It was good. Nothing special but definitely better than a lot of people are saying. I would watch a sequel.

Meh. Not terrible but I can totally see why it didn't do better BO. Not much interest in a sequel.

A $250 Million turkey. Hated it, and I'm glad a sequel won't see the light of day.

Is it just me, or are CBM members harsher when reviewing superhero movies?

Go to the movies, guys - in IMax 3D. This movie deserves too much!!!

Just got back from the cinema, thought it was very entertaining. Surprising as i thought i'd leave disappointed after reading a lot of bad reviews. Maybe people are looking too into it and forgetting what it really is...your basic popcorn blockbuster sci-fi, with a decent plot, and big budget action scenes. However not a fan of the 3D post conversion, stick with 3D cameras if you're gonna release it in this format. Other than that, only 1 complaint, worth a watch i'd say and would like a sequel!

Was mildly curious, but didn't realize I wanted a sequel until I saw it. It was great! Now I'm crushed that a sequel is unlikely.

While I wasn't cheering when leaving the theatre, I really hope they can finish the trilogy, for no other reason than to tie up the whole convoluted plot they started, since they chose NOT to go with the narrative given them by ERB. For Issus's sake, they ought to have enough stock Thark footage by now to decrease the budget for #2 by at least 75%.

It is doing very well overseas and has yet to open in the huge markets of China and Japan. And the word-of-mouth is excellent, so things could still pick up nicely here in the US.

I thought it was a little better than just good, the entire group I went with enjoyed the movie, about 9 people, teens to forties, men and women. Just a Good all around movie. Im trying to find the books on audio now. Ive never read them, but I will now.

Its [frick]ing great! Dont listen to the snobby ass critics.Everything they complain about is explained in the beginning an through out the movie there just to stupid to catch on.

John Carter should be called John Carter, Warlord of Mars.

I felt that this movie was bogged down with so many stuff. Therns, magic crystal, nephew reading the story, ... in an attempt to make it 'smart', 'relevant', etc.

Plus, it had what made Return of the King awful, that looong ending and story of Sam getting married and writing, which was distracting and made you forget what happened before, ...likewise with John Carter, ...that ending just distracted me and made me forget what gone on before.
