GAME OF THRONES' Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson "Hulks Up" For Kids Birthday Party

GAME OF THRONES' Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson "Hulks Up" For Kids Birthday Party

We may all hate his Game Of Thrones character Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane, but the actor who plays him is the much nicer Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson. See a video of the "strongest man in Iceland" transform into The Hulk and terrify some children at a birthday party.

I think it's fair to say The Mountain is not any Game Of Thrones fan's favorite character at the moment, but the actor who plays him does attempt to bring some joy to a kid on his birthday..even if he winds ups caring the bejaysus out of him in the process! Icelandic strongman Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson underwent a 2 hour makeup job to become the Incredible Hulk and attend a children's party. The birthday boy is initially scared (can you blame him?) but pretty soon joins in the fun. There's no subtitles in the vid, but you should get the gist.

I'd be scared as shit too if that guy walked through the door
HavocPrime - 6/5/2014, 9:06 AM
Aww he a gentle giant
ScorpioRisin - 6/5/2014, 9:09 AM
Now I know his voice was definitely dubbed. He doesn't have the "giant" tone at all.
XF14 - 6/5/2014, 9:29 AM
It will be addressed in the show

The Mountain is a perfect example of how anyone can be good: goes from smashing a baby's head against a wall, destroying it completely, then raping the mother with the baby's blood and brains still on his hangs before murdering her by crushing her skull to being a children's birthday entertainer!

[frick] the Mountain......
Ryguy88 - 6/5/2014, 10:21 AM
This guy is fittingly massive but I preferred that Stevenson guy from season one. He looked rougher, older and more likely to go on a murderous raping rampage.
Bearjew - 6/5/2014, 10:24 AM
This guy's career is going to blow up, he'd be the perfect actor to portray the Juggernaut
RorMachine - 6/5/2014, 10:27 AM
Except he can barely speak English. Most of his lines were dubbed in the show.
Bearjew - 6/5/2014, 10:28 AM
Also, the Mountain smashed Elia's head? I guess so. But Oberyn said he split her in half with a sword.
McGee - 6/5/2014, 10:29 AM
Ror... Most Americans can't speak English. We've done pretty well.
Bearjew - 6/5/2014, 10:30 AM
@Ror who cares? David Prowse played Darth Vader and had his voice dubbed in, as did Ray Park for Darth Maul
Ryguy88 - 6/5/2014, 10:31 AM
fortycals - 6/5/2014, 10:36 AM
I think I could take him.
GodzillaKart - 6/5/2014, 10:38 AM
Awesome. Definitely the most intimidating guy to play The Mountain...although the events of the day may have had something to do with that.
driver - 6/5/2014, 10:49 AM
@fortycals In Dungeons and Dragons.
BlindJustice - 6/5/2014, 10:52 AM
Why so many actors to play The Mountain? He's supposed to be the older brother (between him and The Hound), but now he looks like The Hound's kid brother. But alas, he dies from the poison-tipped blade anyway. (Oops...spoiler alert)

Anyway, looks like the girls enjoyed his Hulk more than the boys at the party.
RorMachine - 6/5/2014, 10:55 AM
Sorry but..

Those that think The Mountain dies obviously haven't read past book 3?
RorMachine - 6/5/2014, 10:56 AM
Praetorian, Vader wore a mask and Maul had literally 3 lines...unless you want a mostly mute Juggernaut?
fettastic - 6/5/2014, 11:05 AM
They went nuts with the shadows. It looks kinda ridiculous.
BlindJustice - 6/5/2014, 11:09 AM
@RorMachine - So why doesn't Tyrion get put to death then? I remember The Mountain dying slowly from the poison... Sorry for the spoiler.

Have you not read Book 4?
DrunkenNukem - 6/5/2014, 11:30 AM
DAMN...That´s some big ass fella...

fortycals - 6/5/2014, 11:31 AM
Lol. Never played d&d, but I still like my odds in a street fight.
DrunkenNukem - 6/5/2014, 11:31 AM
So we are giving away GOT spoilers???

Because Jaimie saves....

and then Tywin i cant do that...

Guerillas - 6/5/2014, 11:48 AM
He´s born in 1988... way to young. But i think it worked i guess? As the Mountain..
RorMachine - 6/5/2014, 11:52 AM

BlindJustice, Tyrion escapes with Jamie's help. And yes they tell people that The Mountain has died, but secretly Qyburn has been bringing him back to life as an even more unstoppable armored monster.
ckal - 6/5/2014, 12:43 PM
Ser Robert Strong.

Hope we hear him agonizing screaming through out King's Landing and disturbing everyone in the city on the show.
DrunkenNukem - 6/5/2014, 12:58 PM
dammit ror
Gmoney84 - 6/5/2014, 1:27 PM
That dude is massive.
McGee - 6/5/2014, 2:38 PM
Damn it Ror. I had no idea Tyrion kills Tywin. Put some damn spoilers up! >:(
RetroFit - 6/5/2014, 2:47 PM
This was posted days ago. Ror strikes again.

Odin - 6/5/2014, 2:55 PM
@RetroFit Thank you!
BTW any chance for you changing your avatar-pic, it freaks me out.
mgeoff88 - 6/5/2014, 3:16 PM
That's really cool of him to do that.

@LeroyJenkins Leroy Jenkins!!!
RorMachine - 6/5/2014, 3:35 PM
RetroFit - I see three pictures of the actor joined together. This is a video, and, some actual txt to go along with it.

Are you seriously telling me you don't see the difference?

marvel72 - 6/5/2014, 3:53 PM
the guy is f*ckin huge,i hope the hound takes on the mountain at some point in game of thrones.
agentofchaos - 6/5/2014, 7:24 PM

Mercwitham0uth - 6/5/2014, 8:22 PM
