PRESS RELEASE: Official Synopsis For THE MUPPETS...AGAIN! Revealed

Disney have sent out larger versions of those previously seen images from the upcoming sequel to The Muppets, but accompanying them is an official synopsis for the movie which elaborates on what we can expect from the plot, and reveals some character names etc.

"Disney’s “The Muppets …Again!” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon."

Disney’s The Muppets … Again! is directed by James Bobin and produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. Bobin co-wrote the screenplay with Nicholas Stoller, who is also executive producer with John Scotti. Featuring music from Academy Award®-winning songwriter Bret McKenzie, the movie hits the big screen March 21, 2014.

Cool that Ty Burrell is in the Disney loop (I guess he already was since MODERN FAMILY is on Disney-owned ABC.)

I wonder if he'd be up for reprising his TIH role as Doc Samson for a future Marvel flick. As an Emmy winner with some cred, he'd certainly be less likely to be replaced -- though admittedly he doesn't have the physique for the gamma-irradiated Samson.
