He did indeed. I mean the whole film sucked, but what can you do.

I second Gaston's comment.

The film was great. And I notice that a lot of times an actor, once the sequel is coming out, will bash his performance in the original as if to agree with fans and to promote the sequel.
MarkCassidy

Destroyer, the actor from the movie just ADMITTED that he was crap! Maybe you just like a bad movie?

Destroyer14: Film was great? Is that sarcasm or? I sure hope so.

He forgot the part about the movie itself sucking.
Destroyer14
Destroyer14 - 1/9/2012, 7:23 PM
It's not a 9/10 Ror, a 7/10 at most. He himself wasn't that great, but the movie itself was good.

While it could have been better personally I liked Clash of the Titans.

selinakyle - 1/9/2012, 7:25 PM
Come on now Destroyer. Are we really calling Clash of the Titans "great" in 2012? Only thin great about that movie was Mads Mikkelsen.

Ok, I'll play Devil's advocate..what I DID like: Some of the action, maybe one special effects shot, Mads Mikkelson (although of course he was underused), Gemma Arterton kinda..the end credits.
Destroyer14
Destroyer14 - 1/9/2012, 7:29 PM
I need to revisit the film so I could post a review. The main thing that was great was the Kraken.
selinakyle
selinakyle - 1/9/2012, 7:32 PM
I agree. I really don't understand how Tatum is an actor.
@ destroyer, liking a single element of a movie doesn't mean the entire movie itself is good. I like looking at Mads in his lil gladiator outfit but that didn't stop me from realizing the movie sucked. We should just have The Rock play every action movie role and be done with it.
Destroyer14
Destroyer14 - 1/9/2012, 7:35 PM
@selinakyle I liked a lot more, (scorpion scene was intense) that was just the best part in my humble opinion.
selinakyle
selinakyle - 1/9/2012, 7:38 PM
I understand that but it doesn't translate to 'great movie' or a '7/10'.
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 1/9/2012, 7:40 PM
I respect Sam W for being so honest, and he CAN actually act..I thought he was pretty good in Avatar, and very good in The Debt
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 1/9/2012, 7:42 PM
Destroyer, I guess I just think differently about what makes a movie enjoyable. You are talking about actin scenes in which I couldn't give a damn what happened to any of the characters because the movie didn't give a damn about them. They were just dudes in skirts being killed by a (badly) CGI monster..so I felt it was the complete opposite of intense.
selinakyle
selinakyle - 1/9/2012, 7:44 PM
He has been good in everything else. And i concur about The Debt. He was pretty good in Last Night too.

Destroyer14
Destroyer14 - 1/9/2012, 7:48 PM
Ror, for me, monster action is what makes a film 'enjoyable.' For a film to be 'good' it has to have a good story and characters. Clash had a dull main character, but some interesting side-characters and a pretty good story, gets a 7/10 in my book.
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 1/9/2012, 8:00 PM
Hey that's cool, I'm not telling you not to like it, just explaining why I don't. But I will say, it really didn't have a good story..it didn't even make any sense. The lapses in logic and continuity are some of the biggest criticisms of the movie. Characters just randomly changing motivations etc..
Destroyer14
Destroyer14 - 1/9/2012, 8:06 PM
The story itself was pretty good, the way it was executed could have been better.
selinakyle
selinakyle - 1/9/2012, 8:07 PM
ugh...
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 1/9/2012, 8:11 PM
lol, dude the story itself is laid out in front of em in Greek Mythology AND the original movie and they still messed it up. I mean what does that tell you?
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 1/9/2012, 8:12 PM
..by the way I also love monster movies, always have, ever since the old Harryhausen flicks. That's why thsi was so disappointing for me.

jjmeylar - 1/9/2012, 8:15 PM
I really enjoyed Clash, but Sam really DID suck in it. It's one of my guilty pleasure films, I guess.
Destroyer14
Destroyer14 - 1/9/2012, 8:19 PM
I thought it was well-paced, but needed to be developed better.

"the voice over role in the video game Tour of Duty"

LOL WTF?!?!?

Don't you mean CALL of Duty?? He played the main character in Black Ops. The error made me lol a bit :P

@Destroyer14- Please name the Titans that were in Clash of the Titans.
odie00
odie00 - 1/9/2012, 8:32 PM
Well at least he admits it haha, the first movie wasn't very good at all. And it wasn't just because of him there were plenty things wrong with it. The second one does look better though.
Destroyer14
Destroyer14 - 1/9/2012, 8:33 PM
@ScionStorm The titans themselves don't appear in both films. The clash would be talking about Percy and the Kraken as 'titans.'
Shadowelfz
Shadowelfz - 1/9/2012, 8:35 PM
At least he's honest. Same goes with Terminator: Salvation... he could have been so much better. He's been good in other roles so I wonder if he just needs motivation.

The same cant be said of Tatum. No amount of motivation can make him a good actor. Ugh.
ScionStorm
ScionStorm - 1/9/2012, 8:37 PM
@Destroyer14- So it's never been worth watching. To have a movie based on Greek mythology with Titan in the title and not having Titans in the movie. The stupid didn't stop with the original film. The Kraken is not a titan. Never has been. It's like advertising McDonalds as a five star hotel.
