Will another Daredevil movie ever happen? Of course not. But a guy can dream, can't he?
I really like the Ben Affleck Daredevil film. There, I said it. And you know what, I'm not alone. I seem to remember a lot of people liking it back in the day. It was anything but a flop. Hell, it was #1 in the country for two weeks in a row.
Then the whole "Bennifer" fiasco happened, and Gigli came out, and suddenly the "cool" thing was to bash Ben Affleck, and everything he did. Including Daredevil.
Well, I'm not going to bash Daredevil. In fact, instead of this crazy reboot they've been talking about, why not sequel the film with the same actors? If youi don't like Mark Steven Johnson (and after Ghost Rider, who does?), hell, Frank Miller's a director now, he could do it himself.
In fact, let's base it off the best comic book story arc in Marvel Comics history: Born Again!
It's my little fantasy that, despite the bad rap of the first film, Born Again would make money simply because of the great reviews it would get, talking about what a wonderful surprise and fantastic movie it was. But like I said, it's just a fantasy.
If Miller were to make the film, however, I would of course ask him to keep all the main actors.

Matt Murdock/Daredevil - Ben Affleck
Wilson Fisk/Kingpin - Michael Clarke Duncan
Karen Page - Ellen Pompeo
Ben Urich - Joe Pantoliano
Foggy Nelson - Jon Favreau
Det. Nick Manolis - Lennie Loftin
There's newcomers to the cast too. My casting choice for Nuke?
None other than Timothy Olyphant!
I've never watched Deadwood, but after seeing him in Catch and Release and Live Free or Die Hard, I think he's a really good actor and, if he could buff up his body some more, would make a great choice to play the psychotically patriotic merc!
You could start the film off with Daredevil having a great new career because of Kingpin being behind bars, putting away his underlings both on the street as Daredevil, and in the courtroom as Matt Murdock, in a relationship with his secretary Karen Page, and having great collaborations with both Detective Nick Manolis and reporter Ben Urich.
Then the Kingpin gets out, and makes Matt lose his job. Karen loses her job too, and in her despair, drifts apart from Matt. It could be her poverty, living on the street because of Kingpin, that makes her get on heroin.
And after that, just follow the graphic novel pretty much verbatim. The only thing you would really have to change would be Captain America's presence near the end, which could be easily written out.
I think it would be a great movie, and critics would be calling it the new Dark Knight. Why? Because it's BORN AGAIN!
