Duncan Jones' WARCRAFT Moved Far, Far Away From STAR WARS EPISODE VII's Release Date
Disney declared war on Universal when they announced that J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII would be released on the same date as Duncan Jones' adaptation of World of Warcraft. Well, it's the latter who have now backed down as they've moved Warcraft back to March. The movie will be heavy on CGI, so it should also give them the time they need to ensure it looks as good as possible. Star Wars is now free to dominate December in 2015 unless Warner Bros. end up deciding to pit Batman Vs. Superman against them! The Mummy reboot also has a release date, while Seventh Son is now set to be released more than a year later than expected!
Hollywood knows by now that you don't mess with Marvel, and you sure as hell don't mess with Star Wars! Perhaps that's why Duncan Jones' Warcraft has been delayed until 2016? Meanwhile, Andrés Muschietti's reboot of The Mummy will also land that year and Seventh Son has been delayed by a year!
