Iron Man with Spiderman 2 second. Dont care for the rest.

ACira - 11/11/2011, 9:49 AM
I voted Iron Man. TDK is the best movie on the list, no questions, but I don't class it as a CBM really, it's too realistic compared to the comics to be considered a true CBM. I also prefer (or at least class on a par with Iron Man) X-Men First Class, but it's not faithful enough to be a complete CBM.
I liked Sin City and Spider-Man 2 very much though, and there's really not much in it with this list; this is indeed the cream of the crop of CBMs.
deadpoolbeatsall - 11/11/2011, 10:02 AM

TheHardGospel - 11/11/2011, 10:03 AM

1. TDK
2. Iron Man
3. Spider-Man 2
4. X-Men: First Class

haven't seen Sin City
Canuck - 11/11/2011, 10:12 AM
Why is The Watchmen not on this list? TDK was the first and only comic book movie ever to be nominated for best picture at the Oscars. TDk also won and was nominated for a long list of awards and accolades related to all the players involved with TDK.

Don't get me wrong, TDK is an amazing movie, but what happened to Watchmen? Superman The Movie? Superman II? Batman Begins? Thor? X2?

Kinda limited on the choices here.

I voted TDK, I would have voted Superman II if it had been there.
KalEl84 - 11/11/2011, 10:49 AM
1.) Superman: The Movie
2.) Batman Begins
3.) The Dark Knight
4.) Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut
5.) Spider-Man 2
6.) Iron Man
7.) Spider-Man

Look, without 'Superman: The Movie', I firmly believe we'd still be in the very early stages of comic books on the big screen. That movie set the standard for all comic book movies to come...whether you like Donner or not. I know some of you think they're overrated, but Nolans Batman films some of the closest to the source material that I've ever seen and that cannot be denied. Superman II(both cuts) gave us an idea of what Superman can truly do and in that sense, it again set a standard. The first two Spider-Man films were brilliantly cast in my opinion. Granted, Peter could've been a bit more comical during his fights like in the comics, but I thought they were great. 'Iron Man' took a once relatively lackluster character in the Marvel universe and turned him into a superstar. It was nicely written and brilliantly executed. Agree or disagree, that's my take.
AGENTJAY1130 - 11/11/2011, 10:55 AM
OUT OF THESE CHOICES IRON MAN WAS ON POINT!! TDK WAS GOOD BUT I DONT THINK IT WAS THE BEST!!! I STILL CAN NOT GET OVER THE BAT MOBIL.......ITS WAS JUST NOT SLEEK ENOUGH TO BULKY AND HE HAD TO MANY PEOPLE HELPING HIM!! IN TDK THE JOKER WAS THE BEST THING ABOUT IT!!
AlanWarlock - 11/11/2011, 11:03 AM
"Spider-Man 2" had the best direction, characterization, and performances. Way too many Nolan geeks on this site skewing the vote.
brewtownpsych - 11/11/2011, 11:12 AM
1. TDK
2. Batman Begins
3. X2
4. Iron Man
5. X-Men
6. The Watchmen
7. Hellboy 2
8. Superman The Movie
9. X-Men FC
10. Superman II
brewtownpsych - 11/11/2011, 11:15 AM
Why doesn't X2 get any love. That movie is great - there's like 20 different character subplots going @ once and they all have a payoff.
Coldblood6 - 11/11/2011, 11:20 AM
1: IRON MAN
2: X2
3: Spiderman 2
4: CAPTAIN AMERICA: TFA
5: X-MEN: Fisrt Class
TheRageNetwork - 11/11/2011, 11:20 AM
im not a big nolan fan but i had to vote on tdk, it took me 5 minutes to decide. iron man was pretty good but the one scene that always puts me off is where iron man hits iron monger but he has lost one of his gloves, that scene would of been perfect if he had his glove on which always niggles at me. also given a choice between the joker character (not nessarilly played by heath ledger) or iron man, the joker would win everytime, his fractured mind is always a joy (re-read the killing joke). i also took into account the soundtracks and hans zimmer won that for tdk. i also liked the batpod exploding out of the bat tumbler. so thats my views, agree or dis-agree?
Coldblood6 - 11/11/2011, 11:21 AM
@ canuck

tdk was not nominated for Best Picture Academy award.
TheRageNetwork - 11/11/2011, 11:27 AM
one of my favorite movies will always be tim burtons batman and batman returns
Spidey91 - 11/11/2011, 11:29 AM
Iron Man baby!
SM2 is a close second, then TDK and XFC,then Sin City

btw,why isn't X2 on the list? o_O
PaulRom - 11/11/2011, 11:34 AM
Dude, Iron Man's winning? O_O
TequilaMan - 11/11/2011, 11:40 AM
Watchmen. And I can't belive Iron Man is winning
Spidey91 - 11/11/2011, 11:44 AM
Iron Man is winning?
God Nolan,forgive them,they don't know what they're doing :P
Moonwalker1991 - 11/11/2011, 11:47 AM
Easily TDK, though all of them have their moments
write33 - 11/11/2011, 12:25 PM
i question Superman being off this list, but! ok. it's TDK and really it's not close. Iron Man is a great great movie sure, but TDK is a classic film that goes beyond it's genre, similar to Godfather.
Comix - 11/11/2011, 12:36 PM
yeah tdk was less of a real comic book movie and more of a cop/drama thriller, but was still a good movie. My vote.....Iron Man!!
Fastestmanalive - 11/11/2011, 12:42 PM
These are all great but since I HAD to choose one I voted for Spider man 2
Godzillafart - 11/11/2011, 12:50 PM
I surprised myself by picking Iron Man. Although TDK is fantastic, it will always have the problem that the lead role was miscast, and character development for Batman/Wayne was not good.

Iron Man is damn near flawless, outside of the final fight that had some problems.
SolidSnake007 - 11/11/2011, 12:58 PM
TDK..... Only reason this movie did as well as it did was because Heath Ledger died. There. Sin City is the best CBM ever made. Almost straight from the comics to life. That being said why isn't V for Vendetta on this list?
PoPcornDude - 11/11/2011, 1:05 PM
those are not all of them, the list should be like this:

Spiderman 2
Iron Man
X-Men First Class
Batman Begins
captain america
X-2
A History of Violence
TinyBirdcage - 11/11/2011, 1:15 PM
How the hell is Iron Man winning? That movie has no effect at all. Plus it's Marvel!
Clothwarrior - 11/11/2011, 1:25 PM
TDK was not a superhero movie, it was a Villain movie. Without the Joker, it would've been shit like the first one, and like TDKR will be, I think everybody knows TDKR is gonna suck, but most people are too scared to admit it.

Spiderman 2 was good, but i hated Tobey McGuire as spiderman.

Iron Man is by far the top of the choices we are given.
Gusto - 11/11/2011, 1:26 PM
You're all morons...Batman Begins!
Godzillafart - 11/11/2011, 1:29 PM
Top 10 just focusing on super hero comics (No “History of Violence” etc)

Iron Man
Superman 1&2
The Dark Knight
X-men 2
X-men First class
Blade
Spider-man 2
Captain America
Thor
The Incredible Hulk
TinyBirdcage - 11/11/2011, 1:30 PM
Cloth,
Everybody knows? You shouldn't speak in absolutes. Just because you think something looks cool or because Robert Downey is cool doesn't mean it's the best CBM of all time.
Godzillafart - 11/11/2011, 1:39 PM
@TinyBirdcage: Not only is Downey cool, but he was perfectly cast as IM. Also, IM took a B-Grade character and made a A+ story out of it.

Nolan's Batman movies are great, but Bale is horribly miscast, and the character has yet to be developed in any sophisticated way.
SeanTwisted - 11/11/2011, 1:47 PM
Iron man ftw. TDK was phenomenal, too, But. I like to piss off the nolanites.
TinyBirdcage - 11/11/2011, 2:04 PM
@fart
What movie had a bigger effect on you. Which movie yelled out, this man is trying his hardest and sacrificing the most to protect his people. That's what a comic book superhero is right? The Iron Man movies are unbalanced with comedy and coolness put above the hero aspect. Those need to be evened out. & don't say Bale is horribly miscast after he won an award for being the best at performing other characters. How can you say Nolan's batman movies are great if the main character, who has his name in the title, has yet to be developed? Chris Nolan's Batman movies are great because Batman is developed, but only not fully because the series hasn't ended yet. We still have TDKR.
gamecreatorjj - 11/11/2011, 2:05 PM
why do you think there are so many 'nolanites' because he makes good films, the 'marvel fanboys' are around because the marvel films are entertaining, i f nolan made bad or over rated films, then critics wouldnt be agreeing with the fans
PirateOpossum - 11/11/2011, 2:05 PM
None of the live-action movies that have been released can be called "The Best Comic-Book movie" ... but IN MY OPINION these are my favorites

1. The Incredible Hulk
2. Captain America : TFA
3. Thor
4. Iron Man & IM2
5. Batman Begins
6. Green Lantern
7. V For Vendetta
8. Ghost Rider

there are a few others.. that I like .. but none of these are the best.

now .. the ones I think are the worst are:
1 Singer's X-Men
2. X-2
3. X3: The Last Stand
4. X-Men origins: Wolverine
5. X-Men: First Class
6. The Dark Knight
7. Super Man Returns
8. Spider-Man
9. Spider-Man 2
10. Spider-Man 3
marvel72 - 11/11/2011, 2:06 PM

MaddMonkk - 11/11/2011, 2:10 PM
Go trudey!
SamHell - 11/11/2011, 2:17 PM
Kinda of a shit list
TinyBirdcage - 11/11/2011, 2:40 PM
My Top 5
1. The Dark Knight
2.Watchmen(the most human and real a superhero movie has gotten for me personally if you are immune to the nudity and understand why Dr. Manhattan thought much like an Adam and Eve before they ate the fruit. He wasn't ashamed or didn't have to hide, because that's who he was. Unless others would be stumbled by the nudity. That's the only time he would cover up.)
3.Batman Begins
4.Superman Returns( it was good for what it was, a romance, and the point of view of Superman being much like a god.)
5.The Hulk( Eric Bana may not be a good Bruce Banner, but the movie reached to me on a personal level. Because of the psychological warfare between father and son, and the remembrance of his once loving father and loving mother, that was lost, being seen through the beauty of the desert.)

In my opinion, the least favorite 5
1.Conan the Barbarian
2.X-Men 2
3.X-Men Origins
4.Spider-man 2
5.Green Lantern
OptimusBurgundyMaximus - 11/11/2011, 4:04 PM
