@Dionysios Extremely excited, it's good to see it getting updates. With filming starting in two months, the updates are going to start rolling in fast.

I remember seeing this for the 1st time, I was 7yrs old and my dad let me stay up to watch the local late nite moster show on channel 4 Indiana Sammyterry . This was during the time when Shogun warriors and Godzilla toys where just hitting the toy stores, not mention the cartoon on saturday mornings. I thought this was the coolest movie I had ever seen...Okay I think I'm gonna cry.

@astromerc i feel compelled to agree with you. Ive been dipping into my childhood piece by piece and just completed several godzilla, the origional power rangers (the first 3 seasons) and the wwe top 50 finishing moves and at the end of all of them im fighting back tears. Watching that stuff from back in the day it feels like it was all just yesterday. Im gunna go have a bowl of fruity pebbles and play a game of double dragon on my sega genesis.

Just watched the movie again after reading this. This is a classic among classics. As soon as the monster battle starts, hilarity ensues. This must have been great when I watched it when I was a kid back in the 70's. Now, it's great for a different reason. It's funny as hell. As bad as it is, you just gotta love Godzilla. Plot and scenes make no sense. Monsters acting like high school kids. It's something that will put a smile on your face because it's so unbelievable(in a monster movie sense). Yes, the Godzilla drop kicks are what other monsters aspire to.

I forgot to say that the Jet Jaguar song at the end is like icing on the cake. They couldn't have made a worst movie. But I'd still watch it a million times just because it's Godzilla and it's funny as hell.

I saw when I was in high school in the 70s. After it was over my best friend just gave me a look like "really?"

I didn't care though, it was Godzilla, I just pitied him because he didn't understand LOL

How could anyone not like Godzilla vs Megalon? You've got the tail slide, a cool robot, monsters talkin' trash to each other(in monster speak anyways) and the Jet Jaguar song at the end.

On the same line, I disagree about Final Wars. That movie was awesome. It's only problem was not enough Godzilla. But the Godzilla vs Zilla fight alone makes that movie worth watching. Plus it's one of the few times that the human story wasn't completely boring. Between Don Frye and Kazuki Kitamura's performances I was entertained. I will say though, out of that particular group of movies (Millenium) Giant Monsters All Out Attack is probably my favorite. The characters in that movie were equally as compelling as the monster action.

@beane2099 Oh I agree about Final Wars, I think it's awesome too. I was just saying what the majority of fans feel about that movie.

Final Wars was fantastic. One of the best action films I've seen in a lot of ways. Although it did have some slightly strange parts... over all it was fantastic.

Great review bro.
