That's ridiculous, even for a title like that.

DC knows Batman stans will gladly pay the 5 bucks. That's why they did it.

And yes, I'll pay the price. It's not like Marvel's much better.
At least DC still offer comics for $2.99. Can't remember the last time I saw Marvel have a comic at that price; everything's at $3.99, even series that I feel are smaller than a four-dollar book should be.

@staypuffed

Let's not make this about Marvel vs DC. It detracts from the real issue here.

@PAF
Well, there will be people who say some shit like "TYPICAL DC!!! Making their best comics expensive!!!" when Marvel aren't exactly offering bargain prices.
JamesMan
JamesMan - 10/2/2014, 5:51 PM
It's understandable why the price would go up for about 8 more pages of content. Whatever, I wait till the graphic novel releases anyway.

@staypuffed

I see what you mean but no one has mentioned Marvel yet. Like I said, by trying to dog Marvel your detracting from the real issue. Everyone knows Marvel doesn't offer comics below $3.99 no need to bring it up.

Talk about about a desperate move to try ad catch up to that other comic book stu...company that shall not be mentioned or some users here might throw a fit.

Batman is DCs best selling title and has been for the past few years? Well isn't this the surprise of the century?......

Although that price is pretty spendy, it'll be freaking worth it to read another Scott Snyder/Greg Capullo comic. These comics haven't stopped amazing me.

Its Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo! Best tag team in comics!

At least we get a couple more pages.

They're one of a few writer/artist combos to stay with their title since the inception of the New 52. They may very well be the only originals left, I don't know and I'm not gonna spend forever looking it up for sure. Regardless, its something special to stay on a title that long. Snyder's new book "Wytches" drops next week, cant [frick]ing wait.

If the story's worth it and it stays consistently great, i.e. Daredevil, then I'd pay $5 a month... but I'd seriously consider dropping another title.
McGee
McGee - 10/2/2014, 9:11 PM
Oh...well then I might be dropping this title from my saver at my Comic Book Shop. It'll be less expensive if I just buy the trades. This sucks because Snyder and Capullo have been brilliant with their run on Batman.

F*ck you Bob Harras. F*ck you very much. It wasn't enough to run Marvel into the ground in the 90s. Now you want to do the same with DC. Awesome. :D

Sucks that it's going up, but it'll be worth it for Snyder's & Capullo's Batman.

STILL the best title from either of the big 2 since New 52 and Marvel NOW.
