as a pawn.

I love this look but a better picture of his mask would be nice.

Too early to tell. Just need to see how he's done in the film to make a real call on him.

I put Awesome, but I feel we need to see more to truly judge.

The "couldn't be better" choice is sort of a loaded answer because obviously this isn't the finished product. He's not gonna run around the entire movie with his shirt off. I think this mask is great though, it's similar to the comics, but different in that it'll give Hardy more facetime onscreen.

Please, please let him have super strength!

I like it as a first picture but want to see more and as for those who dont like it or say Nolan doesnt care about comics lets all remember Batman And Robin and the campy Bane yes the guy was big but they made Bane a retard Nolan is making him what he is in the comics an assasin.

it's not exactly like the comics, but with what they're trying to do with these films, i think it'll work. i imagine they're gonna try and play on the dramatic back story of bane, and it'd be hard to feel sorry for him if you can't see the dude's eyes. but that's just my two cents. if i had my way with these movies, i'd barely change a thing. but not all changes are bad. the joker's chelsea grin in TDK is now a commonly used element in current versions of the joker and spider-man's organic web shooters made you wonder why he never had them in the first place. you just gotta be positive! haha

all the haters remember this is just one movies version of Bane, you really want to go back to the batman and robin bane?
A movie is not a comic and never will be. They are two completely differnt things.
The bane from the comics is still there on the pages for you to jack off to, happy reading boys :)

i love the mask, i don't care what anyone says.. Its diffrent, and thats why we all love these nolan batmans, because there similar, but diffrent... It worked with Joker and Scarewcrow and Two-Face, so i'm not to worried about Bane, and from the first pic, i'm really not worried..

I am extremely depressed that this jumped up Mexican wrestler was chosen as a "villain" for the latest movie. There are so many interesting, compelling characters in the Batman oeuvre and we get the DC version of Mark McGwire.
Bane is the character that ruined the Batman titles for me. Batman, the man who, over the years, has faced alien invasion, vampires on the scale of Dracula, an international league of assassins led by an immortal, and the joker, is brought down by an escapee of the WWE.
It was at that point I decided they had lost all interest and were just knocking out tripe to fill the issues.

I like it, it fits with Nolan's world

@degrance i don't think you're giving bane the credit he deserves. his backstory, motivation, and character are just a LITTLE bit more complex than being "an escapee from the WWE."

First of all, big Batman hater here, HOWEVER, I find Nolan's vision higly entertaining and worthy of praise. "Batman Begins" was Ok, "Joker" errrr I mean "The Dark Knight" was awesome (mainly because of Ledger and Eckhart) so all I can say is Nolan hasn't dissapointed so far, I mean, he got me into a theater to watch two movies about a character I despise and not only that but he made me enjoy it. Give the man some credit and trust him, Bane is so lame anything looks like an improvement, in the hands of Nolan, he could be a memorable villain.

It could just be the early version of Bane, like when he's trying the Venom for the first time. Maybe we'll see a different version of him when he becomes the Bane we all know. The whole point of Bane wearing the mask is because of the whole luchador thing.
