J. Scott Campbell has been the artist behind a multitude of variant covers (connecting or otherwise), including triptychs featuring All-New X-Men, Avengers and Uncanny Avengers, Superior Spider-Man, Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099, plus many more. Now the 41-year-old has once again paired with Midtown Comics, frequent exclusive distributor of his work, to create interlocking covers for Charles Soule and Steve McNiven's Death of Wolverine. The variants depict the love life of Logan -- more specifically, (from bottom left, going counter-clockwise) Rose in #1, Silverfox in #2, Mariko in #3 and finally, Jean Grey in #4. The artwork is expected to be completed within the next week, and can be pre-ordered from Midtown's website. Are you interested in purchasing these?

Is that Pocahontas?
Whatever. J Scott Campbell will forever be one of my favorite comic book artists ever since I was a kid.

very nice art but yeah, they need to just get this over with already. People say he'll just return in a few months but I'm starting to have a horrible feeling it's all a hoax and they aren't really killing him at all

Alex Ross' Variant has been the best thing to come out of this arc.

The best thing ever would be if they pull the rug out from under our feet and don't kill Wolverine.

I still think this will more lead into a name change, and he won't be "Wolverine" anymore.

Maybe Death will give him a new title. He's too valuable to her to stay dead.

LMAO these covers are based on X men 3 which was horrible, X men origins Wolverine which was horrible, the Wolverine which was good... and pocahontas?
kownthomer - 8/22/2014, 7:31 AM
@DCGuy - No. They are based on the comics. Rose (bottom left) was never even mentioned in the shit-storm that was X-men Origins.

you cant keep a good soldier down

@ DCGuy

Or they're based on comics and things that have happened to Wolverine in the past.

Does no one on this site really have no idea who Silver Fox is, for Christ's sake?
