The pilot for the CW's The Flash leaked today, but was quickly taken down. However, many were given the chance to view the episode, and noticed some great easter eggs hidden within that point toward future character appearances.

One such easter egg points to Gorilla Grodd, one of the Flash's primary foes. In the comics, Grodd is a hyper-intelligent telepathic gorilla with the power to control the minds of others. Check out the easter egg here:

What do you guys think? May we see Grodd at some point during the series, or is this just a clever nod to fans? Sound off in the comments.

Lmao, everyone's making articles today.
BANE5000 - 6/24/2014, 6:22 PM
he'll be on the show and hope they make him Rise of the Panet of the Apes type of VFX :]
Darth258 - 6/24/2014, 6:23 PM
Where's the potential spoiler?

Oh wait..
SKOne - 6/24/2014, 6:24 PM
I'm excited and happy about everything CW/DC right now. I think it would be very cool if they included the Flash pilot as a bonus on the Arrow season two set. I just wonder if they will go with the Chewbacca or Caesar right route with for Grodd, because it will be on a tv budget.
Darth258 - 6/24/2014, 6:24 PM
Gotta find the pilot somewhere.
Hope they put Captain Cold too in the series someday.
Unreal2k9 - 6/24/2014, 6:24 PM
@Pasto One of the best parts of the site.

Unfortunately, I don't see a way we could have a traditional Gorilla Grodd. If we do see him, its going to be some weird and contrived way that keeps the budget low. As long as its creative, I'd be okay with that.

Sidney Crosby won another Hart Trophy. Best hockey player in the world.

Deal with it, Crosby.

Could they even convincingly pull off Grodd with a TV budget?
MrReese - 6/24/2014, 6:27 PM
Stupid smile on my face when I saw this. :)
JoeMomma29 - 6/24/2014, 6:27 PM
@ MrMartin

They pulled off the Flash...... it was awesome!!!
Pasto - 6/24/2014, 6:28 PM
Martin
They managed to pull off a man who can move at the speed of light on a TV budget, and give both DOFP's AND AOU's QS a run for their money.

I think they can handle a giant ape.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 6/24/2014, 6:28 PM
Unless they can get WETA, I doubt we'll be seeing him anytime soon
blackandyellow - 6/24/2014, 6:29 PM
And the Ted Lindsay Award.
BatManiac - 6/24/2014, 6:29 PM
I had a major geekgasm when I saw this easter egg. I really wasn't expecting to see anything Grodd related, so props to them.

I think there's a good chance we'll be seeing Grodd, but even if we don't, this is a great nod to the fans.

If they can pull off Grodd even half as good as the dragons in Game of Thrones I'll be happy!

JoeMomma29 - 6/24/2014, 6:32 PM
@ alamborn

I usually never report people on this site, but you are a racist piece of shit!!!!
blackandyellow - 6/24/2014, 6:33 PM
LMAO Joe. I don't think I've ever seen you call someone a piece of shit before.
JuneThePanda - 6/24/2014, 6:33 PM

What they did with the Flash was pretty good but let's not get carried away here.
batz11 - 6/24/2014, 6:33 PM
b&y, you do know you're on a nerd site, right? nobody knows what the [frick] you're talking about, except the few Canucks on here, you and me, lol...
BatManiac - 6/24/2014, 6:34 PM
After what I just saw, I'm not even going to question what they can and cannot pull off with their budget. They CLEARLY know what they're doing.
themidnightking - 6/24/2014, 6:34 PM
@alamborn
Fùck Outta Here with that mess!
JoeMomma29 - 6/24/2014, 6:35 PM
@ B&Y

LOL! Yeah that comment caught me off guard.
SuperDude001 - 6/24/2014, 6:35 PM
Good prostetics and costuming could do him justice, and frankly props do still looks better than CGI so they don't have to try a 'Game Of Thrones' and CG him in on a TV budget...just look at something like 'Doctor Who' perfect example of the monsters you can make on TV...having said that I doubt we'll see Grodd anytime soon. They'd be stupid not to use him, especially after this easter egg, but he should definitely come along as a big villain at least after the first season.
JoeMomma29 - 6/24/2014, 6:36 PM
So many awesome Easter eggs.........
blackandyellow - 6/24/2014, 6:37 PM
Haha yeah batz, I know. Somebody on this site is going to remember that info, meet a girl at a bar who's into hockey, use that knowledge as an ice-breaker and end up getting a piece of ass. It's bound to happen eventually.
MrMartinMarvel - 6/24/2014, 6:37 PM
@Joe/Pasto I hope so, I haven't seen the pilot, so I'm not sure.
Pasto - 6/24/2014, 6:37 PM
*Gets half-way through watching the Flash leaked episode*
*While trying to switch tabs he closes the tab containing the Flash video*
*Rushes back to website to see if the video is still there*
*401 VIDEO REMOVED*
*Cries internally*
themidnightking - 6/24/2014, 6:38 PM
I would like to see how they do Grodd
JoeMomma29 - 6/24/2014, 6:38 PM
YEAH the special effects were awesome and when he was running around the tornado was gorgeous...... they can handle a ape.
BatManiac - 6/24/2014, 6:40 PM

^ This!
ALegendaryPanda - 6/24/2014, 6:41 PM
If it's possible, they should get WETA to help out with Grodd.

JoeMomma29 - 6/24/2014, 6:41 PM
Damn I am still stoked to see the official premier this fall in HD!
BatManiac - 6/24/2014, 6:43 PM
Seriously though, the pilot was so [frick]ing EPIC! I'm one happy Flash fan right now!

themidnightking - 6/24/2014, 6:44 PM
@Joemomma
Aren't we all? lol
NovaCorpsFan - 6/24/2014, 6:45 PM
How does spotting Easter Eggs warrant an entire article? Then again I did the Adam Warlock thing, but I took that somewhere! Easter eggs are spotted by hundreds of people, yet ONE person always seems to decide to dedicate an article to the whole thing. It baffles me, it really does.
ALegendaryPanda - 6/24/2014, 6:45 PM
I'm so glad I got to watch the episode before it was taken down. That was honestly one of the best pilots I've ever seen!
batz11 - 6/24/2014, 6:48 PM
A chic into hockey, dreams could come true!

batz11 - 6/24/2014, 6:49 PM
@Nova, or the guy who makes a comment like you did on said article, lol ;)
