Warner Bros. Unveils HARRY POTTER WIZARDS COLLECTION 31 Disc Blu-Ray/DVD Set

Featuring 8 Blu-ray discs, 8 DVDs and 2 Blu-ray 3D discs, this pricey set will bring each of the Harry Potter movies into one ultimate collection. Hit the jump for details and a first look at the packaging.

Last December, it was revealed that Warner Bros. would stop producing any more Harry Potter DVD's and Blu-ray's; meaning that once the current stock runs out, that would be it. At the time, many speculated that the reason for this was that they would eventually release one single box set containing each of the films. It looks like that is finally here, as the following collection has been listed on Amazon. However, the price (a whopping $349.99) may put some fans off from picking up the impressive sounding collection. There is currently no release date, although you can get a taste of what to expect from it below.

Contains 31 discs, inclusive of all content ever previously released, in addition to over 5 hours of never before seen special features, in a limited and numbered edition.

18 Movie Discs:

-Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
(Theatrical Version and Extended Cut)
-Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
(Theatrical Version and Extended Cut)
-Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
-Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
-Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
-Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
-Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 1
(2D and 3D Versions)
-Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2
(2D and 3D Versions)

13 Special Feature Discs:

-Includes multiple specially-produced, collectable memorabilia items, including concept art, a Map of Hogwarts and much more! Check back for further details coming in 2012.

I wonder if they'll release an Avengers box set, I'm sure they will, but it would be cool to have phase one leading up to the Avengers in one place
hartley07 - 3/2/2012, 4:47 AM
Seriously? All this time ive been waiting for an extended edition box set and they are only giving you the extended editions for 1 and 2? Why????? Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard. This is probaby why HP didnt win anything at the oscars cause the academy heard about how retarded this box set is. Go make me a sandwich, Dobby.

o yes smokey i reckon the yanks will just get a blu ray triple play mean while us brits will get a steelbook to the avengers. iam not a harry potter fan but that is an awesome box collection.

This pisses me off, as the article said they were going to stop making the dvds so I made sure to get the complete 8 film set, which didn't come with much extra, but now of course they were saving all that for this. But luckily the price for this doesn't make me feel like I wasted my money on what I already own.
SUPERSP00NS - 3/2/2012, 7:33 AM
Don't care for the Potter films... Come find me when the 3rd Avengers film is out and there's a boxset of all 15 Marvel Studios films up to that point - THEN we'll talk! :P
valeriesghost - 3/2/2012, 9:19 AM
That is the coolest looking boxset i've seen. and nice Borat reference tea@ that was my one of my favorite parts :)
Timmer82 - 3/2/2012, 9:51 AM
What about Extended Editions for Years 3-7? Huh? Damn Warner Bros.
Tevii - 3/2/2012, 10:48 AM
For that price they should be including Extended versions of ALL the films... BS
JasonCYates - 3/2/2012, 11:22 AM
TO HELL WITH THIS!!!!!!! I got my Complete 8-FILM Collection on BLU-RAY, I ain't payin $349 for a goddamn old timey jewelry box so WB can milk the bejeezus out of a past franchise when they should be gearing up to start new franchises, like expanding the DC COMICS FILM UNIVERSE so as to compete w/ MARVEL, starting w/ WONDER WOMAN, for the love of great Hera, WHERE IS WONDER WOMAN!!!!!!! If you need me to write the screenplay, just say so, WB, I'm ready!!!!! WTF:(

Prisoner of azkaban is the only potter film worth a watch....
VikingPatar - 3/2/2012, 6:27 PM
The first two films are the only ones with extended editions. David Yates passed on putting together extended versions of the ones he did. Which is a damn shame because Order of the Phoenix supposedly had almost an hour cut from it.

Someone should do the series again but for tv, but make each book into 2hour parts, sorta like band of brothers or sherlock. Just make it follow the books exactly then you could have every story line
shaunamulla - 3/5/2012, 3:51 PM
As much as I love Harry Potter I will not be buying this box set. Sorry Warner Brothers. I would much rather have the extended editions for all the movies not the first two. Everyone, buy the Ultimate Edition Harry Potter movies!
