STAR WARS: JJ Abrams Describes it As a "Mystery Box"

Back in 2007, JJ Abrams delivered a speech for TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) during which he addressed the original Star Wars, calling it a "mystery box" in that it kept the audience in suspense by withholding information. In this clip, he offers an explanation.

I think there should be some kind of rule that if you're gonna say "first" or whatever, you should also be required to state you age.

Grif, so help me, I'm starting to like you...
Grimfoe - 2/1/2013, 6:09 AM
I know my profile picture states the opposite, but I disagree, grif. I really liked Star Trek and I think this guy will do very well in the Star Wars universe.

(while I support your right to call this a "shit movie," I don't necessary agree with your opinion. :)

This movie will rock. I'm really looking forward to Trek 2 and I think episode 7 will be the best yet. While I enjoyed the Lucas films, looking back, they're a little condescending in the way they treat the audience.

CBM.com is the only site one the entire internet that I alway have a problem with. I get browser error messages like "Out of Memory at line 21" and none of the videos work right. To be such a good site with good info they really need to fix some of these problems. And please get rid of that YouTube replacement video viewer. It sucks. I assume it converts any video posted on the site to this viewer.
