GAME OF THRONES: Gwendoline Christie & Rory McCann On Their Brutal Finale Fight Scene

GAME OF THRONES: Gwendoline Christie & Rory McCann On Their Brutal Finale Fight Scene

Sunday's season 4 finale of Game Of Thrones featured possibly the most brutal hand-to-hand fight scene between two main characters yet. In the following vid, Rory McCann (The Hound) and Gwedoline Christie (Brienne) talk us through it..with some input from Maisie Williams (Arya) for good measure.

Of course these two never even crossed paths in the books, but I think it makes much more sense to have The Hound taken out by another major, well loved character than a bunch of nobodies. But is 'ol Sandor Clegane really done for? What do you guys think?

Crazy how this show has characters you despise at one time and then change to loving them (or at least feel kinda bad for them) later on...the Hound, Jamie, Theon...

Gwen is actually really pretty when she's not on GoT

Great fight! Didn't mind that they changed this, though was certain and would've preferred that it was Lady Stoneheart Brienne and Pod were moving towards. Guess they want to save that for next Season, given books 4/5 don't have as many big surprises or events like the first three.

Definitely think he's coming back at some stage, got to have a proper Mountain vs Hound fight towards the end. Not a book spoiler as they've caught up to the Hounds material, but we do suspect he's still alive and maybe glimpsed in Feast

It was a good fight. Although I think that Lady Stoneheart might've been a bigger cliffhanger to reveal at the end of the this season.

pretty sure they cut scenes out of the season, before HBO blocked the trailers that were on youtube when the season started. The final trailer #4 showed a different fate for Brienne which would have led to Lady Stoneheart's appearance but it never happened.

Great fight. Fantastic show. The grey area of characters and events keeps you guessing as to how any fight will turn out.
CplHicks - 6/18/2014, 6:22 AM
What did the blocked trailer show? Her with the Brothers without Banners?
GodzillaKart - 6/18/2014, 6:25 AM
Perhaps this article should have a spoiler warning? The Hound going over the cliff kinda let's you know how things turn out.
ConnorJMacleod - 6/18/2014, 6:28 AM
Cant see anything in the Trailer below about Brienne:

Btw. Hope Sandor returns. Love Rory McCann!

If you're foolish enough to click on an article about an ep you haven't seen yet and watch the vid, you deserve to be spoiled.

I get the feeling that sleeping with Gwendoline would be one of those wonderful experiences where a woman could wrap her arms around you and...and you'd feel safe. You'd have to make her a sandwich afterwards though and also run the risk of her going to her little whore if you didn't make her happy.'d have to keep an eye on someone like Michael Cera 'cus he might be a home wrecker.
McGee - 6/18/2014, 7:03 AM
Oh Gwendoline....I'd love to get you a beer while you watch the game.

And if you hit me occasionally...well, it was probably my fault.

sisko1962 - 6/18/2014, 7:24 AM
That was better than any PPV shit! The way it was going I thought both would go over the cliff!
Tevii - 6/18/2014, 7:28 AM
Never read the books, but i dont think he's dead since we never saw him die. I bet some traveler finds him and saves him.
MortalAsgardian - 6/18/2014, 8:06 AM
I was shouting "NOOOOOO" when the Hound was thrown off the cliff. hahaha
ruadh - 6/18/2014, 8:12 AM
Sameoldthing, that's true but also sometimes a good combatant knows how to use the terrain/environment to their advantage.
BeyondTheGrave - 6/18/2014, 9:30 AM
There might have been another trailer, I clearly remember seeing brienne burning at a stake. I watched the trailer several times originally just to be sure
ConnorJMacleod - 6/18/2014, 9:37 AM
This one here. There is no other trailer with Fire and a Woman or something else like that

You've seen something thats not there dude ;)
Ryguy88 - 6/18/2014, 1:30 PM
Aw man, The Hound was my favourite! I woulda put money on him going to the end!
BlackBolt72 - 6/18/2014, 7:10 PM
Still can't believe she killed the Hound. The Mountain is still alive and will become a Frankenstein like creature. Where the hell is this thing going?
gurugeorge - 6/19/2014, 5:02 AM
You never know, there might actually have been a Maester hiding behind the rock :)
