Very good. Some great new shots, story is starting to become a little clearer.
1,437 Votes (10.97%)
Decent, but I expected more. This movie should be aiming for a masterpiece and the final trailer should have reflected that.
743 Votes (5.67%)
Bit rubbish really. Boring, not enough focus on Batman, and that last line? Ugh.

Screw the Nolanites, Avengers Assemble!

Looking forward to it, but it's not the movies fault i've just never liked cat woman myself.
TrollHunter - 5/1/2012, 8:33 AM
Glad to see the "Incredible" option is blowing away all the others right now. This trailer was brilliant.
thedisabledcubicle - 5/1/2012, 8:36 AM
I've always preferred BB to TDK, and was beginning to feel let-down by TDKR. But it looks better than it ever has at the moment.
It might not be as good as BB in my book, but it should stand alongside TDK comfortably.
CCWGGuy - 5/1/2012, 8:37 AM
It was very subtle and subdued, a lot less action and intensity then I thought it would have. I am however happy that it is more personal and poignant. The story is clearer and you can tell this will be the most physically and emotionally exhausting battle for Bruce Wayne/Batman to date.
SigmaCenturion - 5/1/2012, 8:40 AM
Bit rubbish. For a movie about Batman sure do see less of him compared to the other characters.
GOTG - 5/1/2012, 8:46 AM
screw this...AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!
DennisW22 - 5/1/2012, 8:48 AM
underwhelming for sure. cat woman just seems thrown in there. I'm sure i'll love this movie but nothing in the trailer made me go "whoa!", closest was the bridges blowing up. Too much JGL. not enough about the impossible challenge in front of batman, this more seemed to focus on Bane's challenge of breaking gotham's spirit.

here's to hoping for a new trailer before the release! and to this movie (hopefully) being amazing!
GOTG - 5/1/2012, 8:55 AM
@DennisW22 heres hoping to this movie failing, and forcing WB to try out other new properties instead of milking crappy superman and batman, which are just cheap rip-offs of marvel characters,e.g Iron Man and Thor
Rulk - 5/1/2012, 9:05 AM
A little underwhelming, but I hope it's awesome. We don't need another Spider-Man 3 on our hands
Chaplin - 5/1/2012, 9:08 AM
Sorry to burst your bubble, DE4DPOOL. Superman and Batman are the fathers of comic book superheroes. Supes was created in '38 and The Batman in '39.....
40oz - 5/1/2012, 9:09 AM
@chaplin, thank u. Was trying to login, but you took the words right out of my mouth.
Chaplin - 5/1/2012, 9:12 AM
Hahaha, i know what you mean! It's not a crime not to know those facts, naturally. But if you claim something, at least get the facts right
marvelmaniaco - 5/1/2012, 9:13 AM
I can't wait for this film will be amazing!!! Catwoman and batman fighting together looks amazing I love it when superheroes fight together in a movie it takes it to that next level!!! Bane to me is perfect!!! Could be bigger but I'm a big fan of Tom hardy and I think banes voice is unique and different and he will be a new kind of villain that people will love!!! But no one will ever replace Heath ledger god rest his soul!!! He made the joker for me!!!
thewolfx - 5/1/2012, 9:14 AM
deadpool wtf are you smoking son

superman is the basis of all superheroes with power

batman the basis of all the vigilantes

as much as i hate nolanites batman deserves respect in that aspect
blazin201 - 5/1/2012, 9:15 AM
i watched the trailer 3 times and still doesnt excite me or feel epic. i dont know whats so incredible and amazing about this trailer i didnt see anything cool or original and catwoman just seems forced and cheesey. i got the feeling its going to be a 3 hr soap opera with some explosions and a few fight scenes.
antonio - 5/1/2012, 9:15 AM
Phenominal trailer. Once again, the trailer focuses heavily on tone and that is what makes the trailer soooooo effective. And to those who say "it didn't show enough great footage".....you clearly never seen a trailer for a Christopher Nolan film. His trailers are very spoiler-light.

Marvel tends to over do it and we already know half the film before actually seeing it.
Chaplin - 5/1/2012, 9:17 AM
Exactly antonio! Nolan is known for showing just enough of the film in the trailer to get excited and not spoil it! Remember Thor's trailer! As great as that was, it spoiled all but the final two scenes of the film! And the climax in the Avengers was partially revealed in one of the trailers, so it made less of an impact to me while watching it in the cinema
shiverman20 - 5/1/2012, 9:22 AM
It looks awesome and I also felt like it held back quite a lot, just like The Avengers trailer did.. this is gonna be fantastic. Not that I needed to be sold on it any further, I'll be handing my dish over quite willingly for this.
capMO - 5/1/2012, 9:22 AM
decent trailer, at its best honestly.. still think its gonna be a great movie though
shiverman20 - 5/1/2012, 9:23 AM
^^ DOSH! but they have my dish if they want
marantaz - 5/1/2012, 9:32 AM
I was bored. It was dull.

I never saw TDK until it came to cable cuz I'm not a big Bat fan, and I found the hype over Ledger to be distasteful, since he was dead; Bale is the best Batman so far, tho he's a jerk in real life; Ledger stole that movie, obviously, but that's easy when you just act crazy... Jack Nicholson's proven that time and time again. I found the TDK story to be implausable and impossible... Nolan threw everything in to keep it going, and it just got to be a bit silly.

This trailer makes TDKR look somber, depressing and hopeless... that's probably not a good image to present to people who are already depressed by the state of things in real life.
Catwoman. Really? Again? How many are there now? 5? Merriweather, Kitt, Pfeiffer, Berry, and now this one? Can anyone say 'redundant'? I think most people will wonder why they should pay to see that story again.
Bane looks wimpish. Puny human type. Ledger's Joker was menacing, Bane looks like a pale imitation, no menace except for a mask that doesn't make me want to know why he wears it. Does Nolan again expect to get away with not telling you his background story, what motivates him to do evil? The trailer offers nothing on Bane.
Not impressed at all.

I find it hilarious when people try to give deeper meaning to a trailer with comments like it will be 'poignant', 'emotionally exhausting', ... it's a CBM, not 'Casablanca'. (that's not to say I expect less of a CBM, I simply won't lie to myself that a CBM is more than what it's intended to be...) The arrogance of fanboys knows no bounds.

Perhaps Nolan wants to keep the action under wraps, for reasons only he knows, but this trailer does nothing for me, and a trailer should at least make people who aren't fanboys interested in seeing the film.
darkseidpawns - 5/1/2012, 9:43 AM
@DE4DP00L

Those drugs must be good, but then I've found most of Deadpool fans to be as stupid as the character itself.

@marantaz
So you expect Nolan to just handover Bane's backstory to you in a trailer?perhaps you have been spoiled by the mini movies calling themselves trailers. This was EXACTLY what a trailer should be like.
Chaplin - 5/1/2012, 9:49 AM
marantaz..... Just because a character has been used in the past, doesn't mean there is no need for that character in the future. Besides! Berry's catwoman has no place in that list of yours since she is in no way connected to the Batman universe. How do you know Bane wont get a backstory? Because the Joker didnt? Nolan had a reason for not giving the Joker a back story, but that doesnt apply to Bane. Yes people go to films fore escapism, but that doesnt mean that a film can't be, at times, depressing. Films aren't only for those who feel depressed, you know. and how could it not be dark and moody?! The Batman is the subject of a massive manhunt and on top of that, he has to face a meticulous, strategic, muscled and brlliant mastermind!

You don't have to like it but don't knock it without having seen the finished product.

And regarding that Casablanca comment. Just because its a CBM doesn't mean it can't be deeper and more complex. It doesn't and shouldn't be all style and no substance, or vice versa
blazin201 - 5/1/2012, 9:49 AM
i agree @ marantz i dont want to see a one dimensional 3 hr superhero drama
nowtheresaBATman - 5/1/2012, 9:56 AM
marantz needs to drink some cranberry juice

DE4DPOOL needs to stop eating paste

@thewolfx & @darkseidspawns Right on dudes!
blazin201 - 5/1/2012, 9:57 AM
nolans batman universe just doesnt make sense to me. i dont get why all these villians from around the world want to keep taking over gotham n how does batman always get his ass beat with all that armor n gadgets? the joker beats his ass with a bat and 2 dogs n now bane is just doing it with his bare hands i just dont get it
rosco71 - 5/1/2012, 10:06 AM
meh,it looks boring, depressing and over two hours of trying to understand either Bale or Hardy, I'll still see it as im a batman fan but this trailer hasn't got me excited!!
ClarkWilson91 - 5/1/2012, 10:06 AM
Holy crap, holy crap, hate the new dc logo, holy crap holy crap it looks incredible!!!!!!!!!
OptimusPrimeTime - 5/1/2012, 10:07 AM
This is the honest to God's truth. I'm not a Nolanite, nor am I a Marvel fanboy.

This trailer was not what it should have been. Truly. It was decent. I really have come to expect more, and maybe that's my problem.

Truth is, if I didn't have Begins and TDK in my mind telling me this movie will be great, and this was a stand-alone movie, I wouldn't be the least bit excited. Unfortunately.
fattieacid - 5/1/2012, 10:07 AM
BATMAN > SPIDER-MAN > AVENGERS
nickh0801 - 5/1/2012, 10:08 AM
I'll watch the movie going in already unimpressed with it, that way it will be "better than I expected, but NOT GREAT" I hate Bane and everything about him, I'm a fan of the Burton version of Batmobile, not the Tumbler. Very unimpressed with Hathaway's version of Catwoman. Not a fan of the voices of Batman and Bane, but I can understand what they say. All in all, I'm glad this is Nolan's last one. Can't wait for the next run/reboot in about 5 to 10 years.
moneyruns77 - 5/1/2012, 10:10 AM
This will be tha best movie of tha year!!!!
TerminatorMode - 5/1/2012, 10:22 AM
im as excited about anyone for this movie but the trailer wasn't as good as it could have been. however, i'm sure that it was because they didn't want to reuse footage from the previous trailers and the rest of the movie just has too many spoilers so they were kinda constrained

i'm not about to say in nolan we trust or anything but this is shaping up to be something special - the whole aesthetic is just amazing and the little bit of bane's fighting style seen here is really cool
PirateOpossum - 5/1/2012, 10:26 AM
looks like it is the same things i didn't like about the dark knight i am not going to like about this one.. the costumes and character portrayals. other than that.. looks like it will be watchable.
OptimusPrimeTime - 5/1/2012, 10:27 AM
@@fattie

You haven't seen at least 2 of the 3 movies you listed.

You're guilty of what we like to call "drinking the kool-aid."

Or should we just call you INTRUDER?
hush - 5/1/2012, 10:28 AM
Batman is to The Avengers what The Godfather trilogy is to Get Shorty.

nowtheresaBATman - 5/1/2012, 10:42 AM
@CriFlor don't you mean Pre-Batman Begins/Iron Man? ;)
newmutants - 5/1/2012, 10:50 AM
LMAO...u damn marvelites crack me up....avengers is transformers 3 with all the damn explosions in the SAME DAMN SCENE....TDKR is a cinema frame of work...im not 12 years old anymore, i wanna see respect and adult themed versions of my drawn heroes..oh btw....Zimmer owns it again ! FU Feige...
Oxbow - 5/1/2012, 10:58 AM
Catwoman stole the show imo. I'm hoping Hathaway is to TDKR as Ledger was to TDK. Bane is easier to understand, though it's clear to my ears that they have artificially manipulated his voice. That takes me out of the movie a bit. As does the interpretation of Bane in this movie, which I feel is weak. It's not the batman I know or grew up with, but I still will give it a chance. At least Nolan & co. are making movies that are different than 90% of the sludge coming out of Hollywood. I would rather see him try for something new and not hit it than go the same old storytelling route I've seen for 20+ years
Lockjaw - 5/1/2012, 12:13 PM
I enjoyed the first 2 movies but this looks a bit boring.
jerseysportsbullies - 5/1/2012, 12:15 PM
Could have been more exciting. Only thing it gave me was that I'm 95% they will "break the bat" in the first 30-45 mins of film.
I'm thinking, tali saves him from that hole/pit thing. Offers to heal him with the Lazerous pit type thing, explain who/what Ra's really is. he takes time to think about.
Gotham is going to hell in the mean time. He comes back at end to kick some ass, with cat woman's help(she steals something that will help defeat bane)
rock209 - 5/1/2012, 12:20 PM
I know everyone is all hyped up for the avenger and who wounldnt be but this movie will be epic as the first two where and as soon as this trailer came out online i posted it on my Movie fans on Fb
CaseyJones1 - 5/1/2012, 1:14 PM
i have to say i like the second trailer alil bit more
Phlegmbot - 5/1/2012, 2:19 PM
The trailer has a lot of giggle-worthy moments. Anne's acting, the Mushmouth villain (who, later in the trailer, seems to have been dubbed by someone else), the young folk lamenting Batman's disappearance, and so on.

This'll be the funniest movie of the year.

Or perhaps it'll be a brilliant surprise. Trying to keep an open mind...trying really hard.
SolidSnake007 - 5/1/2012, 2:24 PM
It was [frick]ing boring. there was one scene that got me excited. Bane looks like a cosplayer ripoff fail. It's just not Bane...
Lego - 5/1/2012, 2:42 PM
^ [frick] off you faggot
Chaplin - 5/1/2012, 2:56 PM
Bane wasn't dubbed by someone else! you can clearly hear that it's Hardy. and do you guys really think any person can keep that muscle mass 24/7! no! I think there is a lot of potential for him to become a classic cinematic Batman villain but some people are just too prejudiced to wait for some more footage to judge
Alexandre - 5/1/2012, 3:23 PM
wow what a mix reaction....sarcasm
pucrepeap - 5/1/2012, 4:48 PM
I really thought it was boring. I know the movie will be much better, but as far as a trailer goes, that didn't do that much to pique my interest in seeing TDKR.
Lert - 5/1/2012, 7:25 PM
im suprised theres only 250 douchbags so far!
