Batman: Puppet Master Fan Film UPDATED!

Bryan Nest (Director) & Chris Wiltz (Writer) have launched a Kick starter page to fund a Batman fan film that takes place between The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises and they chose the one villain every Batman fan had money on that Nolan would use for his 3rd and last Batman film. Check out their video and voice your thoughts in the usual place.

Batman: Puppet Master is a short fan film set in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight universe. The story is meant as a sequel to The Dark Knight and will bridge the gap between that film and the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises. This is a film created by fans for fans and will deliver an exciting storyline that will introduce fans to new versions of Mr. Zsasz, The Ventriloquist, and Edward Nigma (aka The Riddler), who fans were expecting to appear in Nolan's third Batman film.

I always thought The Riddler is a lame villain. Almost every fan fic has him as a cross between the zodiac killer and jigsaw.

Nolan's version of Riddler would have basically been a rip-off of Joker. The motifs would have been way too similar, but cool fan film nonetheless.

Zsasz was already done in the Nolan movies, however brief it was. This looks like garbage.

So I was wondering, is this a preview? A Frank Miller rip off? It's just pictures and a narrator. Then I realized what it was at the end. Well, can't blame them for trying, and it is much better from a writing standpoint than most fan fic.

If it was at all faithful to the spirit of Batman or his rogues, then it's DEFINITELY not Nolan-esque haha. I don't know because I can't see it!

...Did no one not hear the part where they say this is just an animatic? Just a previewesque story board?

I'm not even a Nolan fan and this looks pretty bad ass.
Mainly because When I'm not a Joker fan, I'm a Riddler fan.
