GAME OF THRONES S4, E06 Promo; "The Laws Of Gods And Men"

Phew, that was quite an episode, eh? HBO have now released a promo for next week's episode of Game of Thrones, an episode which sounds pretty interesting and intense as Tyrion looks set to a showdown with his father, while Stannis and Davos come up with a new strategy...

Stannis (Stephen Dillane) and Davos (Liam Cunningham) are going to set sail with a new strategy. Dany is going to meet with supplicants. Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) will face down his father in the throne room. The episode was written Bryan Cogman, and it was directed by Alik Sakharov.

Im confused, Lysa killed Jon?
BlkThunderGod - 5/4/2014, 7:24 PM
Littlefinger is officially that dude. Damn I wish this show was 2 hours long!
Spock0Clock - 5/4/2014, 7:30 PM

Yeah, that caught me off guard. I've read the books, but I must have missed that detail. Varys called him the most dangerous man in Westeros, and he's definitely living up to it. The War of the Five Kings never would happened if not for Littlefinger.

Also, a moment of silence for a fallen hero.

He was a [frick]ing legend in Gin Alley.
Rip in peace, Karl. You're murdering angels now...

^^ That...but with vaginas fighting over a penis.

Man, who could've possibly seen that coming? Littlefinger is basically single-handedly responsible for setting in motion the chain of events from the very first episode of the series onward. Wow. I was shocked when that was revealed in such an unexpected, nonchalant way.

He helped kill Joffrey, he's married into the influential Arryn family, he killed Jon Arryn (which led to Ned becoming Hand of the King and literally EVERYTHING that follows) Petyr the most important person in Westeros? Looks like it. Can't wait for next week.

I loved the reunion of Ghost & Jon Snow.

Spock0Clock - 5/4/2014, 9:28 PM

Gulity. I pretty much marathoned the books once I caught up with the show. By the third, I was probably not in the right head space for it. I should have paced myself.

On the plus side, watching the show has some genuine twists to it.
MisterHolmes - 5/4/2014, 9:31 PM
dammit, just when i get caught up i got bored with this show, now this season is awesome but i fell behind again. time to catch up i guess
MarkV - 5/4/2014, 10:16 PM
Strange, my post got deleted. Was Tyrion brought to trial yet?
Spock0Clock - 5/4/2014, 10:42 PM

@dcnoob, @spock0clock...Yeah, they pushed the Lysa reveal up, from the end of the book, which surprised me. I figured that reveal would be at least episode 9 or 10, cause in the book there was a lot more to that conversation (not going to spoil it cause the rest of that conversation will be in either ep. 9 or 10). At the very last chapter of book 3, before the epilogue, Lysa reveals everything we just saw in this past ep. 5, that LittleFinger was behind everything and gave her the poison. Oh non-readers, you are still in store for some very, very surprising treats coming up.
TheSoulEater - 5/5/2014, 1:21 AM
All he has to do is lean in to say something and Tyrion freaking OWNS a scene, even when you don't get to hear what it was.
Klone - 5/5/2014, 4:01 AM
So they won't be using *spoilers*Coldhands?*spoilers*
Klone - 5/5/2014, 4:02 AM

Well, he isn't solely responsible for the war, but he is catalyst for a lot of things that set of the chain of the events. It's also believed he was the one whispering in Joffrey's ear to get him to execute Ned, causing the North to rise up.
symbiotics - 5/5/2014, 5:37 AM
@Spock0Clock I call him discount Willem Dafoe
KeefNCookies - 5/5/2014, 7:39 AM
I couldnt help but spoil myself before s4 aired on some of the broad strokes coming up... best spoilers ever. Cannot wait to see it on screen, and I'm still bewildered by all the finer details when I see it. Thank you Wikipedia :)

Best show ever made.

datNAMEtho - 5/5/2014, 3:31 PM
FINALLY getting to see Braavos next episode!

For book readers, this was a great episode!!
case - 5/5/2014, 8:23 PM
So rad. Littlefinger is some kind of beast.
thedangle1 - 5/6/2014, 8:11 PM
@darkknightmare2012...the night's watch guys stayed there after they killed Lord Mormont earlier in the third season. Them being their in episode 5 was not in the book. In the book, they were killed right after they killed Lord Mormont and Mance Rader's wife gave Sam her baby to protect and took Gilly with him. It was Theon Greyjoy who is being tortured and had his wiener cut off. The whole torture story in the show never played out in the books. In book 2, Theon was taken hostage, just like in the show, but you didn't see him again until about 1/3rd of the way into the 4th book as Reek, being dragged by a chain by Ramsey Snow. He wasn't even in the third book. It was explained later in the fourth book what happened to Theon. He was being tortured cause Ramsey thought he killed Bran and Rikon Stark, and cause Ramsey Snow is crazy and likes those games.
