Honestly, if I don't end up seeing the film, it won't be because it looks bad (the trailers make it look kind of watchable) it'll be because of Trank's shitty attitude. A smart director, in his position -- a guy making pretty big changes to a comic book's source material for a movie. A smart director would be spending overtime trying to be the fans' buddy. He'd be doing everything in his power to quash the fans' fears, and convince them that he has their best interests at heart.

Meanwhile Trank is all like "You don't like my gritty, grounded realistic take on Fantastic 4? [frick] you, it worked for Nolan. You don't like that their costumes look nothing like the source material? [frick] you, it worked for Singer. You don't like that I cast one of my personal friends to play a comic book character of a different race? [frick] you, you're a racist."

I think a lot of Trank's more controversial choices that he's made on this movie could be fixed with a wink and a smile. But instead the guy is flipping off the fanbase, and talking down to us for not getting his art.

This is a lot different than First Class though

First Class obviously took inspiration from the other X-Men movies and was still in the same universe. Mcavoy and Fassbender even modeled their characters after Stewart and Mckellen, Fassbender more, but you could see the influence. I mean, they even used Rebecca Romijn's face as an older Mystique to pay homage to the previous movies and Jackman made a cameo.

This, on the other hand, is a completely different take on The Fantastic Four. Plus, this movie doesn't have Matthew Vaughn, Fassbender, Mcavoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Bacon, etc

The star power alone on First Class ensured that people would see it

If your really a fan of Jordan. Stop falling into that trap. The Studio is trying to make him the martyr. The production of this movie has been a train wreck. Fox has a poor track record so fans are wary.

I'm not counting them out but I'm just like damn. First Varejao in the season, then Love in the first round playoffs, now Kyrie after he played a great game in the finals.

I do think the Cavs still have a chance. The only way IMO they will win is if Shumpert and JR come to play and Thompson scores down low. None of them scored in the second half.

If the Cavs do win it will no doubt go down in history as legendary. Hopefully they do.

I've already accepted the fact that this will be nothing like the comic book. That's okay. I don't like the comic book. I'm actually interested in this.

This just feels like The Amazing Spider-Man all over. The first thought of what could've been a great reboot and then everything we've seen just looks awful while a sequel has already been announced. Remind anyone of a similar CBM? I'd be so surprised if this even gets a sequel, but if it does, like TAS-M, the sequel will finish off the reboot series.

-Fantastic Four will be a financial success but not a blockbuster
-The male boycott participants will make excuses how they were forced to see it with their kids or girlfriends.
-The after credits scene will be one of the most talked about scenes this summer.
-People will say it was a great film just not a great "Fantastic Four" film.
-Rotten Tomatoes reviews and early viewing reviews will spark controversy and numerous flame wars.

-"Let the prophecy commence".
